A low-key but enjoyable book of court intrigue and etiquette, as the hero tries to extract secrets from a visiting prince and princess who are as inept at diplomacy as he is.
Zinjaro, you gave away a few secrets that were valuable! You big dummy! Ah well, as Prince Francesco & Princess Bona both also gave up secrets very important to the Twin Kingdoms, I guess things are even. On another front, the infant prince, he got sick soon after the envoy from the Twin Kingdoms arrived. Then Francesco asked to be brought into the secure inner palace, offering to heal the baby. He would only help if he could personally see the infant heir to Capua's throne. I am rather suspect. Too many coincidences. Was that REALLY a healing stone that Prince Francesco used? Or was there some other spell attached to the stone, or the incantation? Very, very sus, if you ask me. I don't trust the royals from the Twin Kingdoms, & neither should Aura or Zenjiro. Something is going on behind the scenes. Overall, I am really enjoying this series. The artist is amazing, they illustrates the women so incredibly beautiful. I'd sure like to hook up with a gal like Queen Auru. That woman is stacked! I mean, wowzer, what a bod! I'm looking forward to the next volume. However, that shall have to wait until tomorrow, as it's after midnight & I have church in the morning. So, you all should see me after the next volume. Unless I see any of you first, LOL.
Some pepole think game of thrones is fantasy with politics, NO GoT is Fantasy with cool fun politics, there plans and backstaping and assassinations things like that.
The Ideal Sponger Life have the REALISTIC BORING DOWN TO EARTH politics, things that no one will think of putting it in any other book or show but it here, things like The Main character goting a gift which is a Bow, that a problem that will take full chapter, The Main character don't want to have another woman beside his wife that a problem for his wife the queen! oh the Main character have some marbles you know the one kids play with, that a BIG PLOT POINT not only that but it return later because marbles are a miracle for a world like this.
It is realistic politics is the sense real life politics all about how to do nothing or make sure nothing happened, there things that remind me of real life politics I saw in TV a lot this days.
I love this series a lot but I know it will be a drag for so many other readers, realistic politics are not fun and there no much of action and threaler in this manga so many reader may ger bored but still worth a try
When delegates from the Twin Kingdoms arrive (first time in over 100 years) there is sure to be some reason for it. Everyone is trying to figure out exactly what as they slowly share and reveal (slip up) secrets this volume has great future implications. Zenjiro truly has not been living the ideal sponger life...and from the looks of it, it appears that wont be happening anytime soon. Another excellently drawn and written volume.
The plot thickens as Prince Francesco's motives become much clearer. A few more social/political blunders and the growth of a wider world in the story.
