Finding a dead man is a hell of a way to start a holiday.

Growing up, Hawk was always a bit of a wild card. Once he became a SEAL, he found his niche in the world. But the wild man was still there, under wraps …and waiting for a match. Back home for a few days, he realizes a new, darker element has moved in.

And it appears to involve the freckle-faced redhead he never forgot.

Mia remembers her best friend’s brother. After all, what woman could forget him? He was like fireworks lighting up her life. Taking her breath away and making her heart beat faster. But the version that came home was harder, more dangerous ... and sexy as hell.

Good thing he's on their side as the town explodes in violence with Mia caught in the middle.

I downloaded books 1-3 only because it was 0$, I read book 1 and altho it was ok, I wanted to read a second book before I made a decision on the author and the series.. The story is a whole lot unbelievable, author doesn't do alot of research. The girl gets beat up to the point she ends up in the hospital FOR A DAY, with a broken collarbone and broken ribs, and broken bones in her face, let alone all the rest of the bumps and bruises and yet when she is discharged from the hosp. she goes back exploring caves with her friends while the bad guys are still lose??? really??? Altho the SEALS are experts at diving, the author has them on a dive until their tanks are dangerously low on air, they swap tanks and go back under diving immediately - really???? You would think someone who gets kidnapped and beat up 4 times would have better security that just a couple of SEALS. The author makes the SEALS look like bumbling fools in each book. If you read the entire series, be warned it just a copy and past of this one. A different team member, a new girl and a new story line but the girl gets kidnapped and beat up 4 times in EVERY BOOK. I read the first 3 just to make sure this book wasn't a fluke but nope each book is the same. ALOT of editing errors and some serious mistakes that the author should have done some research (scuba diving and medical research) she confuses a civilian hospital with a military hospital in the same chapter) before she put it into the books. All in all - if you can get a free copy go for it, but don't pay more than .99 for any of the series. The reviews that are 5 stars must be reading different books because I don't see the same story line.

Ugh, this one was pretty annoying. This author really needs to find another way of stirring up trouble that doesn’t involve kidnapping. Jesus Christ, it was constant - every time she’d get saved, the next chapter she was kidnapped again. Not to mention that this meant that Mia and Hawk barely spent any time together. They supposedly fell in love but spent 2/3 of the time apart? That ain’t gonna cut it.

I feel like there were so many ways this book could have been good but instead it just stuck to the same formula and became a drag. Hawk was meant to be Mia’s best friends brother but we barely see these supposed “beat friends” together (there’s no proof of them actually being friends) and idk, maybe I’d have liked it more if they’d just had a smidgeon of a past together, whether it be a past fling or ‘unrequited’ crush. Instead, it was just “oh yeah, your my best friends brother who I don’t know at all, wanna fall in love whilst still not knowing each other?”

I ain’t having that Deirdre.

Hawk is a SEAL and it has been his lifelong ambition. His team are like brothers to him.During a 5 day vacation,he goes back to his hometown while the rest goes back to their family.Their vacation is shot lived when Hawk finds a dead man, shot in the store of his sister's friends father.
Just like how Mason found his partner,he finds his,in spitfire, sassy and sexy Mia.It takes a lot to get them together, and for them to realize their love to each other. When will the rest find their love?

Book 2,and this time it’s Mia that needs constant saving by Hawk.
Same storyline, girl is taken and rescued by the team, over and over.....
Again,i don’t think SEALS leave anything to chance, and leaving the girl vulnerable for another kidnapping?
With the enemy still at large,i think that’s a big NO.
And those injuries she sustained?
You don’t curl up with broken ribs, trust me i know!
As far as eating chinese with gusto when your jaw is broken......or going caveing with those injuries and more?
Sorry,but no......
Not my story,again!

Why 1 Star? Because I couldn't give it -5 Stars.

I know that these stories are going to be more fluff than reality and that is fine with me. Unfortunately this story took TSTL to a whole new level.

Note: The first two items took it from a 4 Star to a 1 Star story for me.

1. The h is captured a total of four times by the bad guys... three times in 24 hours.

2. The H doesn't think about getting her protection after the first or second time that she is captured... Yet he is a Seal and must know that she is a target.

3. One if the captors insinuates that he wants to sexually assault the h but the other draws the line at rape. They don't draw the line at extreme torture or murder... really?

I enjoyed the first story but with so many captures in a day I just couldn't let it go.

Well well... I also would absolutely love to be rescued by Hawk... I mean the whole team for sure but Hawk?? Hoooottttttttie!! But at the same time Mia wasn't entirely a damsel in distress either. While she absolutely kept getting her derriere in trouble, she also fought tooth and nail to get herself out of trouble OR protect others if she didn't think she couldn't get herself out of it!
I love the men, I love their brotherly bond and I am so looking forward to the rest of our boys!
Next up: Dane!!

There is no such thing as a vacation!

When Hawk decides to visit his sister, Eva, just moments after arriving in the little sleepy hometown, he discovers a robbery in progress and a murder. There is also looting of the local general store owned by Gordon, the father of Eva’s best friend Mia. Gordon’s gun case in the back of the store has also been broken into and all of the guns stolen.

Hawk learns that there are rumors of chemicals, bomb making equipment and a cache of guns found hidden in the nearby caves located around Gordon’s home. This has Hawk contacting the members of his SEAL team for backup against this unknown threat.

Mia is part of a search and rescue team. She is participating in the Spelunking team training that several friends put together. Hawk and his team become an integral part of the rescue of Mia and her father when they are kidnapped by men determined to sell arms and other weapons to terrorists. They will kill anyone that gets in their way.

It had been several years since Hawk had seen Mia but that didn’t stop his feelings of attraction for her. Because Mia has been secretly attracted to Hawk for years, she couldn’t help but feel more than just friendship when Hawk jumps in to rescue her.

This story is full of adventure and suspense. The spelunking trips are so descriptive that you almost feel as though you are there in that dark, tight space. The author does a great job describing Mia’s reluctance of being inside the caves. I love how Hawk is quite bossy getting Mia to safety when they are confronted by the enemy. Of course, Mia, being a bit stubborn, doesn’t listen and finds herself in trouble again.

This story keeps you turning the pages anxious for the next part. Mia can’t help but go toe to toe with Hawk when she feels that she can help him which is very entertaining. Hawk doesn’t really know what to do with her. But he does know that he will keep her safe. I enjoyed the good natured kidding the team brothers give Hawk when they want to know if he is going to keep her.
They are a true match. I love HEAs!!

After reading 2 no need to read 3

This is the second book in the series and the second I read. This author is very lazy. Repeated the same story with different men. She also did lousy research. Both of the women are abducted 4 times. These SEALs were not too good at protecting. When Mia is attacked doctor says she has broken bones in her face, broken ribs, her eyes are swollen shut, face bruised and lips swollen. She is released the same day. Wow! I’d get a new doctor! And most disturbing when the main SEAL meets the woman the whole team asks is he’s going to keep her. If not, they want a chance! What is she, a puppy?!!

I very much enjoyed the book. However, there were a few questions that were never answered, which is frustrating. What was the terrorist cell all about? What was the plan? What happened to the terrorist after he was caught? What happened to Tom’s son? What was in the cave that Tom wanted so badly? And what happed to the guy with the monogrammed knife? Did he get away? I would have at least liked an epilogue to create some closure.

At about 75% through this book, I wanted to write a scathing review of how the hero and heroine are Too Stupid To Live (TSTL), even thinking about giving ratings for the stupidity. I mean, after five (FIVE!!!) kidnappings, I was getting kind of burned out. The ending redeemed the book a bit because the heroine helped save herself, but it was still not my favorite.

I received this free e-book as part of a boxed set and I am voluntarily writing a review. Over kill and over done sums this book up perfectly. How many times can one person get kidnapped, beaten to a pulp with broken bones and survive? I lost count after five and it just kept on going. Needless to say I will not be reading the remaining books.

Are the female characters kidnapped multiple times in every book through out the series? The book would have been so much better without all these multiple kidnappings.
1) It puts the females as helpless
2) It puts the males supposedly there to protect her as brainless idiots that never should have been in the military of any kind in the first place.

I love the way Dale Mayer writes SEAL stories! This one has the team taking a short leave between missions so Hawk goes to visit his sister, Eva. Since he hasn't been back in a while, he stopped in at the store he used to work at as a teen, to visit the owner, Gordon. Only to find him shot in the head. Knowing Gordon's daughter, Mia, was his sister's best friend, Hawk called Eva with the news. Both women were there in minutes.

Turns out that not only was Gordon shot but his gun case in the store had been broken into and all of the guns stolen, along with his cache of guns in another nearby building. When Hawk heard the rumors about bomb-making equipment and a pile of guns being hidden around the town, he called his SEAL team.

Mia became an important part of the search because of her extensive knowledge of the underground caves and tunnels in the area. She is part of a search and rescue team that finds tourists when they get lost in the tunnels. But her participation makes the terrorists believe she knows more than she does and they kidnap her - several times. The SEALs keep rescuing her though.

I liked the way Hawk was always able to save Mia. But couldn't believe how often he left her alone. OK, he did tell her to stay safe and to stay put, but he had to know she wasn't going to just sit back and do nothing. So she went and got herself kidnapped over and over. Even with the way she attracted trouble, overall she was a strong woman who stuck up for herself. Even with Hawk. She wouldn't take any flack from him.

What a great SEAL team. They constantly had each other's backs whether they were on duty or not. It was cute that they kept asking Hawk if he was going to keep her (Mia) because they wanted her if he didn't.

If you like military romance, you will really like this.

SEALS of Honor Hawk

This was a very action packed story with another SEAL, Hawk finding love with Mia who was friends with his sister. She was instrumental in helping stop a group terrorists from bombing bridges by telling Hawk what she found in a cave she was exploring. Hawk found her uncle dead at their general store when he came to town to visit his sister. The terrorists robbed her family's store of all its guns and other supplies that could make a bomb. Hawk called Mason his unit's leader so they could come to town to help catch the robbers. In the mean time Hawk and Mia connected romantically even though he tried to not get involved with her that way. He could not stay away as she kept getting kidnapped by these terrorists and he needed to save and protect her. It made for a very exciting story as they eventually capture these terrorists and stop their plot to bomb the bridges. Mia proved she had spunk and kept escaping and rescued Hawk at one point. The story did stop abruptly after Hawk and Mia decided to be together and he was keeping her as his own from the rest of his SEAL unit which would have gladly wanted her. I cannot wait to read the next release in this exciting series.

When Hawk goes on R&R he heads home. He wants to visit with his sister and catch up. Life has other plans though. The town is in chaos when he arrives, so he stops at the General Store and finds who he believes is the owner shot. The response from the Sheriff is less than promising and he reaches out to his sister to find the man's daughter, Mia.

Mia is a search and rescue professional. When Hawk arrives in town she is deep in the caves with two experienced spelunkers. She is only vaguely aware of the drama now centered in town now that a cache of weapons and ammunition has been found in the caves. When she gets the messages about her father being dead she rushes to his store. It's then she discovers it's her uncle. Rushing home to check on her father she finds herself and her father in a most precarious situation.

This book dives into the action fast and furiously, with Hawk having to start things on his own. The team follows quickly and the implications of the weapon cache go much further than just this small town.

Mia is strong and feisty, giving Hawk a run for his money even as their attraction grows hotter.
I couldn't stop reading and Dale is definitely rough on her heroines, good thing they are as strong as the SEALs that win their hearts.

Gosh these guys certainly pick their women, strong and capable but forever going missing. The Seals themselves seem to spend half their time chasing down the baddies and the rest rescuing their damsels in distress, not that they seem bothered to much at being hero's. The bad guys don't have any qualms about beating on women either, real bullies and violent different matter when its men though its guns all the way. Fast paced action packed story, no time to get bored or to put it down as it is straight from one crisis to the next. Enough story to keep it interesting and with a touch of mystery to who the main bad guy is. The caves sound fascinating, though I'm not great at being in enclosed spaces. The Seal team are all hot, great at what they do and very much all for one and one for all racing to help each other as soon as the call goes out. Oh and they are all looking for the same type of women since they have all claimed both Tesla and Mia so far, look out Mason and Hawk you mess up and the others will be stepping up. Honestly I loved it, the joking and teasing making me chuckle and easing the tension that built in between.

SEALs of Honor Book 2 Hawk - is a suspenseful tale full of action and danger, drama and suspense and explosive situations but amongst it all there is a lot of laughs. The story is told from multiple points of view, so we get a great perspective of their motivations, and thought processes. I mean who does not love some hot alpha male SEALS who will do anything to keep the woman they make theirs safe. I must say Dale definitely puts these women through the ringer.

After the last mission Hawk decides to head home to see his sister. Unfortunately what he finds is a town in chaos.

Mia is in a team of search and rescue and found something unusual whilst deep within a cave. She soon finds out that there is a greater plan that will put everyone in danger and now she is on their radar in captured.

Hawk and the team are now on the hunt for those who are plotting something that people will not recover from but what is worse is that they have Mia. Now they have to race against time to stop the violence and save Mia before her time runs out.

I enjoyed these stories and look forward to reading the others and see how they catch their woman.

Another exciting story by Dale Mayer, Hawk goes home for some R&R but instead finds himself in the middle of murder and a terrorist plot. Mia is the kind of girl that the SEALs seem most attracted to, namely feisty and self-sufficient. Almost immediately upon arriving in town, Hawk has to go after Mia to rescue her and her father when the first of multiple kidnappings takes place. I did wonder how it would be possible for any woman to survive the repeated beatings that Mia experienced and that was very off-putting for me. The team of SEAL brothers work together on finding Mia and at the same time neutralising the threats. There were a few loose ends that left me with questions, for instance who did the knife belong to and did they really get the bad guy in the end? There were also a few odd statements, eg "she squeezed her eyes shut while she watched him." Otherwise this was a well written and action packed story. I read Hawk as part of a box set "SEAL's of Honor: Books 1-3".

This is the second book in the series. This story is Hawk and Mia's story.

Mia is his sister's best friend and from almost the minute Hawk hits town he stepped into town, she has been in the middle of trouble. His hometown has changed a lot and the sheriff isn't much help at all.

Mia never sees herself as measuring up. She isn't ever good enough and yet she displays a strength, determinedness, and stubborn streak like no other. She has a big heart and is constantly helping others.

Hawk is a big band SEAL who knows who saves the day but he doesn't want to be seen as a hero. He just wants to be seen as a man.

The story was full of action and kidnappings. I liked it a lot but only gave it four stars due to quite a few grammatical errors in the beginning of the story and a few times I think the writer mistook Mia for Eva, Hawk's sister. None the less it was a good book and I will be reading the entire series.

SEAL Hawk is going home for a short break but never expected to find a dead man as soon as he arrives there. It also seems to be around the redhead he never forgot. Mia remembers her best friend's brother who is now much more dangerous to her heart and as sexy as hell - just as well he is on her side as the local town explodes in violence and she appears to be stuck in the middle.

This book was full of danger, drama and excitement as it moved from one twist to the next. Mia was so strong in the face of all that was happening to her and Hawk was true to type in resisting the inevitable until he had no choice but to accept it. A great fun read.

The action, hometown appeal, terrorist threat, SEAL dynamics were all on point. The references to Tesla were great and Gordon was a MVP. The romance seemed like an afterthought in this story, but the joking of the teammates still made it sweet. The kidnappings were not as extreme in quantity as book one, but what they did to Mia was still brutal in the last two kidnappings.

The team dynamic is great and I can’t wait to read more of their stories. While not necessary to enjoy this book I would recommend reading book one first to fully understand the comparisons and references to Tesla and Mason.

More Excitement

More daring do by the SEAL's of Honor team. This time they're up against home grown terrorists, greedy speculators and trouble in Hawk's small hometown. Hawk soon finds his sister' s best friend, Mia, is caught up in the midst of all this intrigue. Through no fault of her own, she becomes the bad guys focus. And she must endure kidnappings, bomb threats and near drowning. But Hawk swoops to her rescue, almost always on time. Their relationship develops quickly, although they've known each other peripherally for years. He realizes her bravery, selfless behavior and astute actions make her the one for him. She's ready, but not agressive toward him. She knows he has to recognise his own need. And the conclusion clearly brings it all together.

Brilliant narration from Daniel Henning

While visiting his sister Eva, Hawk discovers a robbery in progress and a murder. The town is also having deal with looting. One of the places is the general store the father of Mia’s father, Mia is the best friend of Eva. Hawk’s gun case was in the store and all have been taken.
A lot more is going down, Hawk contacts his team when chemicals, bomb making equipment and guns are found hidden in caves located around Gordon’s home.
Hawk and his team become into play when Mia and her father are kidnapped by men determined to sell arms and other weapons to terrorists.

Action, drama and romance.

I really enjoyed this story.
Hawk is an honorable man who just wanted some downtime with his sister, Eva. Plans change when he walks into the store in his town and discovers a dead body shot in the head. He calls his teammate, Swede who comes into help and after further investigation, ends up calling the rest of his team. Mia is the storeowner's daughter who is a search and rescue specialist. She helps out Hawk and his team and has to end up being rescued herself several times.
The camaraderie in this team is great and entertaining at times.

What is supposed to be a peaceful vacation for Hawk quickly changes when he goes into the local store and finds a dead body that he thinks is Mia's father but who is actually her father's brother. In addition, there's talk that a cache of weapons and chemicals were found in a nearby cave. Of course, Mia, his sister's best friend, is now all grown up and Hawk finds himself very attracted to her while trying to keep her out of trouble. Love that Mia has a backbone and common sense - and was able to stand up to Hawk. Also love the camaraderie among Hawk and the rest of the team.

Hawk

WOW! Another exciting story. Hawk wanted what Mason has and didn't know what he had when he saw Mia. Mia is always down on herself but when Hawk went back to his hometown, he discovered Mia again. Too bad terrorists stood between them. When the final terrorist was captured, only then could these two find their happily ever after. FANTASTIC job Dale! I would recommend this book!

Hawk and his team are on downtime. He has gone home to see his sister. When he pulls into town, it is chaos. He finds a dead body and then calls Swede. He hears from his sister what is going on and calls in his team. Mia is down in a cave for her rescue training. When she comes out, she has a message. She rushes into town and ends up meeting Hawk.
From then on, it's one disaster after another involving a terrorist group. Can Hawk keep her alive long enough to keep her?

Hawk is a SEAL and on Mason's team. While on a well earned break from the team he went home to see his sister. But something was off with the town he grew up in. People were different. When he found a body in a local store he went for answers and found more questions. He needed help. When Mia his sisters bf is kidnapped he goes SEAL mode. There seems to be a link with the caves and weapons found. He needs to keep her safe from those who want to destroy the US.
