Melody is a New York Times bestselling romance author and screenwriter. You may already know her writing from ‘Bridgerton’ on Netflix, and the romcom movie ‘Jingle Bell Heist’... Now, she's launching a ‘Gilmore Girls meets Beach Read’ small-town/cozy spice romance, ‘The Book Lover’s Beach House’ - coming June 9th!
Leticia is on a mission, she wants to find her future husband and fulfil her dream of settling down into a loving relationship and starting a family. She is quite specific about the type of man she wants, in fact she has a list to guide her through her decision making process. She has set the scene by renting a holiday home at Sweet Briar Cove and hopes that a summer romance will soon follow with the single guys she hopes to meet.
When an airstream parks up beside her rental, Leticia is surprised to see Chase Kinsella stepping out the door. Their paths have crossed briefly and once he realises Leticia is going to be staying for summer he settles in for longer than he planned to. His sister is good friends with Leticia and he is aware of her mission to find the perfect man, in fact he finds it really entertaining.
As Leticia navigates the world of dating, Chase always seems to be somewhere in the background offering his advice or opinions on each guy. Sometimes helpful but mostly annoying. He is the complete opposite of what she is looking for but damn if he doesn’t make her feel all hot and flustered with his surfer boy charm.
Chase believes in a good life balance between work and play and prefers to live in the moment. Working for himself offers him the freedom to live anywhere and means he can surf as much as he wants to. While he admires Leticia’s desire to work hard in her family business he thinks she spends too much time trying to impress her father and needs to learn to chill a bit more.
When things turn hot and steamy between Leticia and Chase she knows she is likely setting herself up for heartbreak. The chemistry between them is crazy but he is not really her type, well that is what she keeps telling herself. What she is slowly finding out is just how sweet and thoughtful Chase is. Maybe the most unlikely man she has met so far could be the one?
Chase has no interest in a long term relationship and he has made that clear since they first met. Leticia has definitely stirred up long buried feelings in him but are they enough to make him change his stance on committing to someone for life?
This story had the perfect elements for a sweet romance - a beachside holiday spot, the beginning of summer holidays and a simmering attraction that proved hard to resist!
One More Night is the 13th story in the Sweetbriar Cove Series and it follows the story of Chase and Leticia. Leticia has one thing on her mind: finding Mr. Perfect. A trip to Sweetbriar Cove might just be what the doctor ordered. Leticia finds herself renting a house for the summer and hopes this trip will make her dreams come true. However, finding the perfect match is a lot harder than it seems. Leticia has the worst luck when it comes to men and her dates have all turned into disasters. It all seems hopeless until Chase enters the picture. Chase is the exact opposite of what Leticia is looking for, but there’s just something about him that gets Leticia’s engines reeving. Can opposites attract and put this unlikely pair together? There’s only one way to find out….
One More Night was a quick and easy read for me. I easily finished it in a single sitting. I thought the plot was a lot of fun and couldn’t help but root for Leticia to find her match. This poor girl had the worst luck when it came to men, and I think that made her really easy to relate to. Leticia wants it all and isn’t afraid to go after it. And then we have Chase. Chase likes to take life one day at a time. He doesn’t make plans and he doesn’t play by the rules. He is 100% no strings attached. Leticia and Chase couldn’t be more opposite, but the chemistry between them was undeniable. Leticia and Chase both wanted different things and no matter how hard they tried, they couldn’t stay away from one another. I loved the push and pull and couldn’t wait to see how their story would come together in the end.
Melody Grace does not disappoint in the 13th installment of the Sweetbriar Cove Series. One More Night is the ultimate beach read. It has the perfect blend of sweet and sexy. Chase and Leticia pull you into their story and leave you wanting more. For those of you that like a little drama with their sweet, this book definitely delivers that. One More Night has all the perfect elements for one enjoyable read. I had a fun time getting swept up in One More Night and I look forward to seeing where Sweetbriar Cove will take us next!
*I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*
I really liked Letitia and Chase. A lot, I liked them as a couple and I believed in their chemistry and attraction to one another, especially as you got to watch it grow between them while they were each convinced the other was not right for them.
I loved going on the bad dates with her, and being along for the ride as she slowly realized that the reason the dates were awful was partly the men she was picking (they weren't all great, one was) and partly the fact that she had already found the man she really wanted.
So, all of this worked for me to believe in them having a happily for now ending, in them working until the other wanted more/too much. But, this book was billed as a happily ever after, and there was too much left open for me to believe in them for the long term. There were pieces in place to make me think this may eventually go there, but it wasn't fully formed.
I found myself wanting to read the next book in the series to see if these characters are mentioned as being together or not. And, well, unless the book is a cliffhanger, it's hard to not see this as a reason to say the book didn't quite reach the HEA ending that I prefer and was expecting.
I enjoyed and recommend this title as a happily for now, opposites attract, summer romance.
The only thing missing in Leticia’s life is a man to spend it with along with a family that they will build together. She has plans for the future she wants and the man who will play the starring role but finding him is proving to be more difficult than she thought especially as she is not sure if Chase if more of a hindrance than a help.
Chase is a man who views every day as an adventure and the way to enjoy his life is to be carefree and roll with whatever life throws at him. He may be attracted to Leticia, but he also knows that he is not the man for her, but he will certainly help her find the man who is.
When the sparks fly between them they may realize that the only thing that truly matters is how they feel about each other and that love has a way of creating the perfect balance. This is a heartwarming story about love, family and what truly matters in life.
You know how sometimes you just want an uncomplicated, sweet, breezy, FUN romance? The Sweetbriar Cove series is just what you are looking for. One More Night is absolute perfection for lounging by the pool, sitting on the porch swing, sunk in the sand at the beach, sitting on a hay bale in the hot summer sun, or anywhere else you can imagine. Think about the books that have made millions fall in love with romance novels over the centuries - and that is what you are getting here!!
I'm not going to go in to details here, but if you want a funny, sexy, sweet story, this is the one to grab today. Lovable characters, some inevitable highjinks, and love that you find yourself rooting for are what you are going to get here. No dark themes, trigger warnings, or cheating with Letitia and Chase, a Happily Ever After you will swoon over, and a story that will made you want to move to, or at least visit, Sweetbriar Cove! It is truly the home of feel-good summer romance!
I learned rather early on that when it comes to having the opportunity to spend some time with the characters in Sweetbriar Cove, it is not a chance you turn down, so when this the latest in the series hit my kindle I was eager to dive straight in. This installment is all about Chase and Leticia, and initially, I wasn’t exactly sure that Leticia was actually the sort of character that I was going to take too – there was just something about her desperation to find her perfect man that I found a little disconcerting but if there is one thing that the author does extremely well it the fact that she develops characters and by the time Leticia was in Sweetbriar Cove and settling in I was beginning to warm to her somewhat…it didn’t take her long to get to grips with the fact that finding Mr Right was going to take some serious effort, although after some of the dates she had been on I think I might have just thrown in the towel! But just as fate would have it when Chase entered the fray, they couldn’t have been further apart, he was everything she didn’t want in a partner but darn it he was absolutely everything she needed. The pair of them had a lot on their plates but I couldn’t help but root for the fact that when it came to their love life that they might just be pulling in the same direction. I liked Leticia’s resolve; she was optimistic if nothing else, desperate to navigate the path that her heart had set for her. Chase was a fabulous character for me, he was so laid back, taking each day as it comes and living by his own rules so to speak, I loved his spontaneity, the free spirit that he brought to the page and the authors' descriptive tones really brought him to life, as the story progressed, I had no trouble at all painting a picture of him in my mind. There was just enough angst and attitude peppered throughout the story to keep me totally captivated – and I have to admit that I read the whole book in just one sitting. This was an enjoyable, nippy read, perfect holiday reading material.
13 books in and the Sweetbriar Cove Series is as sweet as ever. The couples and their stories are unique and I am amazed at how completely different they all have been. You don't have to had read any of the others to enjoy the series and you can dip in and out at different places - I have and it hasn't stopped my enjoyment!
"if you'd only let go of that picture-perfect image of how you think things are supposed to be"
I fell in love with Letitia she reminds me of myself although I was slightly younger than 31 when I set my mind to finding the perfect man; settling down and having the perfect family and children. But as most of us known life doesn't always work out the way we plan in our heads. And the same is about to happen to Letitia she is coming back Sweetbriar to hopefully meet the man of her dreams - well everyone else seems to have managed it - so there must be something in the water right? What Letitia wasn't expecting was surf bum Chase - lives in a camper van; works when he wants doesn't have a care in the world — he sure doesn't want to settle down.
Join Letitia and Chase when these two completely different worlds collide and what you thought you wanted might not be what you wanted at all!
I have already pre-ordered book 14 in the series Time After Time as this one is set to be one you also wouldn't want to miss. Watch out when Chases brother - Up tight workaholic Aidan reconnects with Stella who he hasn't seen since high school!
Inspired by Sweetbriar Cove and the fact that love is in the air in the town, Letitia decides to spend the summer there with the aim of finding her perfect man. However, she keeps crossing paths with Chase, who is the complete opposite of what she is looking for but, boy, he can kiss. Chase is laid back, appears to be a beach bum, womaniser who just goes with the flow.
It is is difficult for Letitia to find the perfect man as Chase pushes her buttons and her viewpoint on what the perfect man should be. But also it is difficult because she is not really sure who she is and what she wants. She has spent her life trying to get the attention of her parents' and to get her father to take her seriously in business. He wants the perfect son to take over and no matter how much and how hard she words, he doesn't take her seriously and defers to the men in the company over her. Whilst she is trying to get their attention, she loses sight a little of who is and what she actually wants.
Chase is an example of balancing work and home life perfectly. Successful, yet not over working to get there. He is able to bring a sense of balance to her life. You can still be ambitious and achieve your goals without having to compromise who you are in the process.
Together these two make sense, even though they are opposites. The chemistry between them is instantaneous and the attempts by Letitia to date anyone other than Chase brought some humour to the book.
I love visiting Sweetbriar Cove and the magic it brings to the characters who grace it. A sweet and endearing read.
4.5 Star review of One More Night (Sweetbriar Cove #13) by Melody Grace
Melody Grace is a relatively new author to me as I have only read a couple of this authors books. I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet and romantic story about Letitia Prescott and Chase Kinsella. Although book thirteen in the series, it can be read as a stand alone.
I love small town romances and this one ticked the boxes for me as I became invested in Letitia and Chase’s story. The writing was strong and descriptive and I found myself easily visualizing Cape Cod whilst reading.
Both Letitia and Chase were easy to like. I particularly liked that Letitia had a plan to find her perfect match and that Chase blew her plans out of the water as he tried to help her search for the man who would be her forever guy.
The banter and friendship between them was funny and heartwarming. The only problem for both Letitia and Chase is that no mater how hard they try, no one can come close to the chemistry that sizzles between them when they are together.
Will these two take their heads out of the sand long enough to realize that what they could have together might just be magic? One click and find out.
It is so nice to be back in Sweetbriar Cove for book 13 in this series, bringing the gang back together and feeling part of the community.
Letitia Prescott is a woman with a mission to find a Husband, she has a list of requirements of what he should be like, but in the back of her mind she remembers the kiss she had months before with Chase.
Chase Kinsella is the nomad of the Kinsella family, never stops in the same place for very long, he goes where the surf is, doesn't want to settle down with one woman or in one place, but could Letitia be the one?
When Chase offers to play wingman to Letitia to find her perfect match he realises that he is jealous of every man she dates. There is a spark between them from the start and Letitia finds she is comparing every man to Chase without realising it.
Follow their story of their ups and downs, will they get together?
An easy 5 stars for this book, looking forward to Aiden and Stella's story next, congratulations Melody on another brilliant book!
I started the Sweetbriar Cove series a bit later in the series but am loving them so far and am excited to go back and read the rest! In One More Night by Melody Grace, we have an opposite attracts romance with all the best feels.
Letitia is ready to find her match . She is looking for a successful and mature man. To do this, she decides to spend the summer in Sweetbriar Cove. When she meets up with Chase, he is not what she is looking for, but maybe he could be the perfect wingman, right? The problem? Chase makes her feel things she should not be. He is sexy and charming, but not the man she was looking for. Chase is an easy-going guy and is definitely not looking for a relationship, but there is something about Letitia. But if he helps her find a husband, he can move on right?
As time goes on, they cannot deny the chemistry they share, but they are not right for each other. But sometimes life throws you curveballs! One More Night by Melody Grace was a sweet and charming read!
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog. Happy reading!
I always get excited when I know I’m going to be visiting Sweetbriar Cove because it feels like I’m going home to catch up with family and friends and One More Night was everything I have come to expect from Ms Grace. If small town romance is your thing then you will want to have this book on your TBR list, it can certainly be read as a stand-alone although I’m sure once you meet Letitia and Chase you will want more from the residents of the Cove. Letitia is on a mission to find her perfect match problem is every man she meets Chase proves then to be totally unsuitable, could it be he wants more than just friendship and what will it take for this couple to see what’s right in front of their eyes.... I loved the friendship and the banter this couple share, I love the story and I love all the characters from Sweetbriar Cove and I’m sure if you one click you will too. Great read and I’m looking forward to my next visit.
The book is a good feeling romance between Letitia Prescott, a woman trying to find her soulmate, in the small town of Sweetwater Cove, during her summer vacation. Being last one of her friends that isn’t married, she on a definite mission to find him. Letitia scopes out all the eligible bachelors but her heart is lost on Chase Kinsella, who is nothing like she is looking for. Letitia has tried to please her father for several years with hopes to take over the Prescott business. Unfortunately, she is a “daughter” and not a”son”. This is a very emotional book about family configurations, work obligations, past relationships that are hindering the future, and finding your “true self”. Beautifully written and one book to read any time of the year! Loved Chase, his crazy family, and especially, Letitia.
One More Night is book 13 in Melody Grace’s unforgettable Sweetbriar Cove series. I am a huge fan of small town romance, whether it be books or movies, and Ms. Grace continues to wow me with her stories and characters. Though Chase and Letitia envision very different paths for their lives, neither of them can ignore the the unexpected connection they share. But as they navigate through the bumpy road before of them, will they let their love go or can they recognize what they share is worth fighting for?
The Sweetbriar Cove series is one of my most favorite of all that I have ever read, and One More Night is a fantastic and memorable addition. As always, the world Melody Grace has created always makes me feel like I’m returning home to visit friends and family and Chase and Letitia are newest friends to add to my list.
Wow, as always Melody's words bring you all the feels!! 5 stars for this one! Here we meet Letitia, she's ready to tackle finding herself a husband. She's rented a house for the summer in Sweetbriar Cove, where everyone seems to find their happy ever afters, so now it's her turn. But when a camper pulls in, and Chase gets out, she recognizes him, and he starts playing loud music, all visions of her peaceful summer searching for Mr Right are out the window. Chase is enjoying his life, carefree, surfing, yet still making a living designing web sites for people. When he see's his gorgeous neighbor, he remembers her, and her mission to find the right guy. Follow along as these two try to remain friends, and he tries to help her find her happy ever after guy! Enjoy their story!
Letitia is looking for her forever man, so she ends up in Sweetbriar Cove because she believes she will find the man of her dreams there. She's got a specific list of what she wants in her perfect man, but fate has different plans for her. She wants a successful, mature man, but she comes across Chase, a dude who lives life by the seat of his pants, and yet, they have some pretty intense chemistry that won't be denied for too long. However, will Letitia finally accept that maybe just maybe fate knows what it's doing?! This story was sweet with heat, and I seriously want to go to Sweetbriar Cove in real life. Hit those one click buttons to learn how this all plays out! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Melody Grace has done it again. This is a beautifully written romance between Tish and Chase. She is on the prowl for a husband that meets her list and Chase is the wold and free surfer who annoys her. With all the things that can go wrong and right on her journey, Tish still can not get that kiss offer mind while Chase was floored by the feelings 1 kiss gave him but is he strong enough to deny the connection or will he be brave enough to confront his past and overcome it to stay with Tish. The sub-plot in this story was interesting as well. Who will win? Will her parents and especially her Dad win and destroy her confidence?
I was disappointed with this book. Melody Grace drew me into her series with great storylines and interlocking the books with other books in the series. This story lack the meat to the characters as well as fizzled out love scenes that used to be scorching hot. I had to go back and read a previous book, “Unrequited” to see if I was wrong abut the love scenes. The previous book heated up from ember sparks to a raging fire. This book I would allow my mom to read, not her earlier books. I typically consider Melody Grace’s books all 5 star reads that I would order because she is the author , but anymore.
4.5 Stars I really enjoyed this book. I couldn't put it down. I loved Letitia and Chase. Their banter was one of my favorite parts of the book. I mean I love the Kinsellas so I couldn't wait for Chase's book. You know what they say about best laid plans. Letitia's search for a husband is not going as planned. I laughed a lot with those scenes. I loved watching Chase and Letitia find a connection they never saw coming. This book has plenty of heart and feels, but the right amount of humor. It's a book that's going to hook you right to the last page. I loved the teaser for the next book. I can't wait!
One More Night by Melody Grace is book 13 in her Sweetbriar Cove Series and can be read as as stand - alone. Meet Letitia Prescott - she was already introduced in No Ordinary Love -, and she's looking for Mr. Right. She's in town to help plan the wedding of Cal and Eliza. And then there's Chase Kinsella, a floater with no plans. They become neighbors and their attraction is pretty high. But they simply don't fit. One More Night is a witty and fun read, a sweet story of taking a chance at love.

Freaking loved every page of Chase and Leticia's story! Flawlessly written and heartfelt. There were several laugh out loud moments while reading their story.
I loved Leticia and Chases story. They were parts that are quite humorous. I love the instant attraction but what made it a better read with them fighting each other off. Leticia‘s determination to find herself her husband was quite impressive. I thought it was a great storyline and it was well written and they fit perfectly into Sweetbriar Cove series. I love this Author and I can’t wait for more from her
This is the thirteenth book in this series by this author but it can be read as a stand alone read. Once again this author brings you a funny heartwarming story. This story follows the characters Letita and Chase, who you will fall in love with as you read. This is a sweet funny heartwarming story with some added sizzle to heat the pages up.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
One More Love follows the quest for love by Chase and Leticia. While the stories on this series are pretty formulaic, you can’t help but get sucked into the personal journey of these characters and become invested in their stories. The author makes you really care about them and want to see tons through. One more Kinsella brother left to find good soul mate in the next book in the series. Looking forward to Jo’s journey next.
2.5 stars I think I have read too many books by Melody Grace in just 2 months. I have read 5 or 6 of them. Therefore, I felt this book was too cliché and it was longer than it should. I lost interest to read it, but I finished it because I had liked other books by her.
"I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book."

This book will leave you uplifted and wanting more‼️I absolutely love this author and this series!
Chase is the laid back playboy with commitment issues. Letitia is in Sweetbriar Cove for one reason and that’s to find a husband. These two couldn’t be any more different but fit together so easily. I loved this book. It was a great easy read.
One More Night BRINGS YOU BACK TO THE Sweetbriar Cove and what a [;ace it is. Once you start reading the book you fall in love with it and the characters.
