Sunset Val: Pirate Queen of the Seven Skies

Rate this book
Ever been kidnapped by a mad scientist through an interdimensional portal into a steampunk dystopia? Yeah, me too.

Call me Val, Sunset Val. I was just a normal teen when I got sucked into an alternate reality, one full of airships and monsters and pirates and slavery, a world-spanning evil empire, and a bunch of awesome women who eventually became my best friends.

Look, I'm genre-savvy enough to know it was up to someone to lead a revolution. Like you do.

So I did! And this is how it all started...

The book was EXTREMELY FUN to read (except perhaps chapters one and two, but the chapters are short and we know everything before the airship pirates appear doesn't really count Haha). I enjoyed the crazy geography, the action, the different races that live in this world. I was expecting pirates and steampunk, and I not only got that but also girl power, amazing twists and a vampire! It may not be a piece of writing that will get prizes for its prose, but I loved it.
