Joel is both excited and frustrated because he has been called for a third audition for an excellent part in an excellent play. However, because he doesn’t have any subway fare, he faces the daunting walk uptown and is afraid that he will arrive grimy and sweaty. His luck quickly changed when a strange subway token dropped beneath his feet. Although Joel gets to ride the subway, he doesn’t realize what he’s getting himself into when the train crashes in the tunnel. Now it’s a struggle for survival, a test of his character, and ultimately a realization that Joel, as well as his newly met friends, are in for a journey as they decent into an unknown frontier.
