1. Always cross the room to say “hi” to an acquaintance at a party. Yes, it’s awkward. Yes, there’s a chance they won’t remember you from last time you met. But there’s also a chance opportunities will emerge in organic conversation that would never reveal themselves otherwise.
2. Stop being afraid to fail. In fact, go the opposite way and decide to fail a lot. Try to get rejected, too, if at all possible. Because every successful person has really just been more willing to fail and get rejected than the average one.
3. Remember that even your biggest day is just… one… day. Try to relax and enjoy it, instead of trying to make it “everything.”
