I believe this was my second favourite of this series, solely because the character development of the characters was very realistic. However the reuse of the the witch hunters seemed like a step back in the plot.

This was another great read in the Highlander In Time series and this time it's Delilah and Gavin's story. I was surprised to find that the whole story is based on Delilah's thoughts, I'm used to both characters having their thoughts described but that's ok, it didn't detract from the story:) It was also wonderful to revisit the characters from the previous books in the series!

Delilah is quite the strong heroine and can certainly take care of herself, no matter which era she's in:) When she travels back in time, she finds out one of her ancestors was a witch that had put a curse on the MacClaren family and it's up to her to figure out how to reverse that curse. What follows is quite the adventure and between fighting off witch hunters and falling for Gavin, there's never a dull moment!!

I absolutely love time travel books! This is one of the better ones I hav eread recently and this author will be added to my faourites selection for thid genre!
This is the 6th in a series and even though I have not read any of the previous in the series I thoroughly enjoyed it!!! I loved the interplay between the characters and how Delilah made do with her change in circumstances! She was totally sceptical initially but came to accept the irrefutable truth and went with the flow to a large degree but still showed her true traits!
A really good tale of love and redemption in a dangerous setting that flows well and keeps you hooked!
I will be going back to the other books in the series!!


The only flaw in my opinion is the language of speech - it is too modern for the time! Hence only 4 stars, otherwise I would have given the full 5!!

This is an intriguing, dramaticand amusing story. Gavin was once in love with Morag, a witch who cursed the clan after the Laird ha denied them permission to marry. Delilah is Morag's descendant, and she looks just like her. Delilah goes to Scotland to research a castle that was reputed to be a haven for witches. Only she finds herself in the 1500's, twenty years after Morag was killed for being a witch. Gavin was torn up and confused as to how he felt about her. She thinks that she's the key to ending the curse, but Gavin isn't quite as convinced. To make matters worse, witch hunters show up at the castle. This has a really intense storyline, and the characters are very likeable. I love the whole series.

Delilah loves anything Scottland, but she loves anything Castle MacClaran most of all. Just so happens where all of the time placed women are going back to. I loved the first part of the book where it talked about this BOOK that was given to her by her mother but it was not part of the story when she time traveled. Wonder if it will come up in later books of the series?
I am enjoying this series. To be taken back like Delilah to a time and place she has read and studied all her life would be out of this world. Love how this book answers a lot of questions but it gave us new questions to think about. Well on to book 7. I love a man in a kilt. 🔥

The sixth woman dragged through time to the MacClaren Clan. Since Folklore was Delilah Cortland’s profession, she was no stranger to the customs of the time. But, viewed as a witch, her situation was suspicious and dangerous. Gavin was struggling with guilt and had not moved on showing himself sullen and uncooperative. I liked Dalilah’s character smart, skilled and with strength to accept his new life. Detailed, interesting and entertaining descriptions and narrations with action, suspense, violence, a bit of romance and passion, camaraderie, magic and the mystery of the curse kept me attentive to the clues most of the time. A good addition to the series and would like to see more of Baldric, he deserves it. Also, the end of the story seems promising.

This is the sixth book in this series. It mentions people and events from the earlier books but can be read as a stand alone story.
As with the other stories a woman (Delilah) is dragged back in time to the MacClaren castle. Delilah studied folklore and is interested in the past of this clan. She discovers there is a curse that has seen MacClaren women killed and then a woman who looks like them is sent back from the future. it's up to her to figure out how to reverse that curse

There is a little of everything in this story – action, suspense, mystery, betrayal and of course romance.
I have enjoyed each of the books I have read in this series.

Loved Delilah and Gavin. Imagine going back in time to 1500’s Scotland and meeting six more American women who have traveled from modern times to old Scotland. They have all been labelled as witches by the locals, but the people of Clan MacClaran have embraced them, taken them in as their own, and have been helped by them. Delilah is just the latest. But Delilah has no real skills. She is just an academic of folklore. But she just might be able to stop the curse that has plagued the MacClarans for years. I have read most all of the Scottish Time Travel series by Rebecca Preston, but each book has enough information about the previous books to allow each book to be read as a standalone. Delilah and Gavin's story was a solid addition to the series. Although I felt we know Delilah inside and out, I would have liked to know Gavin much better. The bulk of the story focuses on Delilah and her life, her angst, her thoughts, but very little on Gavin and that was disappointing. The book was well paced, had some expected drama, overall a good read.

I didn’t really get into time travel romance stories until I read one of Rebecca Preston’s books and now I’m addicted especially with the sexy Scots. Gavin lost the love of his life Morag when they were denied permission to get married when she was accused of being a witch so Morag cursed Gavin’s clan. Delilah goes to Scotland for research when she ends up going back through time, Gavin see’s Delilah she looks just like Morag he didn’t want anything to do with Delilah until her life is in danger. I loved this story it’s an amazing read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

This was an awesome book that I really enjoyed. The story and characters grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn't stop reading. I loved Gavin and Delilah and watching them grow together, they were well written and went well together. I found this book amazing with great word building making me feel apart of the story and watching it unfold in front of me. A definite must read for any fan and I can't wait to read more from this author!!!

Highlander Cursed is the sixth book in the Highlander of Time series a well written story with a very good storyline, the story flows smoothly from one page to the other. Delilah Cortland gets pulled back through time to the MacClaren Clan where she is viewed as a witch. When trouble comes for her Gavin MacClaren and other warriors come to her rescue along with another clan. I have only read some of these books I now want to go back and read them all. This sixth book in the Highlander of Time series is a very well-written time travel romance story with wonderful characters that are very cautious. There is a curse and witch-hunters that cause issues for these characters. This story has action, adventure, betrayal, twists/turns, chemistry and love with a HEA that must be worked for. These characters have wonderful personalities that are brought alive by this great Author who I will be reading more books by.

Great time travel with a strong heroine and a brooding highlander. Delilah is thrown back in time where she comes to believe in Magic. Her ancestor was the witch that cursed the clan and only she can set it right. Hopefully before Gavin drowns in guilt for causing the curse to be cast. Sixth in the series and I’ve enjoyed them all. Could work as a stand-alone but is much better to read them in order for a complete backstory. We also get to visit with friends from previous books. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).

Delilah la folclore y el guerrero Gavin consiguen que su amor sea por encima de la similitud con Morag, ya que ella es muy diferente a su tatara tarara tatarabuela como todas sus amigas del futuro. Consiguen defenderse de sus asesinos y encima unen más al clan con los ingleses. Y como no nuestro Bardick que se merece ser caballero por confiar tanto en las mujeres del futuro o brujas del Clan Maclaran. Delilah Cortland loved to travel and when her mother gave her a book of Celtic folklore witch is still her content companion throw the years and even took In into getting her degree in folklore and sword work as her hobby . Now is her biggest trip to castle macclaranin in Inverness Scotland that her family ancestry on her mother's side and the curse debts her back in time . What a Awesome story.

I am ready for the next book

I don't want to create a spoiler so I'll just say that I would like to read a continuation of this story. I won't write a synopsis since there are plenty already.

I wasn't sure what to expect with another of books after the beginning of the last book feeling redundant. I thought it might be predictable but fortunately it wasn't. Editing needs to be cleaned up. I offered no corrections this time as I wanted to just relax and enjoy the quick read.

Cursed into it

This series is interesting with a darkness that ever looms, love that binds and winds throughout, strong cursed men and the women who must dare to choose them. Pulled through time, facing real threats as witches in medieval Scotland, the modern intelligent and capable ladies use their wits and courage to face a future past daring. Their kilted warriors are well worth every effort it takes. Enjoyable reads that make you think…what if?

I really enjoyed this entertaining entry into this time travel series. There is plenty of tension, drama and emotional turmoil as Delilah and Gavin's story gets underway. The addition of danger, suspense, adventure, action and magic to the story line helps to grab and keep your attention. An excellent read. Of my own accord I am posting a forthright review.

Working through how she came back through time, Delilah is determined to figure out how she was transported. Gavin is no help, his silence about Morag, his witch love that was killed and is Delilah's ancestor.
This series just keeps getting better and better.

Another Preston rollicking Scottish Time book

This is the 6th book I have read and they keep getting better. Love the Time period and the strong characters in each. Having a new character that specializes in the Time period and the castle itself is Wonderful! Love Preston's character development and of course the sexy men involved!

I enjoyed reading this story! Starts with the present and you learn some about Delilah then you learn how she goes back in time. She meets the other women that have traveled back in time and this helps her adjust and how she meet Gavan. I was drawn into keep reading to find out what is happening how they deal with it and Love the ending. Look forward to reading the next book Highlander Avenged.

Great story!

Gavin was going to marry his love, Morag. She was put in the dungeon and stabbed to death by Kenneth, Gavin’s cousin. For twenty years Gavin felt bad about what happened. Along came her replica, Delilah. She appeared from the twenty first century. You have got to read this story because there is so much going on.

This is probably my favourite so far in this series which I love. Delilah is such a strong and independant character. I loved watching her adjust as best she could to a whole new era. Fantastic interaction with Baldric and such chemistry with Gavin…. This is a great read.

Sarah went back into the past where witches and magic lived. To save a clan she had no powers. The clan was cursed and witch hunters came. Sarah had friends that helped her escape from the witch hunters.

Great historical love story

I have enjoyed this book. I have put other books on hold to read these stories. Since they are on KU I guess I will read all of them. Gavin and Delilah were meant to be together.
