Fun paranormal mysteries introducing Lexie, a reluctant witch in training, and a host of support characters who make her life… interesting. Witch Lexie’s heritage has caught up with her. It’s time to face her obligations to the coven and take on a job she didn’t even apply for, one which leads her straight to danger where she tackles a deadly fog and a new penchant for sipping champagne and wearing haute couture. Witch Mackenzie Coven rule number one. Do not lose your cat. Lexie has been asked to attend a prestigious feline extravaganza at Chelsea Manor. The task is simple enough. Represent the coven, get herself and Luna, the cat which has as yet to decide if she’ll stay with her or not, there in one piece, meaning… no more crash-landing or leaving bits and pieces of Luna behind. Lexie figures the rest will be simple enough until she realizes she’s crash landed in a room with a dead man in it - a man who’d had a fascination for stuffed cats. There are only a handful of guests attending this exclusive feline soiree and they all have their eyes on Luna, but one of them also has blood on their hands. If they killed once, they’ll kill again. Witch Fool her once… fool her twice… This will be the third time... Lexie can’t believe she’s been roped into performing her coven duty. Literally. She’ll be on the stage, the one place she’s been avoiding all her life. If her abysmal acting skills don’t get her killed, surely mentioning the name Macbeth inside the revamped Garland Theater will. ***** Just lovely! Take one witch in training and send her to a mansion where only wonderful happy things happen..... but wait. There is a dark malevolent " being" that is controlling everyone and it is up to Lexie to dispose of it and bring peace and happiness back to the family. Quite a lot for a fledgling witch to handle even with invisible help. Ms. T ***** Even better than the first book! This is a fun series so far! Gonna get the next book immediately so that I can see what happens next. Funny situations and great characters kept me entertained to the end. Well done! Mickey ***** Another good, clean, FUN, magical adventure story I love the character development, the plot and the writing style. It is imaginative and very entertaining reading. I look forward to more. Patricia A. Parsons
This is such a great series,so well written, so much fun with lots of intrigue, mayhem, mystery and yes murder. The characters are all so vibrant and magical and colorful so quirky 🤪and zany well most you know there's the evil for the good team of witches, guardians and special paranormal detectives to go after and figure out what's happening or it wouldn't be a cozey murder mystery series but it's all done with such finesse (kind of). I couldn't stop at the end of the first tale I just had to know what kind of adventurous tale was in the second then next thing I knew I was turning the last page of the third, it was as though I'd magically absorbed all three in no time at all. But fewww it's time to turn out my light and grab an hour or three of sleep before the sun rises. Acquire "A MacKenzie Witch " collection 1 for hours of enjoyable entertainment 😀😄👌.Kat
At first I wasn't too certain about these books. The opening scene in the first book is kind of frantic and neither Lexie nor I have a clue what is going on. This is not my usual style of books that I like. However, I'm glad I continued reading. The pace of the stories is fast and there is still a lot that we don't know. The main mystery in each book is solved with the good guys winning but there's a lot of mystery to Lexie's past. I'm glad the next collection is available so I don't have to wait.
I like to read just before I go to sleep and keep a selection of light and entertaining books for just that purpose. These books fit that purpose perfectly. This collection of 3 books tells the story of Lexi, a witch who gave up her powers 10 years ago to live a “normal” life. Now her witchy powers are back and she must learn how to use them. It’s quite entertaining and I highly recommend it.
This collection includes the first three books of the series. They are combined in order and make for perfect reading time. About six-seven hours, so no waiting for the next story to be published and saved a few dollars too. The stories are interesting and definitely exciting as Lexie gets roped back into the Coven's business. Enjoy the fun!
In this first box set, you have magic humor and a great reluctance for Lexi to accept her role in the world of magic, a great read with lots of twists and turns to keep you turning pages a cat familiar with attitude, and a guardian who would rather not be. And of course, there's snark lots and lots of snark, and don't forget the supernatural murder, don't miss this set, Baz.
Very funny stories about Lexie a witch, a reluctant one. She is forced into playing in a play, Macbeth, that she has no interest in doing. Her mother, the High Chair has other ideas. This is actually the third book. The other 2 are also funny and she is drawn into strange happenings, by her cousins, who she can’t see. She can only see their orbs. If you like funny, witchy stories, read these 3 books.
Really good collection of the Mackenzie Coven Mysteries
I enjoyed reading this collection of the first three books in this series. They were fun to read and the characters worked well together. I would recommend this collection, who enjoys cozy mysteries featuring witches.
Very quick reads with cute characters. These would have gotten more stars if it weren't for the choppy writing style (she's sitting on the couch then suddenly walking out the door) and glaring errors (punctuation, wrong words used: ceasing instead of seizing).
A very enjoyable set of cozy paranormal free standing stories. I think something would be lost if not read in order but still do able. Quirky characters who are not always willing participants to solving mysteries. Overall an easy, enjoyable read.
I love the Lexi character, she gets her self in such predicaments! She is getting stronger all the time. Im looking forward to more of the Mackenzie families adventures.
Cute characters, interesting plots, witches and ghosts. Light easy reads perfect for relaxing. Family dynamics are in play. Why are all the heroines in these books so clueless, bumbling and unprepared
I enjoyed these books. They were a wonderful quick read with interesting characters that were fun and for the most part light. The lack of communication between the cousins only intensified the craziness.
This collection shows the deepening relationships between Lexi and Luna along with the other characters amidst great world building and some very intriguing interactions.
