We had several books by Joy Wilt Berry including most of the "Survival books" when I was growing up that my mother had passed on to me. I highly recommend this author for books for young children. She approaches the topic in a straight forward manner explaining the words and concepts and then giving concrete instructions on what to do. Right now we are reading some of the books aimed at younger children and my son picks them out on his own at story time.

A rich and relevant book about using various daily resources in a sustainable way. Even though the book was written a while ago it is still relevant in teaching young readers about using resources, conservation and the impact of wasting them such as not having them in the future. Illustrations and the talking cat comical and useful in stressing the lessons.

As usual, loved the illustrations and comic-like style of this book. However, most of the text was just telling kids "You need _____ (clothes, food, etc.). Don't waste it." which isn't a very creative way of teaching kids lessons.

Young children are not aware that they need to watch what they use and not be wasteful and A Children's Book About Being Wasteful is an excellent resource for both teachers and parents to start a discussion to help children see the concept of conservation of resources. It explains what Being Wasteful is and gives common examples that children are familiar with in everyday life to teach the concept. When I read it to young children in my preschool rooms or my grandchildren I use it to start a discussion on how they can save resources and not be wasteful.

This is a book I have owned for many years and used with children.

Such a great book for kids and adults to read together!! Joy Berry has a wonderful way of bringing things to a kids level to help them understand things better. Sometimes as an adult we forget kids see and process the world differently than us.

Beautifully illustrated to help kids pay attention while learning valuable life lessons!

This series is wonderful for any home or classroom! I want them for he community center where I work!! I am also thrilled they are being made available as ebooks!!

This is an entertaining book in the Help Me Be Good series that teaches children about ethical and moral themes.

I thought that this was an engaging story about conserving resources and not being wasteful. The narrative is short and easy to read aloud and the illustrations are colorful and cartoonish, if a bit dated.
