Jack Winchestor is a complex character and reading his story was amazing. With his brutal past, it is not even surprising about his ways or what he does. But this time, he finds himself in a hospital, accused of a murder and he is not guilty. Overall the story was thoroughly enjoyable with enough pulse-pounding moments. There are even enough points in the story making me want to cry for Jack and the way he has turned out and how he acts in every situation peppers the situations making his character more understandable. Enjoyed it.
Good Read! Welcome back, Mr. Mills! I enjoyed this thriller about Jack, a professed killer of those who needed to be killed. He grew up in the mob, so his actions are a result thereof. But he is a good villain. He gets set up to serve time in the insane asylum for a crime he did not commit. His escape and vigilante justice are the things readers like me love to read.
These books are outrageous and Jack is a true anti-hero. He had a good soul sometimes, and then can remove it in seconds and just kill who he has to kill. Jack is in a dire predicament in this one and cannot seem to get the upper hand. But, trust me, he will!!! Jon Mills is a great author. One of my favorites.
Omg I thought Jon mills had but the mark with cry wolf but this , this is one roller coaster after another ...brilliant storylines between the characters , a real edge of your seat, page turning , not able to put it down ride ......think Im going to starting all over again xd
I love Jake Winchester. He's an awesome killer with a heart of gold. This time he ended up in a Forensic Hospital (AKA a mental hospital) where he was put for killing a family, including a mother and her children, which he had no memory of because he was drugged, but everyone knew he would never do that! Jack does not kill women and kids. It had some nice characters in the institution. I especially liked Edgar.
Absolutely no romance and the F-bomb was used 20 times.
As for the narration: Adam Gold was simply spectacular.
I loved the Debt Collector series. Jack is a stone cold killer with a conscious. Can't get enough of Jack. I just hope Jack does return. Editing needs to be addressed, but, most of the time I was so engrossed in the read that the edits was a hiccup along the way, Jack was not perfect, why should the editing of the book be? LOL Anyway, keep writing, I have read I believe everything you have written. That is unusual for me to do. I can not put any of Jon Mills books down until I have read them cover to cover. Excellent writer.

Wow. Where did all the positive reviews come from? The author must have a lot of friends posting them. I thought this book was terrible. One improbable scenario after another to keep the reader on the edge of his seat as the protagonist repeatedly tries to get out of an institution. I'm currently at the 76% mark but doubt that I'll be able to finish it. More to come if I make it to the end.....
Well written thriller. Jack is set up for murdering a family. He is placed into a mental institution for the criminally insane. This seems like a "no way out" situation but Jack doesn't let anything stop him, maybe slow him, but not stop him. He has some devious enemies. One who killed his lover. He manages to find him and get revenge. On his way to retirement in Florida, he meets his next case. This is a violent book, definitely not for a young reader.

This book was worth the wait. Jack Winchester finds himself in a mental hospital accused of killing a family. He would never kill a woman or child, others yes. Known as “The Butcher” working with the Mafia he lost count of his kills, but Jack was leaving his past behind. Best in the Jon Mills series.
I liked the book as it is well written and pretty much a page turner. Main character, Mike Winchester is a former mob collector who finds himself in a facility for the criminally insane. Framed for the murder of a family he soon finds out that a former mob boss has put him to to extract revenge and supposedly there is no escape from the place.
This was one of the most entertaining and entrancing books I have had the pleasure of reading for some time. It was gritty, gripping and really a seat of the pants experience. To say it was hard to put down would be a gross understatement. I recommend this author to all lovers of good thrille.s
I was addicted within the first few pages of the first book in the series! Each book is action packed and keeps you guessing. You can’t help but feel for and love each of the characters. Many a night, I lost sleep because I couldn’t put the book down. I’m sad that I’ve read the last in the series and can’t wait for the next one. Well done Jon!
Author weaves good thrilling adventure of trying to escape from a simple hospital. As the main character did, I had difficulty keeping track of the good/bad guys.Story moves well to readers wanted ending. I was so relieved to get out of that hospital! But how is for reading.
I have never been so happy and moved by a series of books. There was killing, survival a little happiness and a lot of heart put into these stories. Usually I like romance books and a little mystery but I'm glad I read these series. If you enjoy the first book I bet you will read the other 12. Thanks Jon.
Oblivion. A Jack Winchester thriller by John Mills
Loved the book, I have read all the series and this like them all was well worth the read and wait for the book to be published. I recommend the series and the book Oblivion Thank you John
The man must be Irish because he is the luckiest man I read about! Well, truthfully, all heroes are magicians...and WE love them for their tenacity at living another day! Kudos
I love the Jack Winchester series. Having just read oblivion in a day, I can't wait for the next in the series. I want to know if Madeleine is really Dana. Hurry up and write the next instalment.
I am really hoping that this isn't the last of Jack... I have read all 13 in this series and it is the BEST series I think I have ever read... I have laughed and cried and wanted to help him more times than I can count... highly recommend these
Tough, uncompromising and uncomfortable yet riveting reading
Well written, taught, gripping story. A hero who is largely amoral yet loyal to his friends with a glint of morality peeping through. This will keep you up at night!
I did not know what to expect as I have not read any of the Jack Winchester books. This was good though! I'm a bit squeamish about graphic violence thus 4 stars, otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I read all 13 books in a 2 week period. Ok, I’m retired! 😎Heart pounding from beginning to end. Please don’t let Oblivion be the end. Best series I have read in a long time! More, please!
I don't think I have ever read 13 books as quickly as I read these. This was an excellent series with a wonderful main character. I am sorry there are no more books. Looking forward to reading more by this author. Thank you Mr. Mills!
I’ve read all 13 books and am sad there isn’t a 14th! There were 2 in the middle that I didn’t love - too tedious to get through. But overall, a great read. I’ll read all of this authors books now. Highly recommend!!
Wow i was on the edge of my seat reading this wondering how it going to pan out right up to the end and wow what a end it was gladly didn't need the tissues a must read in the series that can go on for ever as far as i'm concerned !!
