This book consisted of a bunch of short stories. Some of them were pretty brutal and others was not so much. I did enjoy some of these, and others I wasn’t so sure about. Some were a bit too short for me to even understand what it was about. It was a fun book to read though.

Good, yet disturbing
Whew. Not sure where to rank this book honestly. Very dark. Very gory, which I love. But, I really dislike stories involving horrible acts being done to children. The author has talent in story telling. I would be interesting in reading more by him unless it also centers around child abuse/rape/murder. (Lots of grammatical errors).

Dark, disturbing, and graphic as hell...just what I like! Absolutely loved this collection! Just be warned, Matt doesn’t go easy on the horror, but it is HORROR, after all. Definitely recommend this one for the hardcore, psycho, and dark fiction fan.

"Darkness Calling" is an incredible journey into suspense and horror. As the wife of the author, I've seen the passion and dedication that went into every page of this book. The story is gripping and filled with unexpected twists that kept me hooked from start to finish.
The characters are so well-developed, each with their own unique backgrounds that draw you into their world. The eerie atmosphere and vivid descriptions made me feel like I was right there with them, experiencing every chilling moment.
This book is not just a great read; it's a testament to my husband's talent and hard work. If you love a good scare and a story that keeps you guessing, "Darkness Calling" is a must-read. I'm so proud of what he's accomplished, and I know you'll love it too!
