Trees decorated, stockings full of presents, and another case to crack!
The Rowling family is gearing up for another Merry Christmas, and Mandy has her hands full with holiday prep, but how can she get into the spirit of the season when the victim in her latest case isn’t a ghost?
Twenty years ago, during a Christmas Eve blackout, Kevin Holt, the husband of a rich heiress, lost his memory in a fall down the stairs of their mansion. Now he’s discovered evidence that someone might have been trying to kill him, and all he wants for Christmas is to find out who. Since the resident ghost of the Holt house didn’t witness the attack, Rick and Mandy will have to rely on old fashioned sleuthing (and a little help from Mandy’s paranormal pal Jackie) to find out which of the four suspects is the culprit.
Meanwhile Rick has been saddled with novice investigator Cameron Gibson (call him Ace!) the son of one of USCAB’s wealthiest clients. Ace is trying to catch the creep stalking a New York City fashion model, but despite wanting Mandy to mentor him, one ghostly encounter has him seriously spooked.
A run in with a biker ghost and dancers in danger complicate the case, but the big question on Mandy’s mind is why does little Sophie want a bear trap for Christmas? Find out in this wickedly merry holiday installment of the Paranormal in Manhattan Mystery Series.
Paranormal in Manhattan Mystery Series Each book in the series is a stand-alone story, but your enjoyment of each story will be increased if you read them all.
Mandy, Rick, and Jackie are some of my favorite characters. I have followed, and enjoyed, their story from book one. While All I Want for Christmas is Wicked had an ok story line it was really hard for me to follow. All of the mistakes took me out of the story and made it really confusing. There are missing words, extra words, wrong names being used, and at one point what seems to be the authors notes to herself. ??? I may have gotten an unedited version, but I was unable to find an updated one.
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest! This was a great book ! There was so much going-on on this book. Mandy has another mystery on her hand. A ghost is afoot, but is it a real ghost or an fake ghost ? As always, Jackie + Sophie + Ricky are there to help Mandy solve the case. Loved the characters + the storytelling ! It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book! I can't wait for the next book in this series.
Another fun addition to the Paranormal in Manhattan series. Rick, Mandy, and Jackie (and of course Sophie!) are back and trying to solve three different cases. A case of amnesia, an arrogant PI in training, a stalker, and a ghost or two add to everything. Jackie even enlists the help of a few extra ghosts including a biker dude! A fun quick read.
I just finished the series and am looking forward to more. Interesting characters, and mysteries. I love jackie, she reminds me of good friend of mine. Anyone into this genre would enjoy all these stories.
A well-connected new PI tries to recruit Mandy, then asks for Rick's help on a case, and a 20-year-old case surfaces. This book focuses more on Rick and cases but it's still fun.
Three and 1/2 stars. This is fun, enjoyable read . Mandy , Rick and Jackie are back. There is just enough of Sophie. Unfortunately there were a lot of typos which distracted. I was given a free ARC by the author. My review is freely and honestly given
Mandy just can't get into the Christmas season feeling. Her latest case isn't even a ghost, but someone who lost his memory in an accident that might not have been an accident after all. Rick has his hand full with a new investigator who is the son of one of USCAB’s wealthiest clients, who can't handle ghosts very well. Then Sophie wants a bear trap...for what? Another great funny, light-hearted story by Lotta Smith! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this story.
This was another fun book. I love the relationship between Mandy and her best friend who just happens to be a ghost. Fun characters and a fun story line.
