Luna Caruso has spent her whole life in Sparta, North Carolina, and finds herself drowning in memories best left behind, and a deadend job she can only wish to move up from. In need of money her newspaper column can't offer, she opens her attic up as a room for rent. Little does she know who will take her up on the offer.
Luna is thrown into a pool of self-doubt and madness when Damien Hyde enters her life as her new tenant. A series of dark, twisted events follow, unraveling everything she believed about her family and herself.
Rosetta M. Overman lives in Central North Carolina and got her start at writing for the public on the eBook community Wattpad. She is terrible at writing these biographies, but invites you to ask questions if you like.
Luna hasn’t had the easiest life. Stuck in a holding pattern after a bitter divorce, seven years later, she’s not entirely disentangled herself emotionally from her cheating ex, working at a dead-end job and has only her (totally awesome) relationships with her best friend and brothers for support. Then she takes on a new roommate, Damian, who may not be what he seems.
This was a story about self-discovery, about Luna uncovering the secrets of her past, including a painful history with both her parents, to discover her true origin story. I really enjoyed Luna for the fact that she was sort of every girl. She’d been through everything and was understandably jaded. Damien was delicious as the story progressed.
Delightfully done and an excellent addition to the “Game of Gods” series!

Damien Hyde moves in and unexpected events will happen with surprising consequences for her family and herself. Luna will discover secrets about her past including painful memories about her parents and about herself.
It was very interesting to follow Luna in her journey to learn more about herself, her past, and where she came from. The novel keeps you turning pages wondering what is going to happen next.
