I loved this book. Because it’s a local author, it has local landmarks, and even though many landmarks have been renamed for the book, I can put myself right into the book. I love her writing! Now I have to wait for her to write another book!!

Sergeant Corinne Aleckson and Detective Smoke Dawes are back with another excellent tale of murder in rural Minnesota. The relationship between Corky and Smoke has heated up adding much to the story. I've missed them and I'm so glad Christine Husom is writing again.

I enjoyed this book, though I've not read others in the series. I did think she wrote past the ending with (at least) one too many B-story lines. Perhaps if I were more invested in the lives of the characters, it would have mattered more to me.

A new to me author. This book ranks among the top mysteries I've read in a very long time. The angel of death is elusive and daring and exploits another to assist with their twisted sense of righteousness. Fortunately, some top-notch detectives are on the hunt for a serial killer whose burial ground was uncovered by accident by the road crew. This may be the first of Christine Husom's books I've read, but it was so intriguing, it surely isn't the last. Don't miss this one if you are a fan of the mystery genre!

This mystery kept me "on the edge of my seat"! I worked for twenty years in elderly care - through agencies as well as private duty. So I know the bond that develops between a patient and the caregiver. I caught myself urging the law enforcement to hurry and figure out who the angel of death was and put a stop to the murders! I will definitely be reading other books by this writer!

I enjoy reading Christine Husom's books. She is a local author from Buffalo, Minnesota. Her brother is a good friend of my husband. She worked for the Wright County Police Department for many years.
