Brock is a ex-military and starting his own private security business with his three closest friends. Life has been work for most of his life and his love life was never really a priority. When ER nurse, Lily, approaches him about a possible stalker from her past and which the cops have taken little notice of, he instantly recognizes her situation and commits to keeping her safe.
Lily has had a stalker in the past but the issue was resolved and she was able to move on. She’s really hoping the same will be said of this new threat but Brock has other ideas. From day one, she kind of gets whiplash when it comes to Brock. The way he instantly drops everything to make her his number one priority blows her away. It’s nice to have someone at her back that will stay when the going gets tough.
This was an insta-lust/love romance that has two likable characters and a romance short, sweet and straight to the point. Brock is the up front and definitely lives the whole directness approach. There’s no wishy-washy undecided-ness or back and forth with him. Once he knows Lily is it for him, he goes all out. Some of it might be a little OTT but if you’re looking for a quickie that’s completely safe and sweet, this one will hit the spot.
Side Note: My only pet peeve was Brock's pet name for Lily - Lovely- it sounded really old-timey when he would say things like: "I need to know what you want, lovely." or "Everything's perfect, lovely." It kept jumping out at me when I was reading and all I kept imagining was a white haired smarmy dude trying to be slick when he said this. #notfeelingit

He has found his one..........now he just has to keep her safe
Brock is the first book in the new Bourne Bodyguards series and it is a fantastic kick-off. The story of Brock Bourne and Lily Miller is a mouthwatering bite size morsel of goodness. He is an six-foot-two, muscle on muscle, ex-Ranger, who is dangerous and mysterious.............so "sex on a stick" basically. Lily is a curvy ER nurse who has a very sweet and easy life. That is until a note is left on her car windshield at work from what appears to be a stalker. Her best friend, roommate and work colleague makes her go to see Bourne Protection Services to see about hiring a bodyguard since the police won't do anything. Brock takes one look at Lily and he is done. All he wants to do is protect her and put down anyone that threatens what is his, including any of this friends and other owners of BPS. But the one other man that falls for Lily that Brock does not have an issue with............Nitro his huge German Shepherd!!!
I really enjoyed this fast-paced short story of an OTT ultra protective Alpha hunk and the smart, beautiful and curvy young woman that brings him to his knees in more ways than one. It look forward to reading the next in the series to see what happens, as there is a little cliffy at the end of Brock.

I really enjoyed this story. It's the first book in a new series and has great characters. It introduces us to all of the Bourne Bodyguards from Bourne Protective Services as well as being a romance between Brock and Lily.
Brock was an Army Ranger for years and after serving, he started Bourne Protective Services. Brock has never had any issues protecting people as a bodyguard. That changed when he met Lily. Lily is an ER nurse and has a stalker, which brings her to Brock's company. Once he sees Lily, he knows that he is going to keep her safe and with him. She is his.
Lily has never had to deal with trouble in her life because her parents were super overprotective. When she gets a note from a stalker, her roommate tells her to contact Bourne Protective Services for help. She wavers back and forth because she is sure that it's nothing, but decides to go ahead and meet Brock. She wasn't prepared for meeting Brock and feeling the way she does when she looks at him. She's sure that the feeling can't be mutual.
I liked that Brock was positive about wanting to be with Lily and everything he did seemed to be to move them closer to each other. They had some major instalove that Lily seemed determined to ignore or fight but that didn't last long! Loved their happy ever after! I recommend reading this book.

Greatt characters that will keep your interest extremely well.
I loved how the relationship unfolded so we could see these amazing characters grow in ways they never expected.
It is the type of story that clutches you at once and does not release you until you get to the end - then you find yourself pining over the fact that the book has ended.

A beautiful quickie
I've never read this author before and I was pleasantly surprised to find that this was a short story that read like a complete novel. I loved the idea of this series and I found Brock irresistible which is precisely why I couldn't put this book down! I wasn't expecting the cliff hanger so I can't wait to find out what happens next. Thank God for kindle unlimited!

I have never read anything from this author before. This is a very short read about Lily and Brock. Lily get a disturbing note, and because the cops don't take her seriously she turns to Brock. I loved both characters. Lily and Brock were amazing to read about. I will definitely continue with this series. An amazing book one in the Bourne Bodyguards series! It is a quick read with a flawless, passionate, well written, and captivating story line. There is action, drama, humour, suspense, and lots of steam. The characters are likeable; their chemistry is instant and potent. Definitely recommended!

This is a great read with an awesome storyline that has well developed and engaging characters that have lots of chemistry. The smooth flow of the storyline makes for a good reading time.

Insta-love!!!
Lily is being stalked and her bff talks her into getting a bodyguard. The minute she walks into the office it is love at first sight. Brock is very yummy. It's a quick read and can be read in under an hour.

A great start to this series Bourne Bodyguards. The story was well written, the characters fit well together and have great chemistry. It introduces us to the bodyguards and their stories. I am looking forward to reading more from this series.

I knew it had to be her stalker from high school that came back, stalkers don't just drop off the face of the earth. I'm glad Brock was watching Lily's place and saw the shadow in her living room. He probably would have hurt her if Brock hadn't run in on time.
