Just when things couldn't get any worse . . .

Wilde Abandon is book 3 in the Ashcroft Academy series, an incredible new YA contemporary fantasy, with many more books to come! This book ties up the story arc for the first 3 books! The next three books are a continuation of the series, but focus around both previous and new storylines.

Ainsley

I’ve barely survived the first few months at Ashcroft Academy, but the trouble I’m in isn't over yet. I’m caught between wanting to avoid an ancient, supernatural entity bent on revenge and the witches it’s hunting. I’d love to call it quits, but Ashcroft holds the secret to my dad’s death and the investigation he never finished.

Sydney

My mother, the High Priestess of our coven, is watching me like a hawk ever since she found out there’s a supernatural entity on the loose—and that I may know more about it than I’ve admitted. She claims that she and the Elders are taking care of the situation, but all I’ve seen is a whole lot of nothing. My friends and are going to have to take matters into our own hands before its too late and more witches get hurt.

After reading and loving book 2, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this! The series got darker as it went along, which was perfect. K.M. Charron ramped up the tension to irresistible levels, and the hate between Ainsley and Sydney calls back to the greats - Cruel Intentions, Gossip Girl... Loved the resolution between them, and so glad there's more to come in this series.

"Wilde Abandon" is the 3rd book in the Ashcroft Academy series by Canadian independent thriller-fantasy author Kelly (K.M.) Charron, and I received an e-book copy of this book from the author herself, in exchange for an honest review.

The story of "Wilde Abandon" builds brilliantly on the story of the first two books. The whole coven now knows of the shape-shifting entity that has wrecked havoc on the Ashcroft campus and drained the magic of two coven members, but the coven leadership is slow to enact any plan, so it's up to Ainsley, Sydney and their friends to seal the entity away permanently. But dark magic has terrible consequences. Will the group be able to seal the entity away before its too late?

This book was absolutely amazing! As I said, it built brilliantly on the story of the first two books, and it increased the tension and the stakes dramatically. I was literally on the edge of my seat the entire time, and every twist and revelation sucked the air out of my lungs and made it so I absolutely couldn't put the book down. It was so totally engrossing.

As always, I loved the adversarial relationship between Ainsley and Sydney, and the romantic tension between Ainsley and Justin reached peak levels in this third book too. I can't wait to see how both core relationships continue to develop as the series progresses. And still, there is the mystery of what happened to Ainsley's father and of all the disappearances, so there's plenty more of this story to be told.

This is quite honestly a top-shelf fantasy series, and with each book I read from her Kelly Charron just keeps getting better! I absolutely cannot wait for Book 4 to be released!

I highly, HIGHLY recommend this book, and this series! It's definitely one that every fantasy reader will want to add to their shelves!

Thanks to Kelly (K.M.) Charron for sending this book to me for review!
