Fuel yourself and others with positive energy—inspirational quotes and encouraging messages to live by from bestselling author, Jon Gordon.
Ever since he wrote the mega bestseller The Energy Bus, Jon Gordon has been sharing inspirational messages and encouragement via his talks, books, and social media posts. After many requests to create a collection of his quotes, Jon teamed up with his long-time friend, Daniel Decker, to create Stay Positive.
Stay Positive is more than a book of positive quotes. This book is a resource you can turn to each day for encouragement to help you take on your daily challenges, pursue your goals and dreams, and create positive momentum in your life. The power of positive thoughts is not about being Pollyanna Positive; it’s the real stuff that makes a proven difference in your perspective and life. After all, we don’t give up because it’s hard; we give up because we get discouraged. By fueling yourself with encouragement and positive energy, you’ll have greater power to overcome negativity, neutralize the naysayers, and conquer adversity.
Stay Positive is more than a phrase. It’s an approach to life that says when you get knocked down, you'll get back up and find a way forward one faithful step and optimistic day at a time. Start your day with a message from the book, or pick it up anytime you need a mental boost. You can start from the beginning, or open the book to any page and find a message that speaks to you. However you decide to use Stay Positive, it’s a go-to resource for anyone wanting to inject a healthy dose of positivity into their life.

I received this book as part of a gift basket from my administration and PTSO during the 2020 pandemic.
I'm not opposed to including God and talk about faith as part of your book on positivity, but as an atheist it really doesn't help me in any way. I know God and faith are big things in this country and it's uncommon in my area to have never attended church, but it's also not something that is a universal experience for all so I feel like this book should almost have a disclaimer somewhere that says this is from the viewpoint of someone who believes in God and that faith is a noticeable part of how they believe you can be more positive. If that disclaimer is on this book I didn't see it, but now that I know that Gordon and Decker are self help writers who put God into their written work I don't think I'll be reading any more of their work simply because it does not apply to my life and I know it will affect my opinion and overall enjoyment of their work.
I’m currently at a wrestling tournament, staying positive that they might turn off the air conditioning and turn on the heat… Anywho. This is full of great quotes and messages to inspire you. Not necessarily having to be read from front to back, the author says just open to any page and read the quote to get in a positive mindset. Because I did read it front to back, I did notice some repetition of the same quotes that would pop up in different fonts. So that may be where flipping it open to chance may be better.
Nonetheless, I found some really inspiring quotes to remember!
It's hard not to like anything Jon Gordon puts out - a breath of fresh air in a world of distractions and negativity. I've been sending some snapshots of these quotes to my kids for the past few months (and getting feedback on a few here and there). Some fantastic nuggets in here - reinforcing new ideas and timeless thoughts on positivity and optimism and the impact on your personal life and those around you.
As far as the content of the book, it was potent and powerful. The book was jam packed with great thoughts and it would have been great to be able to highlight them and share them with myself as reminders. I faced a multitude of challenges highlighting and sharing some of the memorable quotes, thoughts and ideas.
A current student recommended this book to me. It is a collection of quotes from many other pieces that Jon Gordon wrote. The quotes are inspiring, and I can see how it would appeal to many people.
The quote that resonated with me the most was "Rejection is often our greatest protection. Sometimes not getting what we want leads us to getting what we need."
I love Jon Gordon’s books and this was a fun read with different quotes from all of his books. The book was hard to read on my Kindle app, not sure why but the bottom of each page was cut off
This is an uplifting and inspirational book. It’s like a book of best quotes. It can be read in one sitting or if you are having a down day, open the book to any page to be uplifted and motivated.
Stay Positive is a delightful read filled with time-honored advice from Jon Gordon and Daniel Decker. Although I read the whole book, this is one that I will keep on my desk. There is a lot of value in picking it up each day, going to a random page, and reading the quote. We all need to work on being positive every day, and Gordon and Decker provide extra motivation to keep us on the right path.
