Reasonably Thin: The Spiritual Aspects of Over and Undereating

Rate this book
Find Freedom from the Tyranny of Food and Dieting and Become the Weight that is Reasonable for you

You've tried every diet on the market. You even count calories and monitor fat grams. It seems like that's all you think about. But are you concerned with your weight so much that it prevents you from being all that God intends you to be?

Dealing with extra weight in your Christian life takes up your time, robs you of your joy, and affects your effectiveness. Yet, even in the Garden of Eden, people "abused" food and were tempted to use it for purposes other than God intended: nourishment. Whether you are constantly dieting, over — or undereating — you're eating destructively. Reasonably Thin will help you understand how to accept God's power in this area of your life and win your struggle with destructive eating.

Reasonably Thin takes you step by step through the process of making this area of your life bring glory to God. Beginning with your thoughts, feelings, and then behaviors — Reasonably Thin teaches you to change from the inside out rather than the outside in.

No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, Jesse Dillinger invites you to share the experience of soaring beyond dieting, and learn to live free from the bondage of food. Then and only then, can you become and stay reasonably thin — the weight that is reasonable for you.

Wonderful book, the principles not only apply to eating but to self control, and the exercises are insightful and easy to do. Great reminder also for my social media and internet use. Slight repetition of the topics in a few chapters but wonderful in general.
