A fantastic, hilarious life-thriller !
I like this story because of the hilarious manner in which, even the scariest experience with ghosts in life, is explained in lovely Kongu Region Tamil. It is the writer's life story . I like his positive outlook on life. I recommend this to all Tamil readers.
The Story goes like this. Guna is a kind-hearted person in his village coming from a reputed well-to-do family of agriculturist, but he looses his land and Crops because of the adjescent Dye factory waste effluent which runs on his cultivated lands. He winds up and starts living in a nearby Town, starting his life from the scrap. His only investment in life is his strong will-power , his enterprising nature, his perseverance and his brain. He does all types of work and learns so many things, only with a motive to earn back all the money he lost from the same industry . He achieves what he wills. The process of his life story is being explained in such a hilarious manner . He is 'possessed' and even his dealing with ghosts which possess him are being explained in a very light way as to interest the readers. How he gets rid of them from his life , ends the first part of his autobiography.
Just can't believe that the writer has studied only upto 10th Standard ! One will definitely be amazed to see the way in which he handles situations and the way in which he explains very big things in a scientific manner. The knowledge he has obtained on different fields like medical, Science, logic, psychology, astrology, etc is amazing. He also knows how to make use of the knowledge obtained, in appropriate places, explaining them with perfect understanding. Peak of his experience is the one with the Psychologist to whom he goes for consultation. The situation turns upside down there !
There are many a thing for anybody to learn from his life. This is an interesting book which I would recommend to anybody.

Excellent read
One of the best, most interesting and inspiring biography. The book talks about an ordinary village boy turned into an extraordinary person in his life. Although the novel's focus is based on a specific supernatural incident or experience the author went through in his late 30s, he takes us to the past and present in a bit of non-linear fashion.
The author definitely has a great sense of humour which is evident throughout the novel, many of them are black humours which are so enjoyable. Also the author's experience in agriculture, gemology, astrology, medicines, and what not is amazing given that he is just a 10th class dropout. He is one great example for Literacy is not equal to Intelligence.
Once we cross the initial few pages then it will be very difficult to put it down. Though there are few episodes are longer and bit lagging, the author brings some humor or horror in a right place.
Many interesting characters - Mohan, Thenmozhi, Vembu, Selvi - who made me to envy the author to have such great friends in his life.
Must read, Shanthini will sure haunt you!

A transparent auto biography...
First I thought like an yet another biography making some compromises between ideal and real personalities. The author has justified himself with his own thoughts and not tried to persuade his readers to believe whatever he believes...nice flow of story...might have lessen 'believe it or not...it's my story ' tone...and moreover he thinks for other characters too 😀

Shanthini sorgam - interesting non fiction story.
I chose this rating because I like that the story is paranormal and yet has scientific elements in it. I also like that the main character is very knowledgeable.

Extremely interesting
Unable to believe this is the first novel from the author..can't keep the kindle aside..unstoppable..Got the chills many times when protagonist encounters shandhini.Surpassed all my expectations..

மிக அருமையான உரைநடை.சிரித்து கொண்டே படித்து கொண்டு இருக்கிறேன். நேரம் இரவு 12.50. நாள் 13.01.2020. 21 பகுதி முடித்துள்ளேன் . முழுமையாக படித்து விட்டு விமர்சனம் எழுத வேண்டும்.

Fantastic horror thriller
