Autumn is Jim's greatest weakness. You might fantasize about your best friend's daughter, but you never act on it.
But after spending three years working overseas, Jim comes home to find Autumn has blossomed from the shy, awkward teenager he once knew, into a full blown woman with spicy curves that have him hungry for a lot more than Turkey. Maybe some stuffing?
But Autumn is off-limits. That's the one line Jim just can't cross. He's twice her age and she shouldn't want him, but she does, and she's making it very hard to resist.
This was a great holiday read. I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC of this book.
Jim is home after working away for the past three years. Women haven’t been on his radar since his ex wife but all that changes when he spots Autumn in the park. Feeling like he’s been hit by a truck the moment their eyes meet he knows he has to make her his but when he finds out she’s the daughter of his best friend and boss, he should walk away but can he?
Autumn is home for the holidays and when she meets Jim is unprepared for how he makes her feel, here is the man she has been waiting for but when he runs away she is confused and hurt with unanswered questions. All is revealed the next day when he’s in her house, her dads friend. Can they hide their attraction to each other?
Quick, steamy read totally safe with a great holiday theme.
More men should call their women a “Goddess”❤️❤️❤️ or a “Queen”, smart man!! A happy Thanksgiving for these two lusty, naughty, and hot, insta-lovers to HEA!!🔥🔥🔥
I love this man instantly for dissing the “Kardashian girls” fakeness 🤣🤪🤘🤪🤣
🤫 a couple of boo-boos though:
I definitely enjoyed this lusty & naughty fall-time love story 🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁 (Sorry, but I don’t think the cover model looks anything like the Autumn described in the book: “thick gorgeous curls of blonde hair, plump lips, &luscious curves”)
This is the story of Autumn (18) and Jim (36). Jim is just home from a three-year business stint in China. He was transferred there after his divorce as a means to get away from the situation. While walking through the local park, he meets Autumn. They flirt a bit and Jim falls in insta-lust. Autumn, too, is feeling things for Jim. But, it turns out, she's his employer's -- and best friend! -- daughter. The story begins against the backdrop of Thanksgiving.
Can Autumn and Jim overcome their age difference? What about her parents? Will Autumn and Jim get their happily ever after?
You'll have to read to find out... But, c'mon, it's a holiday romance!
While I liked the characters and the story, I found this only okay; I liked it. It wasn't bad, but I can't say I "really liked it" (4 stars) or that "it was amazing" (5 stars). This is the first book I've read by Jenna Rose. It is a quick, sexy read and though there are some missteps (see spoiler), I'll read more by her.
My peeves are not enough to keep me from recommending this to people looking for a quick read with some heat. And as stated, I liked it enough to read more by the author (and actually have several others in my TBRs now).
Bloody Hell, more than half of the book was just them doing the 'Devils Tango' with each other! The beginning was... Okay, I guess...? The beginning/middle gave me a heart attack, not in a good way either (P.S. I was not saved in time). In the middle/end I fainted, hit my head on the corner of my counter table, then was shanked to death by a metal spear, coated in garlic (My weakness! Nooooo!). At the end I was just like, 'Ew. What!? Huhhhh!? Why would you just accept that fact! WHAT!?' Then at the very, very end, I was like, 'AWWWWW'
Well, that's a nice ending. But I read that entire book... I'm just... I'm just gonna crawl into this hole and never come out again.
FOR PEOPLE: (RECOMMEND OR NOT) WOULDs for people... I WOULD recommend it if you only mainly like reading the characters playing Twister together. I WOULD recommend it if you do like some mature, adult smut. I WOULD recommend it if you like having the girl as an 18 year old and he's... He's in his 30's...
Would NOTs for people I would NOT recommend it if you don't like giving yourself trauma. I would NOT recommend it if you don't like the characters breakdancing with the Devil. I would NOT recommend it if you do not like two people who are about 16 years apart in age to date/marry (girl is 18 and he's... he's in his 30's...)
First things first; I love the cover of this book! This story is short, fast paced and entertaining. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Having worked away for three years, Jim is back in his hometown. On his first night back, he spots a young woman that he is instantly attracted to. When Jim learns who the girl is, will he back off or will he find love over thanksgiving? Autumn want’s Jim and she is determined to get her man. I really liked Autumn. I liked her sass and her determination to make Jim hers. The chemistry and attraction between Jim and Autumn is clear to see and I liked them together. I really liked Autumn’s parent’s reactions to their relationship. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.
James just got back from being overseas for a job for three years. When he sees a sexy young woman sitting in the park alone, he makes his move and then realizes it's his friends daughter, Autumn. Autumn can't believe the sexy older man she kissed in the park is her dad's friend, but she plans on doing a lot more than just kissing him. Will these two be able to get a HEA? Or will Autumn's dad prevent that from happening? Great read and I highly recommend it!
🦃Thanksgiving themed ❤️age gap- 18 years 🦃V1rg1n heroine ❤️forbidden-dads best friend!
Holy steaming broccoli, This was hot. Not a huge fan of big age gaps but Jenna Rose did this one right! The only “ick” factor I got was dad asked his best friend to take care of his daughter knowing what would happen.
What an enjoyable sexy fun read. Well written and it just had and ease of flow. I liked the dynamics, and the snappy fun repartee, and the knowledge that they just found their happily forever. Perfect title, for this holiday season, lol.
Holy freaking goodness! This was awesome! Really really hot! I loved it! I need more books like this one! I must only say that there were a few mistakes in the last chapter that should be looked at and edited.
Great story, Jenna Rose did a great job in giving us more story in this one to go with the hot and steamy scenes. A bit of a age difference in here which was fine with me..
Just like most of her other books. The setting with this one was at a Thanksgiving dinner, if the title and cover didn’t give it away already. This was another “girl falls in love with dad’s best friend” kind of deal.
If you’re in the mood for a quickie romance and you don’t mind the age difference between the couple then this book will do the trick for you.
