Mathew has been trained to be a lethal assassin since he was very young when his brother killed his father and Mathew runaway V train to Mathew wanted him to go and kill his brother Diego. If you don’t know how he felt about this but he knew he wouldn’t be down so he went to kill his brother. Diego was living with Wolf Lone Who is one of these biggest problems in life. But when Mathew went to kill Diego he got captured. Wolf would do anything to find out who sent him that Mathew wouldn’t talk and he was sent off with Rex one of Wolf bodyguards to keep safe until the next day. But something happened that night between Rex and Mathew that opened Mathew eyes to what he had been going through, being used by V. But what could they do now when V would kill him because he hadn’t killed his brother?
There was some thing really Cute about Rex. He wants to take care of Matthew. He can see what damage has been done and the attraction was very real. Their passion is off the charts it’s like they can’t keep their hands off each other. A good third book.
There was a lot going on in this story. I felt as if I was missing something. Was there a prequel or a first book that explained more of the background with Diego and V? Matthew and Levi? It was as if I was trying to catch up and while I could connect the dots so much was left unanswered for me. I enjoyed what I read though but felt there could have been so much more. I just saw on Amazon this is book 3. I wish the author had said to read the beginning books.

Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. V was looking to him, this was brotherly reunion of a lifetime was understandable, because only one was going to come out breathing. only one issues foiled his plans..Rex! Mathew was given one option to kill his brother, being forced to restricted contact with Diego for most of his life by his boss. Mathew missed his mark, now in the hands of the enemy. Instead of the torture he knew was coming, Rex lays a new element of work to breaking him apart for his Boss.
What do you do when your gangster boss tells you your long lost brother is next on the hit list? Matthew is told he needs to kill his brother Diego. Separated from Diego for many years, he has no choice & reluctantly sets out to do the job. Unfortunately he gets caught by Rex, Diego & Wolf's right hand man. Rex is to take Matthew home with him, while Wolf & Diego decide what to do with him. Instant attraction with a bite, Short, not so sweet, low to medium angst, HEA. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Matthew had been sent to unalive his brother Diego in this third book. When he got caught, Wolf had Rex take Matthew to Rex's home to get answers. This led to the two enemies to become lovers. Rex unexplainably immediately wanted the assassin for his own. Matthew, desperately alone and unloved, responded to Rex's desires. This novella has lots of rough and tumble, some steam but more blood. I received a copy of this through BookSirens and this is my voluntary opinion.
Wolf lives in a dangerous world with his lover Diego. When it gets a little too close for comfort, Diego's brother Matter is sent to kill him, they must deal with the threat and Matthew comes to find his match as well. A dark steamy story with danger and love in every chapter.

I really liked this story but I felt a was missing pieces of the story. I really wish I had known this before reading the book. But everything else about the book was well written and I really liked the characters.

Another enjoyable read from The Lone Family Series and Author Ace Fawe. This is Rex and Mathew’s story. It’s an age gap, first time, mafia romance. Rex is the personal bodyguard to Wolf Lone, Mathew is an assassin sent to kill Diego, Wolf’s boyfriend and Mathew’s own brother. Hesitating might be the best thing Mathew has ever done.
Mathew's boss, V, gives him a final test. He's to kill his own brother, Diego, whom he hasn't seen in years. Will he follow through with it or will he refuse the order?
The book is short. The characters are okay. The storyline could have been expanded a bit.
Again, another great concept but this was super rushed. The way they catch feelings for each other is crazy fast and kind of unbelievable. I think it would have been better if it was built up a bit more.
I received an ARC from Book Sirens for my honest review.
A fast-paced ride with some dark undertones. Reading the prior books in the series may add to the enjoyment but doesn't seem required. My only complaint is how short the book was.

Loved this dark story about Rex and Mathew. It's definitely my favorite in the series. The struggle for control, the power exchanges and the tension between these two men leapt off the page.
This book is really short. While it was alright I really wish it was longer. I would’ve like to more flushed out background for both Rex and Matthew. This book has potential to be more.
