Read on the book to know more. The book ends on an inspiring note, where you are definitely going to analyze your life and relationships.
Writing style:
The narration is captivating, and writing is lucid, one hardly need two to three days to complete the book.
My perception:
This book went beyond my expectations. By the story of Chetna, the authoress has depicted the condition of every woman who is bound to the duty of their family. Sam’s character is vibrant and jolly. The authoress described each and every moment with utmost clarity, which conveys the essence. With the story of Chetna and Sam, the authoress has narrated four different stories which are the characters which we see every day in life but never pay much attention. This book is inspiring, interesting, amusing and worth reading. If you are looking for a comfort book to accompany your cup of coffee at the weekend, then here it is!
Book Title: When Least Expected Author: Jisha Rajesh Format: Kindle
Book Title: The title of the book ' When Least Expected ' is interesting and evolving.
Book Cover: The cover image of the book is of a couple sitting on the banks facing an ocean.
About the author: Jisha Rajesh is a wonderful writer and her stories are always alluring to read. Every story is set up in a varied background and there is an underlying message that always drives the story.
About the book: To overcome the trauma of being deceived by her husband and disregarded by her daughter, Chetana decides to take a break from her turbulent life. Even though her trip to Goa was meant to spend some time with herself, destiny had some other plans for her. She befriends Sam who rekindles her belief in love, faith, and hope through his hilarious stories. And then, he vanishes from her life all of a sudden, leaving her dazed. His disappearance makes her ponder whether Sam was for real or imagination of her agonized mind. Chetana sets out to find the truth.
My review: The story starts with a rampage of the relationship between Chetana and her teenage daughter Richa. A woman living in today's generation but is planted with old family values and traditions that date back to the previous generation, Chetana finds herself in the crossroads of a turbulent life. Anant, Chetana's husband is a nice man but there is a thread of gap between them. Out of nowhere she starts doubting his integrity and decides to end her life. Then comes her friend Eliza who makes her understand what is she missing in her life.
Eliza compels Chetana to go on a solo trip to Goa for a week, travel around and come back. This travel changes Chetana's life for good forever. What is the miracle that happened which brought such a big change in her life? read the story to know.
What I like: After a long time, I have come across a book that pays attention to reading comfort. The indentation of the paragraphs, the perfect punctuation, and clear narration made the story an interesting one.
I also like the social messages that the story has in it and an attempt to showcase the 21st generation views. The book is also a fantastic platter of emotions, inclusive of themes like family, married couples, mother and daughter relationship, unconditional love, love towards nature, social responsibility, moral values, office duty, and its takeaways, being independent, etc.
What I didn't like: At a few places I felt some conversations may have been shortened. If readers are not familiar with a particular community's traditions, those may find the story off the pace. For example, Chetana's wedding.
Characters: All the characters are appealing and have depth at some point while the story progresses. They seem to be very one-dimensional especially when it comes to separating the good from the bad. But as the story progresses, they evolve. There are so much simplicity and beauty that makes the characters very realistic.
Narration: With a good story that is hard to guess what happens next though the reader will have a sense, author Jisha takes her readers into a complete fiction where one has to engross into the story. The narration of every scene and sequence in the story is well-formed that though there are many characters nowhere there is an overlap.
Language & Grammar: Simple and casual language is used in the story with some rich vocabulary in some places.
My Final Verdict: A beautiful journey that transformed many lives!

A trip always rejuvenates and takes a special place in our hearts, no matter if its a chaotic city or a serene beach or the countryside mountain. This is the story of Chetana, who, in order to overcome the trauma prevailing in her life, goes out for a trip to Goa when her friend Eliza compels her to. Little did she know, miracle would follow her here too. Now, what is the miracle, to know you must the book. But, why should you read any random book just because I am recommending it? Wait, I justifying 'why' .
What I liked about this book -
First and foremost thing, the language, it's quite simple and easy to understand, no matter what age you belong to. Then comes the narration, though it has some exaggerated conversations, but yeah, it's vivid and wouldn't ever let you predict what's coming up next be it a twist or a smooth ride. Coming to that characters, though they did move forward with time, but they were real. Moreover than anything, book is perfectly garnished with emotions which felt so real.
