Disclosure: The author is an associate of mine, through The Geekiverse.

That said, I love thumbing through this book and learning of haunted spots and the lore of local hauntings, some of which I have heard about (Goodleberg Cemetery) and some I have not. There should be a book like this for every region in America, honestly.

I really liked this book. It turned out to be exactly what I needed. It also confirmed my feelings on a lot of my favorite places. It has almost every places you can think of. Keyword tho is almost. There were a few stories in this book that were less then a page, had no real ghost tales, and just said this place maybe be haunted. This made me scratch my head because this book leaves out one of the most haunted places, the Buffalo Psych Center/Hotel Henry, tho it mentions it a lot! This book is very current with prices and things being closed and reopened which is helpful. I feel like the closing of Hotel Henry wouldn't have made it be taken out?
Besides this I really enjoyed this book. I have a huge list of places I now need to check out. It's also a great tour guide for history of the city as well as where to get good food!

I really appreciate the inclusion of “open to the public” and “handicap accessible” notes in the entries!
I felt like more information could have been given but that’s for a different book and I recognize that. I can get all the nitty gritty details other places, it’s nice to have an overview of the area. :)
