The Books of I & II Samuel: A Commentary

Rate this book
"And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and for the battle [is] the LORD'S, and he will give you into our hands." And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine..." -1 Samuel 17:47-48 The two books of Samuel form a basic foundational study in the Old Testament. An understanding of this basic history is essential, not only to understanding the Old and New Testaments, but in gaining a valid perspective of eschatological issues as well. This study contains 16 hours of verse by verse teachings

THESE ARE NOT COMMENTARIES
I want to call them sermons (and they are) but they are hardly that either
Imagine a grandfather reading a storybook to a kindergartener, diverting whenever a stray thought comes his way, asking “thoughtful” questions from the text to his enraptured audience. There is no structure, no insight, no knowledge offered. He even grasps for meaningful pastoral messages.
And should we be surprised? Once you Google Missler it will become immediately apparent that he is not qualified in anyway to be a preacher.
If not then, then it will once you get about three lectures in and hear him go off on Halloween as entry level witchcraft, claimed that Harry Potter websites contain links to real sites to teach kids satanism, or bemoan wicked administrations (of a specific party)
Missler is no different than any white right wing businessman grifter who saw the profit opportunity in migrating whatever small business notoriety they had to a spiritual setting, and there are many.
If you, like me, were looking for commentaries on the Samuel books DONT LOOK HERE. If you are on this Goodreads page reading this for any reason, why???
Do not spend nine hours of your life listening to this drivel. Don’t spend nine minutes. I listened to an hour, and when I meet Missler in Sheol, far from the light of God, I will demand recompense for my time
