Farscape has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting and original sci-fi shows in years, mixing great scripts and characters with state of the art special effects. Following the huge success of the first volume, Farscape: The Illustrated Season 2 Companion provides in-depth coverage of the show's amazing second season. With unprecedented access to the show's stars and production team (including Farscape creator Rockne S. O'Bannon), the book takes an exclusive, detailed look behind the scenes, and also includes an episode guide to the whole of season two, with a look ahead to season three... It's a book no Scaper can be without
Another good one! Explains everything that occurred during the second season along with behind the scenes goodies from the actors to the makeup artists and directors. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
This is like the first season companion as it contains information on the various episodes along with one or more photos and quotes from them. There is information on how things go from a script to the screen, information on various characters and information on the special effects. There is one thing that caught my eye and that was the book saying, in the section The Creature Shop, that the character in the episode where things looked like the Skeksis from The Dark Crystal were not that at all. This contradicts other things I have read which said those characters were the Skeksis from the movie but spiffed up a bit. Otherwise it's a good companion as usual.
