Aubrey thought she had it all. She got into the summer internship program at Royal Realms, which is like her favorite theme park ever. She’s working as a photographer which is her passion.
She didn’t think life could get any better. Then she walked into the princess room on her first day on the job and saw Lucy.
Lucy was having the time of her life. She got to play princess and make dreams come true every day.
She didn’t think life could get any better, until she saw the cute new photographer assigned to her room for the day.
It was love at first sight, but it’s far from sparkles and fairy dust for the princess and the picture taker.
Because Aubrey has some crazy people working in her department. Like a jealous coworker who doesn’t think regular workers should talk to actors. Or a supervisor who agrees with that unofficial bullshit rule.
It was supposed to be easy. Girl meets girl. Girl falls for girl. Girls have a whirlwind summer romance with lots of making out.
Can two girls still find love when their simple plan for summer lovin’ suddenly gets a hell of a lot more complicated than either of them could’ve imagined?
I really enjoyed this book, it was a sweet, cute whirlwind romance with HEA. There were some themes touched on that should have had warnings. Lots of diet culture speak, and there were some uncomfortable moments with creepy people. Aside from those things, the main characters were fun. This was an enjoyable read, I’d recommend it to anyone who has an itch for theme park Magic and loveable lesbians.
This is one of those feel good stories where the protagonists are so right for each other it is almost impossible to imagine that they wouldn't end up together. Mix in some fun geek culture references, a few theme park jokes, and a bit of steamy romance, and you have a very satisfying story.
Sweet HEA that is a little heavy on the princess theme -- though with a number of amusing observations along the way. There are also a number of film references for the movie nerds to try and remember along the way. An okay read.
Definitely good, but not her best work. Kinda has the same classic Mia Archer feel to it with the characters, tons of 4th-wall breaks going on, great characters and character development. The very end was a pleasant surprise.
