Her first novel, Mindplayers, introduced what became a common theme to all her works. Her stories blurred the line between reality and perception by making the human mind a real and explorable place. Her second novel, Synners, expanded upon the same theme, and featured a future where direct access to the mind via technology was in fact possible.
She has won a number of awards, including the prestigious Arthur C. Clarke Award twice,in 1992, and 1995 for her novels Synners and Fools.
She currently lives in London, England with her family.

Not really my thing. Not a bad book. It is a fast paced heck of a wild ride involving a kidnap victim who hangs on to communication to the outside world through her cell phone(while her cell is running low on power.) Can she be saved?
SPOILERS:
There is nothing wrong with the book but I have read one to many stories like this to be really into it. I also read it on vacation..that is the best time to read these sorts of novels..when one wants something where you do not have to think to hard.
All kinds of strange things happen with the cell phone. One thing I learned..there are sure alot of ways to keep a cell phone from running out of power.
Read it if you want something fast paced and quick.
