One little mistake was all it took to land little Red in the hospital.
Red never thought his weekend project of assembling his new playscape with his best friend would lead to a broken arm, a quick ride in an ambulance, and the chance meeting with the man of his dreams. It’s too bad he’s not a Daddy. Well, Red can still hope, right?
All it took was one look into his teary green eyes and Nate was hooked.
While out on a routine call about a broken arm, paramedic Nate is surprised and intrigued by the man that so openly admits to his fear and pain. The fact that he’s cute doesn’t hurt either. When his partner questions Red’s decorating style and possible submissive tendencies, Nate is a little more than intrigued. Could he really find the intimacy and care that he’d always felt missing in his life with someone like Red? And what exactly was a little?
Join Nate and Red as they discover everything they need in each other.
WARNING: This book is intended for Adult (18+) readers. While not all books in this series will feature Age Play, Daddy Kink, or Adult Baby/Diaper Lover elements, this book does. I desperately needed something sugary, hence an age-play story with ABDL. This was indeed extremely cute and perfect for my mood, provided me with enough love. And this is already stated in the trigger warnings: „Fast Feelings, Sweetness Overload“ 🤩 Red is an amusing and very well fleshed out character.
“I have to stay the night. The ortha—orthodedic—orthathe—the bone doctor said I have to have surgery, maybe tomorrow if the swelling goes down enough,” he said with a pout, making what Dave said about him easier to see. “But after, I’m going to be a cyborg!” 🤣🥰🤣
I was initially on the fence about Daddy Nate because it's the first time for him, or rather he didn't know he identified as Daddy until he meets Red.
A cute button nose? When had that become a sign of attractiveness for me? Furthermore, when had cute replaced sexy in my dictionary? 🧐
And there was a scene with his partner that is a bit tainted with prejudice, but luckily it turns out to be curiosity and what had been a red flag became amusing. And I could really understand Nate and all my fears were gone. So, well written, it all flowed together perfectly and then stayed on the perfect little cloud for me.
I wondered how long Red was planning to snuggle with me. Leaning back slightly, I looked down and studied his face. He looked… content. I waited a couple more minutes and it occurred to me that he could literally spend hours in my arms and not get tired. 😍🫠😍
So why not a better rating? I don't know if it's me ... All these books have something in common, as soon as it turns into sex, suddenly it's all about that. That might be a bit of an exaggeration on my part, but unfortunately that's what is left at the end. Even though each scene is well written, really sexy and hot, the "pointless" stringing together is annoying. The story loses its flow, there are time jumps that didn't exist before and you don't get a good connection anymore. And that's just a shame. 🤷🏼♀️
This was a very nice age play book. It still bothered me that Red's broken arm wasn't that much of a hindrance as I would have expected, but overall this was still really sweet.
-------------------------------
Red breaks his arm when he’s trying to assemble his play set in his garden. And when hot paramedic Nate shows up, there is an instant connection.
When Red is spending the night at the hospital, his best friend Danny brings him his blankie and his pacifier so Red can sleep. And when Nate sees him like that, he figures out Red is a little (he also overheard Red and Danny talking earlier).
Nate isn’t turned off about the whole Daddy/little dynamic. And when he does some research, he thinks he might indeed be a daddy. And he wants to be the daddy Red needs, so he just has to ask the cute man out on a date….
I really liked how Red and Nate met and how they slowly got to know more about each other. I loved how Red was afraid the little stuff would scare Nate away, and I loved how Nate wanted nothing more than to take care of Red.
I do have to admit that sometimes I felt as if it dragged a bit. Mostly because they had to talk about every single thing. I'm all for good communication, but it can be a bit much at times.
One thing I noticed was that I didn't think Red's broken arm was handled all that well. I have an issue with books where a person is injured but then the injury is kind of forgotten. Red broke his arm and even had to have surgery. But he was never in pain and he just went about his days, while I would think he has trouble doing things because he couldn't use his arm. He even drove himself home after he got a cast. I don't know about the law in other countries, but here you are not allowed to drive a car with a cast on/broken arm. So those parts felt unrealistic.
The first book was definitely better. That one has more age play, more cute scenes where Marshall took care of Ollie. Here it was only at first, but then Nate and Red were either talking or having sex.
Still, this was an adorable book and I really loved Nate and Red together.
Really adorable. New author, and their writing was fine in the first book of the series, but it's even better in Fixing Little Red. Lots of interesting day-to-day details and I enjoyed the story... makes it so much better.
Definitely looking forward to the third book in this series.
I hadn't read any age play type of books before the first one in the series but after reading Ollie's book I had to dive into the next in this author's series. I enjoyed reading this and I loved Nate and Red's interactions, they are just perfect for each other. This was an incredibly sweet with no angst, perfect for a stress free read!
I have struggled with age play for a long time due to a Dissociative Identity Disorder trigger. It had to be done in a way that didn’t set me off. These books have helped me get past that trigger, because they are impossibly sweet and are written so well that the ick/trigger factor isn’t there at all. It really delves into the psychology of little space in a way I can identify with and appreciate. It’s sweet and sexy and totally angst free. I adore Red and Nate, and the characters from the book previous to this. And I’m invested enough to keep reading. Even if you don’t do age play or a little bit of ABDL, this is a good series to push those boundaries. I’m not gonna lie, I’m a little addicted. Izaia is good at what they do.
This started out great (paramedic MC yay!) But I really couldn't wrap my head around one of the MCs starting off with not even knowing what ageplay/kinks were to immediately mastering and being a daddy who can sense everything his boy needs. I wish there was more time and learning, or that the daddy wasn't new to the kink world to start off with.
4.5 stars The second book in this series was amazing as well. I enjoyed that while it’s also an age-play story it still felt quite different to the first book. Red is such a confident little, I like that he took time for himself to really understand what he likes and wants as a little. Also loved that Nate was so open to the thought of littles and I loved when he put Dave in his place when he talked bad about it in the beginning. Both of them were so confident in this relationship, it’s pure love. Overall this felt very sincere and cute and was beautiful and hot. Definitely recommended if you like age play books or are interested in reading about it.
This was a fluffy little story (see what I did there?). Red is a little that’s determined to build his new backyard play structure on his own with painful results. Nate is one of the paramedics that comes to his aid. I really enjoyed the painful meet cute. I liked that Nate didn’t immediately give up on the idea of dating Red when he realizes that Red is a little. They had some cute interactions at the beginning. I will say I thought it was strange that Red broke his arm in such a horrific way, yet he was never on pain killers. Heck, he was driving and doing normal things just a few days later! I’ve never broken a bone, but I can’t imagine bouncing back that fast.
I started to get a bit bored after a while. I kept reading, but the story started to lose its appeal. Of course, I’m going to read the next book. It’s about a secondary character introduced in the first book. I have my fingers crossed for that one.
Being real, I did have the same issue with this book as I did with the first. Red seemed to almost constantly be in little headspace. It’s just not exactly what I’ve come to expect when reading age play. I want the MCs to have some adult conversation every once in a while. Seeing as I have no experience being or dealing with a little, I have no real idea whether this is a realistic portrayal. It’s just not what I’ve come to expect. I guess it’s time I broaden my horizons beyond two authors. 🤷🏽♀️
Hmm... as with the first book, this was sweet and largely drama-free. I did lose interest a bit in the middle but I suppose only because we already met Red and Nate in the first book.
3.75 ⭐ It wasn't bad but I didn't enjoy it as much as the previous one. The dynamic of Red and his Daddy isn't one of my favorites in the genre either. However I like the world and the author's writing style. I'm interested in the next books in the series because I'm looking forward to the stories of the secondary characters 😍
A talented new author who writes feel good littles and BDSM similar to Carly Marie and Shaw Montgomery. Red is a sweetheart. He's afraid of people mocking him for all the little items in his house until he meets Nate.
Nate isn't a Daddy, yet, he's a kindhearted EMT, with good instincts, who finds himself drawn to Red's vulnerability and openness.
I really enjoyed Red's story. Izaia Winter's books are still a little unpolished -- this is the author's second book -- they could use another set of eyes for editing purposes. But the high ratings, and the large following Different Hearts has already garnered speak volumes about the author's ability to draw a reader in. I'll be buying more. 4.5/5
ABDL, Littles, D/s, H/C, Exhibition, Monogamy, DD/lb, Play Dates
Now this should have been book one. Red and Nate's story was more complete. Red explained everything that Nate should know about a Daddy/little relationship. Red seemed more natural in his little persona. Nate came to the party with fresh eyes and wanted to know everything there was to get his boy.
Loved the excerpt about "Serving Mr. Chamberlain" . Can not wait for it!
Little Red and his Daddy were adorable. The age play was done really well, and they just seemed perfect for each other. The editing in this was noticeably better than the first, though it could still have used a proofread, but it wasn’t enough to seriously detract from the story. I look forward to seeing more of the side characters get their own happy endings!
I just love Daddy and Little books and this is another cute story of a daddy and his boy and how their relationship grows. I adored Red and his Daddy Nate is just perfect for him . Loved their story !
What a sweet story of two men finding each other and fulfilling each other’s needs. Now this is my type of daddy boy story. Sweet, loving, exploring, beautiful. I loved these two. Loved watching them learn about their different sides, and how they completely fit together. This one was a swoon worthy story. And we got to see Ollie. So now I need to go back and read Ollie’s story. Writing was great, story was great, and side characters rocked. I just wish at the end we would have gotten to see some of the off page happenings
Nate: Paramedic Daddy Red: Author Little This book was so cute. I loved it. Red is the sweetest little and I adored him meeting his Daddy for the first time. Then when his Daddy visited him in the hospital without him knowing.. hehe. It led to some interesting conversations. Nate was open to learning about the Daddy lifestyle and I liked his friend (can't remember the name) but he was the other paramedic. Him and his sister were fun side characters. This series is really good so far and I'm loving these stories!! 🚑🚨🚑
Another little story. Red breaks his arm trying to build a play structure and the paramedic who comes to his house soon realizes he's a little and while at first is not sure, doesn't take him and his partner long to decide it's not too weird and for him to pursue Red. Again, not lots of angst. Red belongs to a club called the Church which he takes Nate to. There is lots of overlap in these three books with people at the club and the Daddy's in books 1 and 2 are friends.
So again, it was an okay read for me. I don't love these books in the sense I rave but it's been an extremely stressful week for me and these are easy reads that just let me escape reality. So worth it in that way even if not my all time fave theme.
Much as I said I didn't think this type of book is for me, I have read this one so many times and it's a comfort read and it set me on the daddy/little path. Our tastes change.
A nice book but I felt like there was a bit too much of a good thing with Red constantly being little. I needed to see his adult side, his responsible side. I get that the point of him being a little was to give it all to his Daddy, but I needed to see more than him playing with trains, coloring, or getting dressed in his pajamas. Even so, he was adorable.
Like the first book, this is pure sweetness and fluff. There’s no angst, no arguments, no disagreements. It’s just… happy.
I liked seeing characters and a friend group laced together over this series, and Red is adorable. I liked that he had established connections and a life (he was a romance novel writer) instead of having nothing to rely on. Makes characters feel more 3-dimensional. The pacing was a little quicker on this one because Nate hadn’t ever been into BDSM and here he was playing Daddy, but it wasn’t bad at all.
When Red breaks his arm while building his playscape in his backyard, the hot daddy paramedic who answers the call may solve more than Red's immediate problems. And within 24 hours, Nate, the EMT, and Red, aka Little Red, are a couple and Nate is investigating what it means to be Daddy to a "little."
Despite the insta-love aspect, I enjoyed this story. I think, in part, that's because Red is so sweet and fun-loving, and straightforward in expressing his needs. Nate is a good guy and spends all his free time learning more about daddy/little relationships so he can be Red's Daddy. It just all seems quite fast. I did enjoy their dynamic and the cast of secondary characters was varied and interesting, perhaps a setup for future books, and if so, I'm all for Carson getting his own little.
The author is fairly new and could use a good copy editor. Though I didn't let it affect my score, I would be remiss in not mentioning this, as I have friends who would go bananas over the invalid simultaneous actions, never mind the grammar and spelling errors.
All in all, this is a nice, light read for those who enjoy Daddy kink.
