* A wonderful short story of two older cowboys at Christmas.

There's a big snow storm happening and Jeremiah needs to get something special for his buddy's Christmas. Charles is at the cabin with an injured leg.

After getting the items he wants, he heads out. The trip on his old draft horse is a tough one, with bitter cold, icy winds and blinding snow. Charles can feel something is amiss.

A marvelous, warm-hearted tale of steady friendship, and lasting passion.
ENJOY !

Just a sweet and simple story of the love between two men from a bygone era. How two oranges and peppermints mean so much when you don't have much. Loved it!

I read this in Stocking Stuffers 2 but it says it’s a BA Tortuga book so this must be another of their author names.

I found the first chapter really hard to read, structurally. So much so that I thought I would have to give up. Then in the second chapter everything fell into place. I connected with the rhythm of the language and the simple story being told: harsh times with hard men in an unforgiving landscape. And yet their love simply shines through.
