Ly’ Nia Love Bates is young and beautiful with an aura you almost can’t help but be attracted to. Especially if your name is Abram or Cayman Pierce. When Ly’ Nia finds herself facing the consequences of a jaded judgment call, these two brothers find themselves at the beginning of a tumultuous power struggle — and even an unexpected prison sentence can’t seem to help mend their burned bridge. Abram Aries Pierce is handsome, talented, and loyal to a fault. A fault that finds him making a decision that could alter his entire life. With a connection to Ly’ Nia that is seemingly out of this world and a bond with his brother that won’t let him sever ties no matter how crazy things get, Abram finds himself facing a question that has stood the test of time and may unlock the key to the life he can feel God has promised him. Are you your brother’s keeper?
This is by far the best story of 2019 for me, hands down
Idk even where to begin to break down how amazing and deep this story was. Anyone could see the love radiating between Abram and Nia but when he was talking to her before he got out and afterwards, there was definitely no denying it. It was that soul tying, earth shattering, eternal love between them. I disliked Cayman for so many reasons yet I'd rather he'd been a deadbeat for any other reason besides that. It is mindboggling to me. I finally see the Cain and Abel connection of the story. Their mother spoke truth about raising your children to be the men and women they should be yet they will eventually choose their own.path that only they can correct. That had me thinking. I loved when Nirvana, Roland, and the Camp were brought up as well. Nirvana's story as well as each person of the Camp's story shook me emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Abram and Nia did the same as well. When Baby AB spoke her heart to Abram at IHOP, I was in tears. This was an amazingly well written story that I think everyone needs to read!!
Ok, so ask me why I'm still over here crying? This was an amazing story. Lex C never ceases to amaze me. All I hear is Made featuring Frankie Beverly "We Are One." Cayman was a pain , but I'm glad he came to his senses to right his wrong. It's a shame he had to be knocked senseless first, but hey. Ly'Nia and Abram had a spiritual connection like no other. I'm so glad they finally had their HEA. And I just loved AB. She was far beyond her years. Great work on execution Lex. C!
This book was everything. I love how Lex C makes her characters so strong, potent, deep, empowered, loving, and all about genuine bonds, soul ties, and family. How can you not connect with such a overpowering connection that radiates off the pages. This book made me laugh, smile, cry, curse, etc. I became apart of their family. Lol. My God...Abram!! What a mighty man. He was so enduring. The way he talked, thought, protected, loved, cared, supported, encouraged, etc had me like where is he in real life. Ijs. The IHOP conversation and the Christmas apology took me down. Man, this book was so darn great. Lex C know she knows how to create dope ass men and storylines. Shout out to her for mentioning “The Camp.” Another five star read added to my library.
Lex C. You did it again, I love Nia and Abrams story. You had their souls connected from the 1st day they met. This was so emotional and spiritual I didn’t know whether to cry or sigh. And that Cayman I could have choked him on so many levels with his selfish behind, how could you set up your own brother, that was one beating he truly deserved. You’ve done it once again and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
I hated to see it end because it was so amazing. I answered the call & fell for Skillz.😂 Lex C. is something special & I look forward to reading more of her books!!!🥰😍
This was an excellent read. Beautifully written, real life. The storyline held my attention as these characters were introduced, their situations laid out. I knew when I seen the name Abram, he was a great guy. From the beginning, his strength and love for Nia was never a doubt. I could actually envision the characters and the scenes as I read them. The conversation with Aubriana and Abram was emotional and sweet. I truly enjoyed this story and highly recommend
This book was amazing! Lex C is genius! I loved the way Abram lobed Nia from the start. I like her move swooned over the way he poured love into her. He had so much maturity for a young man. His stint in prison was like a sabbatical and he came out stronger and more loyal to Nia and Aubrianna. Cayman! Man he was a piece of work. I understand his struggle but it was his own doing. He caused so much pain even though he seemingly was doing the best he could to deal with his actions once he fully realized what he did. I love the grandmas in the story. So many lingering thoughts!
First off let me say I loved this story even though it had me in my feelings. I wanted to round house Cayman on several levels so I was happy when Abram gave him some of what he was overdue for. Abram and LyNia had a soul connection that was formed way before they knew what to call it. Abram was a stand up guy although he was a bit too loyal to his big brother to his detriment. Yeah Abram grew from the experience but still! Trese finally acted like a woman should and made moves to right wrongs. All in all this was a good story and the family dynamics and unfolding secrets kept me swiping the pages!
Oh my gosh, this was such a good book. The bond that Nia and Abram had was so intense, my goodness, they were definitely soulmates! I really couldn’t get enough of Abram! He was everything!! While, I wanted to dislike Cayman, I couldn’t and I definitely don’t condone the way he treated Nia but he was in a pretty tough situation. I think at the end he did the right thing for everyone. Abram and Nia were so cute, I knew they’d end up being a thing in the end! Lol. Very good read!! ❤️I may or may not have shared a few tears when Aubriana had her talk with Abram.. 😢
Well written and full of emotions, I thoroughly enjoyed this read. There was more than one character I’d consider gangster and that made it all the more better. It’s hard walking the line of topics that aren’t so cut and dry or black and white. This author did a good job of allowing the characters to make it through their perspectives without forcing her opinion on the reader. Brava!
This book took me through an emotional ringer. Can we stay Roller coaster?!? My feelings towards some of these characters went up, down, and around. AB was definitely his brother’s keeper!!
Awesome read! Nia and Abram had a soul tie that years separated could not break. Cayman and Abram (brothers) both have their own interactions with Nia. One night and a fateful decision later changes the trajectory of their lives. What happens when that soul tie is strengthened and nurtured? 1-click and find out, if Love answers a Gangsta's call!
I love Abram. He was his brother keeper. He loved himself some LyNia. They truly belong together. I hated his brother Cayman. How you gone set your brother up. So happy Abram and LyNia got their happily ever after.
Abram and Ly'Nia have been bestowed forever. He was everything she need in a friend and he became everything she need in a man. That damn Cayman was something else to deal with. And he was evil for what he took from her and his brother. Abram and Nia deal with the hand they were dealt. And baby girl AB was the truth and sometimes kids know more then we think and understand at the same time. I cried and got happy and mad all over again. This book right here made me look at something that happened in my own life. It's wonderful to know Abram was a real man and did step up to take care of Ly'Nia and baby AB as his very own!! Now that's why you call GANGSTA!!! Thank you Lex C for this awesome story!!
In the story like in the Bible, one brother betrayed the other in a way unimaginable. Abram was a painter and a car fanatic. Cayman was a con man through and through. Nia was their connection and their destruction, no matter how you spin the story, it will still spell drama. Even though Abram always loved Nia, he kept his distance until events pulled them apart for a period. Cayman would have to own his ish, eventually, and Abram would admit to what his heart always desired. La'Nia..... A Gangsta can call me any day if it is Abram....
Lex I love all your reads, sheesh. This was so well put together and laid out. Just a frustratingly beautiful story. A true Cain and Able. Lol! Ly is a strong woman and Abram is THEE best. I’m happy with the ending and soo wanted an epilogue but if they have released you, well such is life. Lol! I enjoy hearing Roland, Nirvana and The Camp’s name pop up through out your books. I like that slight connection with each read. It makes me smile. :) 6 stars across the board.
I was up to the wee hours of the morning because I could not put this book down. Reading a Lex C book is an experience you don’t want to miss out on. It’s thought provoking and soul searching. There’s a spiritual level that one can appreciate. Abram was a man that was truly his brothers keeper. Stepping up the way he did was something most won’t do. Cayman made me so mad but eventually he came to his senses. Little AB was so cute and wise beyond her years. Just the take time out to read this book, you will not be disappointed.
Abram is that man! Even as a teenager, he was so mature and wise. The love he displayed for La'Niya, and how he protected her, was everything! Ly, loved Abram from the beginning, but never told him. Cayman, Abram's brother, has some serious issues! I could not believe he did that to Ly, and then treated her like ish! Then great his brother too? He deserved every stomp Abram gave him! The love shared between Abram and La'Niya was beautiful, and I hated to see their story end. Great work! 👍👍👍
Abram & LyNia had a bond so deep nothing could come between them. Abram tied his soul to hers from the beginning. He was a provider and provided for the women in his life. Devin was a gap filler and not a very good one.Even Little Ab called him out. Cayman was so different from his brother and would do anything to keep his secret. The book hooks the reader from the beginning.
This was a very good book. I always knew it was more to the story because she was so angry .Cayman was a piece of work Nia was so strong cuz to be taken advantage of at 16 by someone you know who is supposed to care and love you only to become pregnant is alot. And ms.nia excelled.Abrahm was a real one and i am so glad she had him he is an example of what a man should be.I can't wait for an update on the cuz i need to see home baby number is and married life
OK, I was sleeping on this title in the beginning. I struggled with the almost lyrical writing, but I prevailed. And I’m so thankful I did! Abram was a true rider, like he was all for La’Nia. My heart hurt for her and all she went through out of loyalty for those she considered family. Wow, this was a good one, it really have my emotions all over the place - but in the best way.
Wow! This was an amazing story! An excellent read that had my emotions everywhere! I wanted to cuss so many times, I think I did. LyNia andAbram'' friendship was so real and their love was so passionate. I wanted to handle Caymen he lived on my nerves, but I sympathized with him in the end.
What a beautiful love story! What Abram and Nia had was a spiritual love connection. The author penned the story about faith, love, family and forgiveness. That IHOP scene with Abram and Baby AB made me shed a tear or two. Cayman just needed that butt kicking Abram gave him. Excellent job Lexi C. Kudos to you👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Kane and able storyline but with a happy ending. I liked how the way you get to read how the characters grow and how they mature toward the end—even forgiving a feeling that you honestly can't stand in the story. I love how the two main characters connect in challenging situations and how they both deal with situations as a team. Great read!
This is a good book mixed with love and family drama
This is a good book mixed with love and family drama but will love and forgiveness conquer all? You must one-click to find out what happens. It is well worth the one-click.
I loved the twist to Cain and Abel's story in the bible. Abram was definitely Cayman brother keeper stepping up to the plate and take care of his responsibilities this story was everything.
