Rey Daniels has taken everyone for granted since the accident left him paralyzed eight years ago. But when his brother, Spencer, passes out from exhaustion, Rey realizes it's time for him to man up and finally learn to do things on his own.

Finn Willers had to start playing parent at just eight years old, so he never really got to be a kid. More than anything, he wants a daddy of his own to love and care for him. When he gets Rey as a new patient, Finn knows he's found the man of his dreams, but flirting with Rey could cost him his job.

Rey doesn't want anything serious since he always manages to hurt the people he loves, but Finn might be exactly what he needs to turn his life around.

G.R. Lyons

G.R. Lyons stumbled into writing as a form of trauma recovery when traditional therapy wasn't working.

Then the story ideas just kept on coming.

Pulling from a vivid imagination as well as real-life experience as a trans man, a sexual assault survivor, and a person living with mental illness, Lyons has written multiple, interconnected series set within his fictional world of the Shifting Isles.

When not writing, Lyons can be found belly dancing around the house, studying anarcho-capitalist philosophy, buried in his never-ending TBR pile, or working out at the local CrossFit gym.

I feel like storm invaded their little bubble,
The author focuses too much on setting up storm for his own story that they almost brush aside our mcs moments that should be their own moment.

What an AMAZING story. The relationship between these characters is tough but working together makes it possible. Rey is consumed by guilt that he played a part in the car crash that killed his parents. His brother has been his sole care giver since the accident paralyzed him. He has survivors guilt and he's a former addict. Finn is a physical rehabilitation Nurse. He has taken emotional care of his family since his Mom died when he was eight years old. Read this story and see how love can concur any barrier that life puts in our way. I loved this touching well crafted story. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!!!

This was good, I just really don’t have any strong feelings about it. I think it would’ve done much better in a full story format. For a first time Daddy, Rey took to the role insanely well and there were zero hiccups. It was also Instalove to the extreme, which isn’t always a deal breaker for me, I just felt like it didn’t work here.

I am loving these.

I absolutely adore Finn and I’m so happy for Rey. He had to work so hard for his happiness. By doing so he gave Finn the strength to do what he needed to. A perfect example of a completely equal relationship. And yay Storm’s story is next. I’m so excited for that one.

Bucks Down

This was a great book! I wanted to know Rey’s story from the beginning, and it is sad, but this book is full of love and hope! Watching Rey come into his own as Finn’s daddy is very satisfying, as is seeing Finn finally get what he needs. Add in a sweet and accepting romance with an amazing HEA and you have a great story!

Good story with characters that seemed real. There were a couple of gaps where I wanted a little more but overall I enjoyed the story.

DNF @1% when I suddenly realized it wasn't contemporary, sigh. If the PNR had been disclosed in the blurb I wouldn't have downloaded it, since that's not what I was looking for.
