Alone in a fantastical world, Yota continues forging friendships with the girls who defend the village of Meese. When a strange God reveals to him that the planet’s female inhabitants are cursed to die young, Yota learns he has two options: either sleep with every girl who bears the curse or kill the God who cursed them!
Lynn Okamoto (岡本倫 Okamoto Rin) is a Japanese manga artist and a former employee of Bandai. His most famous work is the series Elfen Lied, which was adapted into a 13-episode anime series by the studio Arms. He lives in Tokyo, Japan.
On the surface, Parallel Paradise appears to be a standard isekai harem manga with the ecchi raised up to several notches, but this series is actually subverting the common tropes of the genre.
For example, the overpowered protagonist, which is a staple of most isekai stories. The main character is a just a regular guy, albeit trained in martial arts. The girls, especially those of the Quintet, are still better fighters than Yota, our male lead. Even his arousing touch is a product of the environment, rather than a personal ability.
The main draw is still the mystery of why Yota was transmigrated to a world without men, and the plot is moving in that direction.
