Gemma and Dan arrive to find Penny and Brian missing. Penny is Gemma’s closest friend and had invited her to her home. Dan arrived expecting to find his brother. What has gone wrong? Where are they ? Why have two normally tidy people left the place in such a mess? Could Penny’s words about the folly be a clue to what happened? Gemma and Dan are determined to find out what took place. Although she likes Dan, Gemma suspects he is not being entirely up front with her. What is he hiding? Can she trust him?
This is an entertaining read. The two main characters are likeable and the mystery of what happened to Penny and Brian, the secret of Westlea Bay and the folly keeps the plot moving steadily, until the end when the action is ramped up. Not a memorable, thought provoking book, but still a pleasant read that gently wraps itself around you and draws you in. A nice way to spend a bit of time.

A brilliant clever romance, adventure, mystery reminding me of the feeling of intrigue I experienced many years ago from Enid Blyton's adventure books. Far from childish but full of that wonderful air of mystery and an exciting plot. Highly recommended.

This is a very enjoyable, easy to read romance. But along the way there's a worrying mystery to be solved. It's interesting to watch how the relationship between the two main characters develops, and towards the end you might be biting your nails. Well worth reading!
