OMG talk about a roller coaster of emotions! I've had my heart ripped out, I've cried, I've raged, I've smiled while my heart slowly tries to heal, all to have it happen again! Now I'm wiping tears and NEEDING more of Jackson and Harley's story.

Further and further we go into the turmoil and stress in the world of Harley and Jackson. The last scenes from the last book – the third installment was that of a wedding. One that perhaps would have surprised us two books ago, but one that we should have expected after we saw the results of the kidnapping. Harley’s parents get re-married in NYC with the blessing of Harley which is a nice change of things. At the ceremony, we also learn that Jackson has a ring in his pocket for Harley because even though they’ve only been together a short time, he knows that she’s the one.
So as a reader, i’m giddy to find out when the moment will happen and what will come in between now and then since you know nothing can be that easy. they don’t quite get their happy ending yet because of so many unresolved things with Parker, Sam, the lost money from the Ponzi scheme and so much more. Let’s table this for now….
In this fourth book, we watch Harley come into her own. She’s self-published her first novel and she’s actually seeing success as a result. People are buying her book and that’s giving her so much more confidence and inspiration to continue the story.
Jackson seems to have a bit of a plan on how to help out his company, until the worst thing happens….His past comes back to haunt him. and that doesn’t just break his professional life, he ends up breaking Harley’s heart as well.
We’re taken about ten years in the past to the starting point of Minetta, when Jackson is trying to find funding for his company and gets the suggestion from his mother for a bookie that they’ve worked with in the past as a result of his father’s gambling problems. Jackson gets a loan from a man named Andrew Liddell, and even though he repays the money in two days, he realizes that hes bound to this man forever. And that comes to haunt him in the present, when Liddell wants half of Minetta.
The story from here is bleak. Jackson breaks up with Harley and she doesn’t understand why. All she did was go into the wing of the house that Jackson told her to stay away from, but she thought that given the dynamic shift of their relationship, it was ok. Apparently not. So Harley’s heart broken, and it’s for a reason that she’s left in the dark about.
Jackson knows that she’s become a target for Liddell and pushes her away for her protection. Too bad there’s another target – Aurora, and she’s used as a negotiating tactic for Liddell to get what he wants. He pays Jackson $51M for 51% of the company and that takes us on a trajectory that’s down a black hole but potentially a good thing.
On the other side of this turmoil is Harley – she’s left desolate, not even really with the will to live. While Jackson gave her money after they split up, she’s not willing to take it. She wallows in her misery, not even writing and that’s really the only way that she can get her mind off things. She winds up sick, and learns that there’s more going on than just depression here -and that raises more questions and uncertainty for her and everyone to be honest.
We get another love story that runs underneath the main one now that Harley’s parents are married again. We get to see Julie find her prince charming and interestingly it’s in the form of Martin, Harley’s bodyguard. They start to grow a friendship while he’s in their studio continuing to protect Harley, and it’s the kind of relationship that Julie deserves. A man who is good and honest and wants to give her the world.
Where we net out in this story is a gunshot to the forehead, a relationship that’s on unknown ground and an assailant that we’re still not sure who it is. We thought Liddell got all that he wanted but maybe not? We still don’t know where Parker is and perhaps he’s back stalking Harley. We know that Sam’s out of jail and cannot be trusted….and we have a life in the balance ….again.

Out of the four books I've read of this series this one was the best I guess because it's cliffhanger really gave me ee butterflies sort of. Martin the bodyguard of Harley at the end of the work is shot in the centre of his head and he and Julie yet just fell in love and I am m feeling so bad right now I can't even explain I mean I need to read the last one I was anyway going to but now I just need to do it right now so bye
I just realised I didn't talk about the main characters of this book. this one was more dramatic but again the same problem it is good to imagine in the head but not that interesting to read but right now my mind is just around Martin who is shot in the centre of his forehead, lying on the ground with eyes open, blood streaming down his face. ohhh my God. I am feeling so bad for Julie, after having so many bad relationships she found the one and now he is dead I mean damn why do people have to die why can't the writer just you make the characters go through a serious injury and not just cut them off totally. I am sad and i am sorry I know this review is not that goodl but I just want to vent out and I am sorry bye bye

Oh my god this is a brilliant must read. What a cliff hanger to end the book can’t wait to read next book. Don’t miss out Charlotte Byrd is a brilliant author!!

An outstanding tale with a mesmerizing mystery: Can True Love Prevail?
Ending with an HFN (Happy For Now), “TANGLED UP IN HATE,” the fourth part of Charlotte Byrd’s TANGLED SERIES is another amazing character study within a “found my soul-mate” romance. In fact, the story is so focused on the feels of the characters and what time and circumstance put them through, I did not even notice the absence of the erotic STEAM for which Byrd is known until I began reflecting in preparation for writing this review! I have become so invested in Harley and Jackson and so focused on their plight, that I did not even miss the steamy parts, and that is a true compliment to Byrd’s writing skill. With all of the essentials that readers look for when selecting their next romance, Byrd’s prose is eloquent, easy to read and effortlessly weaves a web of new reality around a reader’s mind and emotions. A web so inviting and romantic that readers can’t help becoming deeply invested in the story unveiled on the pages of “TANGLED UP IN HATE.” The characters are well-developed, mostly (this is fiction) realistic, and easy to like and root for their future happiness. Even the character angst reflects the more realistic analysis of one’s actions and reactions rather than the repetitively myopic doubt that fills the pages of other “romance” manuscripts. I could even suggest that the need to go back and read the other three titles in the series is unnecessary; however, a reader’s emotional investment into Jackson and Harley may suffer without reading the first three segments of the TANGLED SERIES. Add to all of this Byrd’s ability to lull her readers into thinking a Happily Ever After is just around the corner when something sinister, evil and/or life-threatening shows up and the plotline turns on the dime once again! “TANGLED UP IN HATE” is absolutely phenomenal and has earned the best 5+STAR review! I STRONGLY recommend that you purchase your copy of “TANGLED UP IN HATE” today! Good news – there is more of the TANGLED SERIES to come!! Happy pages! 😉

Jackson and Harley's saga continues. When this book starts, she and Jackson are living together and happy in their love. Parker and his accomplice are behind bars and they no longer have to live in fear.
Then some of Jackson's past rears its ugly head. He borrowed money from some shady people to start his business years ago and so did his father. They now want to collect and Jackson knows they take no prisoners. He fears for Harley's safety so he breaks up with her in a very mean way. No explanation. Hurts her to the core. Kicks her to the curb. He wants her far away from him so they won't go after her.
Harley goes home completely broken. But she takes something with her Jackson knows nothing about. This story is so twisted and tangled you are weaving through it buckled for the ride! I loved it! This book didn’t start out anywhere like I thought it would. Blindsided right out the gate. The emotions run like crazy in this book. I want to scream at Jackson. Harley finally makes friends with Martin her bodyguard. They finally come to somewhat of an understanding. Harley goes through so much in this book that it’s gut wrenching. The ending is another cliffhanger that you don’t see coming. It’s so bad it will leave you in shock and grasping for straws. I was squalling after the last few paragraphs. This just can’t happen not now!!! Will this break Harley? Will she be able to overcome any of what happened to her. Her life seems worst than any roller coaster ride.

Charlotte you have out done your self on this one . I'm in a book funk so much now that this book came to a end and with a cliff hanger . I don't thing that you could fell the heart ach from characters' as much I have from Harley and Jackson. Harley has finally felt that she gotten back with her mom and see fells that her life might finally be on the path that she wants it with a great boyfriend and her writing ., Jackson has also been coming out his hermit tends all because Harley has been there to help him over come it ,but when part of his life comes to say bite him in the ass there happy go lucky lives are blow out of the water . I received this book for a honest review and I can say that this more than a five star and a must read this book in the series will tear at your heart strings .

The twists and turns keep coming as the emotional roller coaster that is this series continues. This is the fourth book in this series and these book need to be read in order. Also, this is book four of five, so be prepared for the cliffhanger ahead (and it is a whopper!). Jackson and Harley's romance is so intense and heart wrenching. As the story has unfolded there has been an enticing combination of drama, angst, heat, suspense, powerful emotions and mystery that hooks you quickly and leaves you desperately reading as fast as you can. I thought that this couple's chemistry was tangible and steamy and the emotional connection between them sweet and beautiful. Really eager for book five. By my own choice I am posting a forthright review.

WOW!!! Tangled up in Hate will have your emotions all over the place. Charlotte Byrd has done it again with this series, she will have you holding your breath wondering WTH is coming next. I loved the HEA's between Harley and Jackson, it gave the reader a better understanding of their struggles.. Nothing is as it seems with all of the danger, drama and secrets that surround these two, you will be kept on edge waiting for the end leading up to another emotional, sad cliffhanger. What will happen next to Jackson and Harley, how will all of this end? We will have to wait forTangled up in Love to find out. I voluntarily received an advanced copy of this book to review which I highly recommend.

OMG I can't believe how amazing this series is but I do because Charlotte is an amazing author and storyteller. I love the twists and turns in Jackson and Haley's story, It takes you on a journey of what love will do to protect that person even if it brakes them. This book is dark and full of heartache, sadness, loss and emotional pain. I couldn't stop reading it and when I got to the cliff hanger ending it was so sad that I cried because I was definitely not expecting it to end that way. I definitely recommend you read this series and you will not be able to put it down.

This is the fourth book in the series and the author once again delivers a winner! She does a great job building the story and pulling you in with all the twists,turns and mystery as well as the steam and sizzling romance. She brings intrigue and heartbreak and keeps you on the edge throughout. It's a dark intense story that captured and held me from start to finish. It's well written , moves quickly and smoothly with strong characters and an exciting plot. I loved and highly recommend reading.

Tangled Up In Hate Book4 by Charlotte Byrd
This is the continuing story of Harley and Jackson, I thought they were going to make a beautiful love story but I was wrong. I cried so much in this book four. Charlotte Byrd knows how to bring you in, hand on to your heart, and shake. Once I started this book four, I had to finish it. I just love the way Charlotte Byrd writes her stories, she always comes up with such interesting plots. This series has so many twists and turns, will not disappoint you. Can't wait for book five. I received an advanced reader copy and have voluntarily chosen to leave a review. This is my honest opinion.

Can we talk? The first three books of this series are out of this world. You know that you can expect a twist here and there. it's a very thin line between love and paranoia.
But, this book. It will have you so twisted up in your emotions that, you will feel like screaming into your pillow ( hopefully you wont wake anyone up), and hiding under the covers.
I am so eager to see what's going to happen to these two love birds.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. This series is just outstanding, you are on the edge of your seat just waiting for what coming next. You think you know, but you really have no idea what’s going to happen. Jackson and Harley will wrap you up and you will be turning page after page until the end. How far would you go to protect the one you love? Their story is dark and twisted, you definitely get all the feels with this book and the series as a whole, and the freaking cliffy OMG! I did not see that coming. Amazing read!!

Just when Harley thought things were going to work out and settle down for her and Jackson, he has to make a horrible decision. Keep her safe or keep her with him. When his investor and his dad's foe come after him, he does the only thing he can think of and kicks her out. Little do either of them know she is leaving with a present. He has to try to save himself and his company first, and then go for her. The cliffhanger is a whopper and I can't wait until the final book in the series. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

Poor Harley is yanked around again. She is finally at a point that her situation with Jackson has settled down. Unfortunately, his past investor and his father’s gambling sins. The “family” wants him to sell them part of his company. He needs her to not be associated with him to hopefully keep her safe. He picks a grievous argument with her and kicks her out. She goes home to her friend, devastated. Turns out she left with a gift. Now he is left alone to resolve this mess. Nicely written and another edgy episode.

I don’t even know where to begin, as my emotions are all over the place and I have a permanent shock face. This book was just as intense as the previous, but even more so. I ran the gamut of emotions and heartbreak with Harley. Felt her highs and lows and cursed Jackson myself at times. This author always manages to captivate me with her stories, titilate me with her words and enthrall me with the flaws and strength of her characters. Her books always entice me to keep reading and crave more and this book is no exception.

Oh my.... this is the 4th book in the series and ends on such a cliffhanger.
So so good but I'm crying.
This author is so good at putting you through the wringer. A moment of joy then at is all pulled away at velocity. So harsh but with such beautiful writing.
I need the final book now.
I am loving Jackson and Harley's story. The complex narrative, depth of plot and character detail has me engrossed from the beginning.
I highly recommend this book and series.

So so good but I'm crying.
This author is so good at putting you through the wringer. A moment of joy then at is all pulled away at velocity. So harsh but with such beautiful writing.
I need the final book now.
I am loving Jackson and Harley's story. The complex narrative, depth of plot and character detail has me engrossed from the beginning.
I highly recommend this book and series.

Yet another incredible and Fantastic story to add to this dark and delicious series.
Jackson and Harley can't seem to get off this rocky road of twists, turns and O. M.G surprises, you will not be able to tear yourself away. I was hooked and definitely tangled up in this unpredictable Romance.
It's an excellent read, Emotional and captivating a none stop page Turner, I Loved it and highly recommend it.

Damnashen! I need more....
Dark hard hitting tangled up twists that deliver an impact your never prepared for feeling the intensity and heartache throughout the storyline is impossible to shake and hard to swallow. Steamy thrilling chemistry. A definite must read that gives you all the feels and so more more in this dark demanding read that will be impossible to escape leaving you reeling with anticipation for a daunting wait to read more.

Epic
First let me say there’s a lot of story in this book. Many times when an author write a multi book series each book is novella length...this series is meaty. What Charlotte Byrd has gifted us readers with is a large slab of dark, delicious, chocolate and with each book we break off one block at a time. Also, Ms. Byrd doesn’t leave her audience hanging, having to wait years (hello Sylvia Day...) years to read a single book. I was thrilled to read this arc for a fair and honest review.

I voluntarily received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. Wow this series is just amazing. So many twists and turns it will have your head spinning. Charlotte has really out done herself with this thrilling series. She takes you on a roller coaster ride with this one. So many emotions it will have you crying, screaming with anger and happy. Love This series so much and can't wait for the next book to find out what happens. 💗💗💗

Charlotte Byrd delivers once again. This series is amazing. The drama, intrigue, passion, romance, and mystery are what make this series so epic. The characters and their relationships develop organically. The story line is amazing and fraught with twists and turns. I absolutely enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it.

The story grabbed you from the beginning and now it keeps you reading. Lots going on and so many twists and turns. Loved the chemistry of the two main characters and if you like dark stories, this is a good one for you. Can't wait to see where this one is going. Make sure you have read the other segments prior so you know what is going on.

Can't put down books
I left a review after reading reading the first book saying I was a bit unsure but found Harley and Jackson interesting. So glad I continued with their story. Just finished book 3 and can't wait to start book 4 Tangled Up In Love. It is such a good romance with lots of twists and turns that leaves you wondering what will happen next but most importantly how is this going to end.
Shall be reading other books by this author. Love the way she writes *****

Harley and Jackson meet in a very unusual circumstances, but it truly chances their lives. The instant connection of meeting Harley makes Jackson want to find her. This series is expensive and it could be much cheaper and doesn’t warrant the cost. The story is good but 4 of 5 books end at 85%. Would I buy again? Not for price I paid other books are better story content and cheaper.
