Con il settimo volume termina la raccolta Aria The Masterpiece, manga da cui è tratto uno dei miei anime preferiti (se non IL preferito). I volumi sono splendidi, di ottima qualità e con alcune pagine a colori. In ogni tavola traspare l'amore profondo che Kozue Amano prova per la città di Venezia, e il lettore non riesce ad esserne indifferente. Inoltre, con mia piacevole sorpresa, il manga presenta diverse storie che non sono state adattate nell'anime ed è inutile dire che le ho lette con pura avidità.
Difficile spiegare cosa è per me Aria. La prima volta che mi imbattei per puro caso nell'anime avevo circa 20 anni, e Venezia era già una delle città del mio cuore (amore che poi negli anni è divenuto più forte). Da subito rimasi stregata. Ma a conquistarmi definitivamente fu la scrittura di Amano, la capacità di aver creato un'opera di formazione e crescita senza però cadere nel banale. I pensieri e gli eventi che Akari e le altre vivono fanno parte dell'esistenza di ognuno di noi, del nostro crescere e, inevitabilmente, divenire adulti. Ma Amano li sa rappresentare con grande maestria e una rara sensibilità di cui pochi autori sono capaci.
E sì, alla fine dell'ultimo volume mi sono un po' commossa, ma forse si era già capito.
Vorrei poter dare cento stelle.

It strikes me as rather Japanese that a major character marries without our ever seeing the bridegroom or learning his name.

Перечитываю свои отзывы на все предыдущие книги, и понимаю, что была влюблена в эту серию с самого начала. Мне не составляло труда подбирать слова для этих заметок, потому что в каждой книге я находила что-то новое и интересное, и одновременно наслаждалась атмосферой расслабляющей повседневности. И вот серия закончилась. Что тут скажешь? Одни эмоции.
Касательно последних томов – я почему-то была уверена, что автор предпочтет полный возможностей финал, когда три подружки все еще работают в направлении карьерного роста, без резких всплесков и крутых поворотов. Но следовало ожидать от серии, пронизанной ностальгией по утекающему сквозь пальцы счастливому «сегодня», что оставаться на одном месте не получится, и герои будут двигаться вперед, храня память о совместно проведенных волшебных днях. И я не могу не восхищаться тем, как автору удалось дать proper closure некоторым темам (например, про пушистых хранителей Новой Венеции), и позволить героям сделать важный шаг в будущее. Причем никто не отменял тревогу, волнение и простой человеческий страх перед переменами, даже в лучшую сторону. Эти ребята стали уже как родные, а добавить еще ощущение стремительно приближающегося финала – стоит ли говорить, что последние главы читались сквозь слезы…
История, в которой за легкостью повествования прячется неподдельная радость и необъятная тоска, что сосуществуют в отдельно взятом счастливом мгновении, безвозвратно переходящем из настоящего в прошлое, а еще непоколебимая вера в прекрасное, что окружает нас в любое время в любом месте, стоит только оглядеться вокруг.

Je ressens à la fois de la joie et une pointe de tristesse en achevant cette magnifique saga. Pour moi, c’est un sans faute : chaque tome a été un coup de cœur, et celui-ci ne fait pas exception. Une fois encore, les ondines d’Aqua nous entraînent dans un voyage empreint d’amitié et de douceur. J’apprécie particulièrement cette atmosphère apaisante ainsi que la beauté des paysages. Je ne peux que recommander !!!

This ending was perfect. I typically find Aria like a sorbet to my life stresses. It is a refreshing pallet cleanser. I honestly could have read loads more volumes of this, but it has wrapped up beautifully.

This was such a great conclusion to a wonderfully cozy series. Each character gets closure and the theme of life always changes is presented with great effect in this volume. The art was great as always.

Piccola premessa: per motivi ignoti, ero convinta di avere tra le mani una serie con una sorta di ambientazione futuristica/fantascientifica, con una trama piena di azione. Ecco, diciamo che "Aria" non è proprio un manga action-packed, ma è più uno slice of life capace di trasmettere molta tranquillità. Quindi, zero adrenalina a fiumi. Ma forse è meglio così. Fine premessa inutile e non richiesta.
Questo ultimo volume mi è piaciuto molto. Un volume a tratti nostalgico: le ragazze, una alla volta, riusciranno a raggiungere il loro obiettivo - guadagnandosi anche dei muovi soprannomi, Orange Princess, Rosen Queen e Acquamarine - e ognuna si ritroverà super impegnata. Ergo, si apre una nuova fase nelle vite di Akari e compagnia - quei giorni pacifici, passati sempre insieme e pieni di ricordi felici, sono destinati a lasciare il passo a qualcosa di diverso. Ma il cambiamento non è per forza qualcosa di negativo. I ricordi rimangono, ma è importante fare sempre nuove esperienze. Akari, Alice e Akia diventano undine a tempo pieno; Alicia decide di accettare un ruolo più istituzionale (e si sposa, così de botto); Athena si dedica all'opera e Akira (grazie alla sua determinazione e al duro lavoro, pur senza talenti naturali particolari) continuerà ad essere una delle undine più richieste e amate. Le vite cambiano, i rapporti si evolvono e ogni giorno si costruiscono nuovi ricordi (non vedersi più tutti i giorni non significa per forza la fine dell'amicizia, ovviamente). E alla fine, assistiamo alla chiusura del cerchio quando Akari si trova ad accogliere una nuova apprendista. Insomma, non manca la nostalgia, però è stato bello seguire il percorso di crescita della protagonista e di tutti gli altri personaggi.
P.s.: ero curiosa di conoscere il destinatario delle email che Akari manda regolarmente nel corso dei sette volumi. Forse mi sono persa qualcosa io, ma sembra quasi una sorta di blog aperto a tutti 🤔 una sorta di diario in cui raccontare tutte le sue avventure sul nuovo pianeta (inizialmente pensavo stesse scrivendo a qualche amica/o o parente su Manhome).
P.s 2: so che questo non è un manga romance, però diciamo che non mancano dei piccoli accenni a questioni sentimentali - alla fine, Akia e Al sembrano più uniti che mai e mi sembra piuttosto evidente che, a dispetto delle sue parole, Akatsuki sia piuttosto interessato alla nostra Akari. È poco, ma il romance non era il focus della storia, e quindi ce lo facciamo andare bene.

This entire volume is perfect. Listing particular chapters would just be the table of contents. It's bittersweet, but beautiful. And all circling back to "I'm just a little happy." "C'est amusant comme les choses s'enclenchent... Chacun vit sa vie de son côté... Et pourtant, les évolution des uns se répercutent sur les autres, comme si nous étions les maillons d'une même chaîne... Comme si chaque instant était écrit depuis le début."

C'est ainsi que se clôture cette saga toute mignonne, j'ai même versé ma petite larme je m'y attendais pas ! Vraiment finir une saga à laquelle on s'est attaché c'est comme dire au revoir à des ami.e.s, voir même des membres de notre famille 😭
Je m'attendais à la fin mais pas de cette manière, vraiment il y a juste ce qu'il fallait de tomes et ça a eu exactement la fin que ça méritait !
Cœur sur tous les personnages qui ont chacun.e apporté leur petite touche à l'histoire et qui ont su en faire une aventure dont on n'a pas envie de sortir

Allora cosa dire di Aria The Masterpiece... Tante, tante cose! Prima di tutto che è diventato il mio comfort manga, perché ha troppi messaggi positivi e ogni pagina è un inno alla vita, che te la fa amare un po' di più, anche nei momenti dolorosi che vorremmo assolutamente dimenticare.
Qui si conclude la storia di Akari, Aika, Alice, Alicia, Akira, Athena, Akatsuki, Al, Woody e tutti i meravigliosi personaggi come i gatti presidenti e il Re dei gatti, Black Saith. Avete fatto caso che quasi tutti i personaggi hanno la A come iniziale del nome?
Non voglio dire altro sulla storia perché non voglio fare spoiler, quindi mi limiterò a fare i complimenti a Kozue Amano per la prospettiva, veramente pazzesca! Ho amato ogni singola tavola di questa serie!
Spero che la Star Comics faccia una nuova edizione anche di Aqua, il prequel.

Consiglio a tutti di dare una possibilità a questa piccola perla, soprattutto se cercate una storia delicata e toccante.
All’inizio mi hanno attirata i disegni e i colori, ma è stata la storia a coinvolgermi davvero. È una narrazione semplice; si parla di amicizia, crescita personale e della bellezza nascosta nelle piccole cose e nella vita quotidiana.
Akari, la protagonista, ci insegna a guardare il mondo con più serenità e a vivere nel presente, perché “Riuscire a pensare che il presente è un tempo felice, è il modo migliore per poterselo godere.”
Ogni volume è stato un viaggio e ogni storia mi ha suscitato delle emozioni, felici o tristi che siano. Non nego di essermi commossa più volte.
È un manga che lascia il segno e sono sicura che lo rileggerò spesso in futuro per riprovare certe emozioni.

Как можно не полюбить эту историю и всех её персонажей?
Директор/президент Ария - любимый 'ненастоящий' кот.
Акари, её умение находить радость во всем, её отношение к переменам вызывают тёплые чувства. Всем надо быть как Акари, но это утопия.
Обожаю главы с Кат Ши - они невероятно атмосферные. Прослезилась в конце, когда выяснилось, что все это время Акари писала именно ему. В аниме она общалась с Ай-чан, считаю, что лучше бы оставили версию из манги.
Единственно, глава про кукол была какая-то непонятная и неинтересная.
У серии нет недостатков и искать их не хочется.
Определённо буду возвращаться к Арии.

picked up the first volume of this series back at a borders (!) somewhere between 2005 and 2007. inclined to say 2005. and after losing track of it, reuniting, and choosing to savor it slowly, I finally finished the last volume.
my first introduction to the slice-of-life genre and a masterclass at it. I'm destined to revisit it for the full duration of things. would love to an Aria tour of venice at some point.
I think ending something that has meant so much for so long would be harder if this were a series about the plot. but vibes are eternal and simply do not get diminished on a revisit. (also, I have an anime and artbook to check out too)

As usual, a lovely story with absolutely gorgeous art. This one had a heavy dose of nostalgia and sadness, which the sadness was overdone in my opinion. They are all still on Aqua and all still close, so it's just the time issues.
That being said, it does not take away from the sheer joy this series is. I would love to see more of Ai as well, if there would be a follow up series to this. Overall, I highly recommend this as a soothing, relaxing read.

Every new volume has been my ultimate "lazy Sunday" read, just a relaxing and life-affirming collection of little beauties. This final volume did everything the past books did, with some reflections on change and the progression of life. The perfect end to one of my favorite manga.

Alas, all good things must come to an end. This was a fabulous and relaxing series, with a full range of emotions and depth. A truly lovely slice of life series. I’ll miss it dearly.

So sad that it's over! I thought I had at least two more volumes to look forward to.
