*THIS IS A LENGTHY SAMPLE TO AN UPCOMING NOVEL* Zoovier Banks never thought he’d find love because he’d never seen it up close. His mama was a rolling stone, and his pops was a player. He thought he’d be doomed just like them until he laid eyes on Zahara. It wasn’t love at first sight, but it was love after the first in-depth conversation and love at first touch. After one night together they were locked up. Their sudden leap into a relationship has Zahara scared shitless. Unlike Zooley she had witnessed love in the true form of her own parents, but even their love came with trial and tribulation. She vowed she’d never be the girl who put up with anything in the name of love, but that was easy to say before she actually found a love of her own.
Once again this author doesn’t disappoint. I read this in one sitting and mad it ended. The storyline and writing was A+ Zooley and Zahara had their ups and down but got through it better than ever. Another 5 star read. I can’t wait for her next book.
Lots of grammar errors. The story was just okay nothing to it. I loved the Zahara stuck to her guns and cancelled Zooley. Create more characters like her!
Wow! Whoa! And double WOW.... This was sooo good! A tad too long and dragging but still good!
First time reading this author and I already read about her, clicked on the follow icon and check out her other books which I have yet to decide which one I will be reading next, because she bought the house down and put her whole right and left foot in this wonderful story. Zahara was truly a wonderful girl. Although a tad young, hence immature at times, but she was overall a wonderful heroine and a great representation of these youngsters out here. Young, strong, educated and very independent, loyal and protective are just a few adjectives to describe her. Zoovier "Zooley" was bae and bae and bae. A little bit alpha on him but really more boss man, and teddy bear than ruthless. Compassionate, strong, loyal and also rebellious, he was THE man out here. This story was so cute and so different. Although we still had the thug, king pin, boss man, and alpha, we also had the compassion, family over everything mental, loyalty and respect all wrapped up in one. Few things kind of threw me off, such as: 1) how does it that Zahara could speak to Sage, but Zooley never once spoke or visited his dad or his brother? Was that not possible? 2) did Zooley ever found out what Darnelle did to Zahara? And if so what did he do? 3) what truly was the problem with Zora? And finally 4) why did it take them all that time to reconcile. If truly some was wrong with this story, is that it was a tad too long and too dragging. That said, it was truly nice to see that Karma still doing her thing, from Keri, to Shana, to Katt, and even Darnelle (who by the was not too good of a rebound) but nonetheless, karma did her thing. Sage, Rose and Calla were so cute right along with Zanae, Madi, Zane, Mason, and even Mishae. A wonderful support group even Johan and Diamond. Just a true and beautiful story...
This story was really good. I love it when I see a book over 200 pages, nowadays that’s hard to come by in this genre. So with that in mind I knew this wasn’t going to be a rushed book. I like the fact that the author took the time to develop the two main character’s relationship. Nothing felt rushed and we saw the ups and downs of their relationship. The main female character did get on my nerves a little. She was immature at times and some of her decisions didn’t make sense. But I had to remind myself that she was a teenager. I will say the sample I read I was into it and couldn’t wait to read the rest. Once I started where I left off when this book dropped the excitement I had when reading the sample wasn’t there. I think that is just due to reading a big portion of the book and then having to wait to finish it up. I think I’m just going to wait it out next time and not read a sample and just wait for the full book to be released, so I can get the full experience without any interruptions. But still a great book and will be waiting to see what’s next from this author.
All we got displays loyalty, love, hate and hood rat sh*% with my hood rat friends lmao! I just wanna say before I began that Juri and Benji will always be my fave (bias) . Next would be Noel and Tamia. Okay so Zooley has the heart of gold. I loved how his character displayed loyalty and respect (minus a thing or two lol). Zahara was so strong and mature for her age. Of course things happened; but one thing for sure is that her and Zooley share the love for their siblings. The supporting characters were entertaining as well lol... Now I do have questions like why wasn’t the ( incident) with baby girl and Derell explained more? It seemed brushed off.. Also , didn’t really care for the POV of Mardi Gras when we knew what happened based on other books. BUT this book was good, check it out. About 2 /3 couples I wouldn’t mind be up next for their story. Keep em coming!!!!!
Cion has been getting better and better with each book in terms of quality I can see the growth. I expected this book to be good and I wasn’t disappointed. Now, was it worth getting 1/3 of the book back in November then having to wait 3 months to get the remaining 2/3?? The jury is still out on that but it definitely takes away from the reading experience. I’ve said in the past, but never fallen through, that I won’t read another sample by Nicole J. nor Ms. Lee and afternoon this lengthy wait I’m definitely over the whole sample first thing. I would rather they just do a part I and II released at the same time so they still making the money from two releases and keeping their fans happy bc at the end of the day the fans are what it’s all about or should be. Good job with this book and can’t wait for the next FULL release.
Another great read by Ms. Lee. I liked that there was a lot less toxicity within the H/h's relationship. I really liked that Zahara didn't stand for, or fall for, any bs treatment from Zooley. There love was a lot less complicated than the others.
The only things that I wish is that Zooley had found out about Derrell assaulting Za, and the epilogue hadn't jumped so far ahead. Considering how long the previous books were, it seemed like Z&Z's story was cut short. It's the only thing that caused this to not be 5-stars for me.
Lastly, I wish that better editing was a priority. It's quite a lot and can be distracting, but I don't consider it for my reviews because everything else is done well. At this point it's the only negative with this authors catalog, and she's doing her craft a big disservice because the writing and story telling are bomb. 💣
I almost didn't read this because I'm so all over the place with the order of books, but I am so glad I did. Zooley is the man. No way around it. And knowing him from being g a baby to a grown man just made me love him more. I loved the relationship he established with Zahara and even her sisters. He's such a protector and provider. Zahara's family is so trash. But the jealousy wouldn't let them be great. Cion Lee is a beast at character development. You really get to know her characters on a personal level and the way they think, act and react makes sense in the book even if it doesn't in real life. I really enjoyed this journey and look forward to learning more fro. The rest of the crew.
This is my first book from this authoress and I was very impressed. Being from New Orleans, the locations in this book brought back a lot of memories. This book kept me on the edge of my seat until I got half way though the book where I felt as though the book was being rushed. However, this book had me feeling all kinds of emotions. I laughed, cried and then got upset at some of the characters. Also, the names, oh my God that’s another story. I would have given this book 5 stars, but when the book got rushed there was a lot of errors like missing words and etc. Salute to this young Queen and I’m looking forward to reading more from this authoress.
I normally don’t leave reviews, not because I don’t like the book or that author. BUT this book had me from the 1st page it also helps that this young beautiful author is from my hometown and she was very knowledgeable about places people and language used in NOLA. Shout out to my HOOD 9th Ward Desire!!! Thank Cion for penning a beautiful love story of everyday couples and the struggles they go through when one chose to not tell the truth. I would LOVE to see more of Zane and Sage as well as the younger siblings on both sides!! Keep up the amazing storytelling.
Zahara has a lot on her young shoulders. She's responsible for her three sisters and that isn't easy with the loss of there parents living with an aunt that only sees them as a paycheck she must make a way for her and her sisters. Zoovier is the man in the streets he's does what he wants. Zoovier and Zahara 's meeting wil mean big changes for them and everyone around them. Can there love see them though 😍. As always it was a pleasure Cion good book.
This is Cion’s BEST work ❗️❗️ This is the seventh book I have read and she just get better each and every time . She has what I like in author’s craft for it to get better & she doesn’t disappoint 🥳 I love the fact that her books are so relatable . I was so in tune with Zooley And Zahara from start to finish ❗️ I was there for highs and lows , this rollercoaster was WORTH IT 💕 xoxo NIcolette
Man that darn Zoovier aka Zooley was everything. He made a bad judgement call but he didn't have bad intentions. I don't think lol. Zahara was immature at times but she stood her ground and that made them better then ever. I hope we get some more stories about the siblings. I can see them coming. This is my first read from this author but I know it won't be the last. Definitely going through this author catalog.
I really liked Zooley until he lost his mind with that girl Katt. Thankfully he came back around. I love how he did for Zahara and her sisters. And how he sent a team of girls to fight Keri and her cousins. I love how hard Zahara went for her sisters. She deserved a man who would spoil her. As usual Tremesha and her miserable daughters were awful and I enjoyed every time they got dragged.
I read this book in under 24 hours. There was no major plot just two people navigating a new relationship and it was amazing from start to finish. Cion Lee is so good at wrong realistic story lines and dialogue. I’m always laughing and engaged with what’s going on. Zooley and zahara put the T in toxic baby!! They were a mess and I enjoyed every minute of it. I’m so glad Zahara made zooley chest hurt for playing with her.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
So this sample was so good, juicy and spicy AF!!! Cion knows how to write a book. Every body know BENJI is my bae but why’d she make Zoovier like my real man too? He calls me baby girl and I’m loving him!!!!! So now we have Benji & Zoovier as my book husbands because they’re so much like my man it’s crazy 😩🥰🤤
This book sample was too good to put out there like this!! Clearly a 5 and even though this author's other work is good this book is showing a more mature character involvement. This is author is growing in her craft and I'm here for it. Great read.
We All We Got was nice slice of life love story. Zahara and Zooley characters were well developed. They represented real everyday people. I really appreciate the choices the author allows them to make. If you’re a romance fanatic like me, then you’ll enjoy this story.
This is one of my favorite books because he didn’t mind showing her how much he was feeling her from the beginning. I liked how each family took to each other. I need a Sage/Zane spin-off that story would definitely be it. Even mason and Rose would be cute. Great job love all your books!!!
It was a good read. I can’t say if it’s the better one out of the couples just yet. Zahara got on my nerves a great deal but I have to chalk up to her age. I honestly feel like her and Zooley was just missing something. She was a great sister I give her that. Now I’m On to the next.
Awesome series You get to see how everything started with all the couples and even the rest of there families as well..
Only thing I didn't like about this was it kinda dragged a little but I understand because in between the main character there families had a lot twist in this as well. Now I'm on to next I'm about to see what is about to happen with Sage & Zane
This was so good from beginning to end! I loved Zahara!! She wasn’t naive, easily persuaded, weak minded woman. She knew what she deserved, and she stood in business. I loved her and Zooley’s story. Their chemistry was great! I’m glad there was no cheating involved despite Zooley’s stupid decisions. Anyway this was a great read! 4.5/5 stars.
I’m already so entranced with Zooley and Zahara! With Keri and now Katt lurking I know it will cause some hiccups as well as the age difference. I want to see Zahara and her sisters win at life. Excited for the full length novel.
I loved Za and Zooley. Great story. Cion is really one of my favorite authors she never disappoints. Looking forward to reading more from some of the other characters in her stories.
I like how characters find love where they least expect it. Zooley had doubt about messing with Zahara because of her age but it turned out to be blessing. I'm glad they were able to overcome their problems and get a happy ending.
I truly enjoyed Zooley and Zaza’s love story. Their relationship was hard to understand but it’s just something you admire. Would like to get updates on each of their siblings in the future. Bomb story.
It was my first time reading a book from this author, i really enjoyed the story line the only problem was the grammatical errors. Other than that i wouldn’t mind checking out other works 👍🏽
Let me just start with I love when the main female character is not dumb! Zahara was pretty, educated, and she got her own money ! I love that she was smart and stood her ground! Zooley is bae bcs he changed for his girl ! 5 star book
