Fast paced chills and thrills Fun and witty dialogue with a great flow makes for a book I did not want to put down. Never ending twists and surprises for the reader with unexpected arrivals of some characters. You are kept in suspense as to the motives of some of the characters. Wow, there were lots of people dying in this story, it was surprising and tragic who gets killed off, but I like the unexpected. I am sure things will fall into place as time goes on.This is a full length stand alone story with a murder mystery. I also like the connection to Russia, I have learned a bit about art and a little history. I also like the common thread for women’s rights, but I am sad to see that Jessica seems to have a bit of a drinking problem. Overall a great read with interesting characters and I highly recommend.
This 5 book set is awesome. Jessica James, the cowgirl from Montana working on her PhD in Philosophy, has lots of interesting friends. This book keeps you guessing as to 'who done it' only to find out that close friends and colleagues wind up dead. The Russian Arts Center is the focal point but no one can figure out how. Did Amber poison her tea bags? Her bags are found at every murder site. Makes you wonder. Jessica and Lolita are working to get to the bottom of the murders. It is an exciting thriller right up to the end when the killer is exposed. Will there be a Book 6? Could be. I hope so.
I have read and enjoyed all of the Jessica James books and enjoyed everyone Except this one. I got almost halfway when I had to stop. There was no plot that I could find and all I did get out of it was that Jessica has the hots for the professor. Which we already knew.
This was my favorite in the series. It did sadden me at the loss of so many great characters. Hopefully this series does continue and we see how everyone grows as they move on with their lives.
Wished there were more. This author has brought the characters to life. I'm definitely going to watch for the next one. I've read WOLF, COYOTE, FOX, JACKAL and VIPER. Each one excellent and entertaining.
I have now read the whole series, written this fat. They are fast paced books with enough twists to keep you guessing. The characters in the books are well written and believable.
A thoroughly satisfactory ending to this series. Jessica is a great heroine and the secondary characters are all nicely well rounded too. This one encompassed fine art, child trafficking and the Russian mafia. A very enjoyable read.
This is the 5th book in this series, and I can’t wait to dive into book six!! Jessica and her crazy friends and their crazier antics keep you wanting to turn the page.
Viper Jessica James Mysteries Book #5. Can't say enough about how great this book is. Highly recommend reading. Love how the story takes so many twists and turns never giving anything away. Now I'm also left wanting to know more. Not sure if there's another book that picks up where this one ends.
