Great anthology

As always I love anthologies, so I had to have this one. It allows me to get to know new books and authors I would probably never know otherwise.

Review for Reaper's Last Homecoming.

I was so enthralled by this world and the different characters. I haven't read the novels set in the same world, but this novella made me put them on my TBR.

This novella is told from the main character's POV and takes us to a world where different myths mix together effortlessly.

I really loved the plot and the dynamic between the characters and I was actually bummed out when I finished reading. I'm a bit over paranormal books in general, but this novella was an incredible way to introduce me to a series I will most likely love.

This anthology takes it in Halloween vibes and I kinda like it. I love how it introduces you to new authors and some authors that I loved for years now and they do not disappoint in that department. Bee Murray wrote Reaper's last homecoming. It's set in a world that I haven't read any books in but nevertheless I liked how this story goes. I love the paranormal books and the only thing I really wanna say I wish it was longer! I also dove straight into Resting Witch Face and it does come with a trigger warning since there is mild torture there. Great for a Halloween book but for some it might not be the best idea. The guardians come closer to Astra and the question in this one is let them come closer or not? What will she do? Great read. It also must be read in conjunction with Hindsight's a Witch because they crossover.

Specifically reviewing Bee Murray's entry to this compilation - Reaper's Last Homecoming.

I loved reading this novella in the Underworld Hijinks Series.
Kyrie, our sassy lead, has found out a Hell of a lot about her family heritage in the last six months, now all she wants to do is finish school.
This badass heroine makes me wish I could live in her world, angels, demons, stunning wings, flight, learning to fight, it's all in there.
Hot hot hot men, a job to do, and a ghost thrown into the mix just for fun.
You'll love this adventure, so dive in and reap the words on the page.
Happy Scything!

Reaper’s Last homecoming – Bee Murray/Wicked Souls
I am a fast fan of this author. Bee Murray writes steamy hot with laugh out loud scenes all within the same breath. I never know when a one liner is going to come up smack in the middle of a really sexy moment. Kind of keeps a reader on their toes and I love that about her writing!

Our FMC Kyrie is a uni student in her final study year. She is also of a paranormal linage, so she has been tasked by her Uncle Des (aka Hades) to take on Reaper duties. She has been assigned some help to train up for this position in the form of one Angel, Santos and one Demon (a Hellhound actually) Dmitri. Both Heaven and Hell are beautiful males each with an instant attraction to Kyrie and the feeling is mutual. The final male to complete this RH is Thane, Kyrie’s ex-boyfriend and now semi corporeal ghost.

The story is fast paced and full of laughs and intrigue. There are a few heavy yet poignant moments between Thane and Kyrie but they are necessary to the plot of this story. The steamy scenes heat the pages up and we have the usual fun combinations that we can only get in an RH book, making this an 18+ read. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Four stars.

I received this book as an ARC, and this is my honest review.

There are so many great authors in this anthology that I just knew it was gonna be a great boxset and boy is it! First one to read was Skyler Andra who’s book is called Resting Witch Face and has the characters in her current series Guild of Guardians. Exciting and very addictive, I look forward to reading ore from this series.
Lacey Carter Anderson and May Dawson’s book called True Monsters, another great read and a fantastic collaboration!
Sexy stories, intriguing storylines, entertaining, funny and incredibly addictive! A must read boxset!

When I saw the list of authors for this set I knew I had to read it because they are all my faves. I was not even remotely disappointed as each one gave us a story that will keep you turning the pages. If these are new authors for you then I highly recommend you give this a try. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

This reverse harem anthology has so many great Authors contributing to it, that it is absolutely worth buying. It will also give you a taste of Authors you may not know yet, or wanted to read their work but haven’t taken the plunge.

The story I’m going to review is the “Lost and the Hunted” by Grace McGinty. If you haven’t read Grace’s work yet, you are in for an absolute treat. This author is so incredibly talented and has the ability to successfully write so many different romance genres, that she has now become one of my favourite one click authors. If you enjoy reverse harems, then I highly recommend that you read some of her other stories, they are seriously addictive.

In terms of this story that is featured, “Lost and the Hunted”, she has included the whole of book one in this anthology. This is a paranormal reverse harem that crosses over other contemporary romance genres that should appeal to many readers. The story revolves around Celeste and Reese. Being a Reverse Harem, there will inevitably be other contenders, but as I wish to write a spoiler free review, I’m just going to let you discover them for yourself. What I will say is this, there is romance, action, decent background of characters, friendship, mmf and sex scenes.

To quote Grace McGinty “That cliffhanger was brutal, right? Don’t worry, The Lost and the Hunted - Book Two is due to be released any minute now.” Believe me when I say, just go and order book 2, even before you read the story in the Anthology, because you’ll want it, trust me! Since it will be released very shortly after the Anthology, Grace has graciously cushioned the impact of the cliff hanger that this story ends on.

Thank you to Grace McGinty for allowing me the absolute privilege of reading this ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this story and giving an honest opinion.

A collection of reverse harem stories by various authors for the spooky season. I did originally pre-order this one for Dig the graves by Joely Sue Burkhart but it’s not in there. Still some good stories and new authors to look into.

Average 3 stars.

1)Her masks by Rebecca Royce and Ripley Proserpina. Interesting start with a escapee and three guys. Got a bit too sci-fi for me with the time travelling clones. 3 stars.

2)Tricked by Mila Young. Pretty much a prologue for a new fairytale retelling of the elves and the shoemaker. Three guys. Elves vs Orcs. Fast paced awakening chaos. 3 stars.

3. True monsters by May Dawson and Lacey Carter Anderson. A wife trying to run from her abusive husband finds three vampires. I liked the guys. Felt like a prologue to vampire troubles. 4 stars.

4. Thieves of fate by Ophelia Bell. Felt like a character epilogue/second chance for Benedetta in the fate world, so plenty of spoilers. Three shadow dragons. Plenty of M/M/M.I liked it. May even get around to reading the start of the series. 4 stars.

5. Frightful beginnings by C.R Jane. Another series continuation from the Fated wings world. Eva and her three guys enjoy Halloween, whilst Eric plays stalker. Spoilers I guess. I have no idea who the characters were. Seems like an interesting series. 3 stars.

6. Resting witch face by Skyler Andra. Another one that’s a continuation, from the Guild of guardians, Astra and the guys are forced into a mission. Four guys, prison romance, a bit of M/M. Torture and group sex. 3.5 stars.

7. Her curse by Katherine Bogle. Sequel to the Silver shifter series. Ariana’s first Halloween with her four mates in a haunted house. The multi-shifter thing was interesting, May read the first book. 4 stars.

8. Awaken by Monica Corwin. A woman trapped in a hotel room with an ex, best friend and a prince. Add a magic drink and it’s pretty much sex. I liked the characters and it was fast paced. Bit of M/M. 3.5 stars.

9. Her wolves by Margo Bond Collins. I liked the writing style and I liked the characters but romance wise the whole thing felt clinical. Marriage or death. Choose between three wolves within three days, seperate ceremonies and Sienna throwing the L word around. Open ending for a continuation. 3 stars.

10. Reaper reborn by Serenity Ackles. On the way to a Halloween party the wrong soul is reaped. Open ending but wouldn’t mind more. Neva is a strong character and I liked how she and Tanner are. With the guys it’s pretty much insta lust but it was fun. 4.5 stars.

11. Stealing magic by Maggie Alabaster. Robin Hood the paranormal version with shifters and wizards. I enjoyed it. It was fun and the characters were entertaining. 4 stars.

12. Catrina by Tiegan Clyne. Justice/revenge story. Three guys. This one made me uncomfortable. The fiancée felt like the only permanent character, the cop a maybe and then the one that’s there because of fear. 2.5 stars.

13. Everwood academy by JE Cluney. From the title I knew it was academy but still found myself a little disappointed. I loved the beginning with the unknown shadows and then it got pretty normal. I liked the guys and how innocent and caring they were. 3.5 stars.

14. Something wicked by Caia Daniels. Not for me this one. Some sort of sequel. Really short and pretty much a little kink orgy. 2 stars.

15. Millwood Academy - The beginning by Tanya Dawson. Prequel. Short, focused on one guy. Sounds interesting but not one I’ll likely read. 3 stars.

16. Idol threats by J.S. Lee. Spoilers for both the H3ro and Onyx series. A lot going on and the drama doesn’t seem to end. I liked the MC , though she is working herself to death and I liked the guys. I’ll definitely be reading the main series. 4.5 stars.

17. The Devil’s lantern by Niobe Marsh. Following a lantern to become the devil’s bride. The mc had more than a chip on her shoulder but couldn’t help but like her. Three guys and chaos. 4 stars.

18. A hunter’s moon by Dana Lyons. Three hounds, their mistress and punishment. It was a quick origin story that I liked. The punishments were haunting and I loved them. 4 stars.

19. Demon stalked by Ann Denton and Katie May. Sequel to Demon kissed and the demons are trying to woo Kat. As expected great fun. Plans going wrong and no words for Akor. 5 stars.

20. The lost and the hunted by Grace Mcginty. A snow leopard finding somewhere safe. Contains m/m. Three guys and a cliffhanger. I liked it. Will have to see more from this author. 5 stars.

21. To creepy with love by Morgan Jane Mitchell. Nope. Zombies, rapists and murderers. I liked Arlo but the story annoyed me and ends pretty abruptly. Not one I’d continue. 2.5 stars.

22. Witching hour: The stroke of three by AJ Mullican and Elle Ryan. The red witch and her three guys on a countdown stopping a self destruct sequence. Part of the Abnormalverse so no clue what was going on. Bit too much sci-fi for my liking but the telepathy and ghosts was interesting. 3 stars.

23. Reaper’s last homecoming by Bee Murray. A reaper, hellhound, angel and ghost. Spin off from Underworld hijinks world. Will have to read the first book. It was fast paced and fun. 4 stars.

24. The dragonshadow princess by KM Mckenna. A kidnapped princess, three guys and a binding. Pretty short and felt like a prologue. It’s one I’d read. 3.5 stars.

25. A weekend to remember by Eden Rose. Vampire wife swap. Didn’t feel RH to me and Jill was really uncomfortable with the whole thing. 3 stars.

26. Bloody Halloween by Anna Santos. Vampires, reincarnation and stopping an attack. Sequel to Vampire possession. Contains a bit of f/f. I was more interested in Dom and Susana than Emily. 3 stars.

27. Alpha magic by Amelia Shaw. Three friends cast a spell for soul mates. Ruby and three wolves. It was a cute story with a lot of questions left open. Didn’t like Jackson. 3.5 stars.

28. Her protectors by Faith Summers. A witch is saved by three lycans. Didn’t like the sister. Other that that sweet story. 3 stars.

29. Roots and gerunds by Edeline Wrigh. I didn’t get along with this one. Merlin, Isaac and Nick, a love spell and the philosophers stone. Not much going on and everyone seeing into the future, so no surprises. 2.5 stars.

I had originally picked up the anthology due to the authors Grace McGinty, Mila Young, and Lacey Carter Andersen who had all written a few fantasy reverse harem books that I had enjoyed previously. The original advertisement had also included Joely Sue Burkhart, but it turns out that the copy did not actually include a story from her.

My original in-line reviews ended up being too long for the site, so I moved a few of them to the republished book links. Overall, it was a very content-packed anthology with only a few great stories and authors that I would consider checking out again.

Her Masks by Rebecca Royce and Ripley Proserpina
Rating: ★★☆☆☆
Tags: reverse-harem, sci-fi, slaves, time-travel, amnesia, new-adult

This was a reverse harem novella about a 20-year-old FMC Chaney who was motivated by instinct to find three mysterious masks in an old theater and touch them to release three men every Halloween in our current time.

The beginning world setup was interesting, but after the backstory was revealed in giant info dumps by the men, the writing and dialogue seemed very stilted. The insta-lust and insta-love was rather boring, and the story ended up rather bland with a weak HEA. No real conflict was resolved. All the men blended together into the same character.
---
Tricked by Mila Young
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Tags: reverse-harem, elves, magic, fairy-tales, retelling, new-adult

This was a short story that followed our young orphaned FMC Rain on her 18th birthday when her hidden half-elf heritage was revealed at a late night party.

It was an interesting story line, and I liked the fairy-tale retelling, but the execution was a bit tacky. The men didn't really have their own personalities and blended together in this story, but this was probably more due to the short length and how late they showed up in the writing.
---
True Monsters by May Dawson and Lacey Carter Andersen
Rating: ★★★★☆
Tags: reverse-harem, vampires

This story followed an abused wife and her escape by finding a group of vampires to shelter with. A very satisfying read with how the evil husband was defeated, although there were pretty graphic mentions of physical abuse.
---
Thieves of Fate by Ophelia Bell
Rating: ★★★★☆
Tags: reverse-harem, dragons, shifters, telepaths, m-m-romance, magic, gods, animal-sidekicks, phoenixes

This is a novella set in a bigger world that I had not read - it was pretty obvious from the amount of backstory revealed while explaining the history of the main characters. The story followed Bernadetta's eventual resurrection, subsequent mating to three Shadow Dragons, revealing her existence to her old friends, and finally ending in a HEA with how she found her own place in the new world.

It was a satisfying read with pretty good character development for its length. Each male in Bernadetta's harem had their own unique personality. I will probably pick up related books eventually - the greater epic story sounded pretty intriguing.

Frightful Beginnings by C.R. Jane
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ / DNF
Tags: reverse-harem, vampires, demons, musicians

This is a short story about a mysterious stalker of the FMC Eva set in the world of the Fated Wings series that I have not read before. I was rather confused at the paranormal aspect until about halfway through, but my bigger issue was that I wasn't a fan of the relationship dynamics of a "lost foster" FMC dating three distinct handsome and conceited celebrity figures. I passed on reading the rest after we finally met the second famous musician boyfriend that was showing off by singing a pop song after the first movie star boyfriend dragged her to a movie premiere with paparazzi. I don't think I'd be interested in the full series.
---
Resting Witch Face by Skyler Andra
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ / DNF
Tags: reverse-harem, prisons, fae, magic, clairvoyants, vampires, elves, paranormal, ghosts, shifters, angels

The majority of existing reviews for this anthology (Jul 2021) seemed to be about this story, which was set in another larger existing Guild of Guardians series that I had not read. It was republished as Resting Witch Face. Full review at book link.
---
Her Curse by Katherine Bogle
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Tags: dragons, shifters, reverse-harem, sentient-houses, ghosts

This short story is a sequel to the author's co-written Silver Shifter series, which I have not read (and have no interest in reading). I decided to take a leap of faith and try out the short story to see how it went.

The FMC Ariana and her mates were on their way to her bear shifter mate Owen's family to celebrate Halloween together, but they were forced on a detour due to heavy rain and flooding and tried to seek shelter in a haunted house. The house turned out to be more than they were expecting to deal with, with and the rest of the harem frantically trying to find him before something nefarious happened.

Everything was pretty quickly resolved once Ariana , and it was sort of a bittersweet ending, although I don't think the house's story was fleshed out enough for my curiosity. It was an okay read but still doesn't tempt me into reading the full series. Most of the men were a little too asshole-personality for my taste.

Awaken by Monica Corwin
Rating: ★★★★☆
Tags: fae, magic, reverse-harem, m-m-romance

A very hot short story that involved the FMC hearth witch Cameron Fortuna getting stuck in a hotel room at their 10-year college reunion with her best friend Sasha (who was some species that could teleport but was never fully explained), her mage ex Holt, and a fairy prince Aspen. The sudden twist at the end with came out of nowhere, but the glimpse we received in this short story has made me interested in reading the full novel when it comes out. Unfortunately, the book only has it listed as "Untitled," so we shall see if we ever get the rest of the harem's story.
---
Her Wolves by Margo Bond Collins
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ / DNF
Tags: shifters, fae, reverse-harem

While I had no issues with the writing itself, I couldn't handle the plot and had to quit at Ch 7 (of 27). The contrived situation that the FMC found herself in was a little too unbelievable, and I couldn't continue reading to see how she ended up as the alpha for a pack she inherited from her uncle when she didn't even know about werewolves at all before that news. Requiring her to mate with a male werewolf to get a bite to transform her into a werewolf to be the alpha was just very backwards to me.
---
Reaper Reborn by Serenity Ackles
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Tags: reapers, ghosts, shifters, demons, reverse-harem, m-m-romance

This was a short story that followed the FMC Neva as she was summarily killed by a gunshot unexpectedly and was drafted to become a reaper as otherwise .

The world of the dead was interesting enough, but not enough was explained about the reaper society and why she to be a reaper. The author's note at the end suggested that this was supposed to be a standalone story, but the latter half of the book was basically all smut and explained nothing about reapers or companions or any real character development. It left a very unsatisfying taste in my mouth, and the story would be been better when fleshed out with a full story arc rather than leaving Neva's new role as a reaper hanging with no explanation.
---
Stealing Magic by Maggie Alabaster
Rating: ★★☆☆☆
Tags: thieves, retelling, shifters, magic, reverse-harem, detectives, dragons, prisons

This story was republished as Stealing Magic. Full review at book link.
---
Catrina by Tiegan Clyne
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Tags: gods, ghosts, mafia, zombies, detectives

This story followed the FMC Marisol who was murdered by the local cartel and was consequently to get her revenge. The setting was interesting, but the smut ramped up quickly with insta-lust and the contrived situation. It was an okay read - cartel/mafia stories aren't really my cup of tea. Marisol/Catrina turned out to be quite a Mary Sue and the evil defeat and weak HEA was very unsatisfying.
---
Everwood Academy by J.E. Cluney
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ / DNF
Tags: demons, new-adult, academy, hellhounds, reverse-harem, angels, magic, shifters, telekinetics, telepaths, vampires

This story was republished as Everwood Academy: Demonic Creatures. Full review at book link.
---
Something Wicked by Caia Daniels
* skipped *

I actively avoid pure contemporary romance - this story was about a young hot model wanting a last orgy with his older middle-aged guardian Summerlan West before he left her protection.
---
Millwood Academy - The Beginning by Tanya Dawson
Rating: ★★☆☆☆
Tags: hunters, fae, magic, amnesia

This was a prequel novella to the Millwood Academy series and followed when the FMC Penelope first met and worked together with Hazen in her hunter pack.

I was completely lost at what everyone did as a hunter in the pack, and it was never well explained. Assassins, maybe? The relationship between Penelope and Hazen was full on insta-lust with no character development. The action jumped from place to place with no reason, and everyone was just directed to their roles. I ended up skimming the last chapter and was left very confused at the conclusion. I have no interest in reading the full series based on this story.
---
Idol Threats by J.S. Lee
* skipped *

This was book 4 of the Korean-pop RH series H3RO and skipped because I have no interest in pure contemporary romance.
---
The Devil's Lantern by Niobe Marsh
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ / DNF
Tags: demons, reverse-harem

This story was republished as The Devil's Lantern. Full review at book link.
---
A Hunter's Moon by Dana Lyons
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ / DNF
Tag: hellhounds, demons, clairvoyants, reverse-harem, detectives

This story started out explaining how 3 Very Bad People were killed and turned in hellhounds and tasked with helping the FMC Bella in order to achieve redemption. The characters and plot were spoon-fed quite aggressively to the reader, and I was bored by Ch 3 (of 6). All the personalities were way over the top, and based on the introduction, it seemed like gratuitous violence (which I don't like) in the rest of the story was a given.
---
Demon Stalked by Ann Denton and Katie May
* skipped *

This was novella #1.5 in the Darkest Flames series. I DNFed the 1st book Demon Kissed.
---
The Lost and the Hunted by Grace McGinty
Rating: ★★★★☆

Great sneak peek of The Lost and the Hunted that ended on a terrible cliffhanger. Full review at book link.
---
To Creepy With Love by Morgan Jane Mitchell
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Tags: post-apocalyptic, zombies, reverse-harem

This was a post-apocalyptic story following the FMC Sissy as she tried to survive in an abandoned town alone while avoiding her ex, leftover zombies, and meeting some new people along the way.

This was barely tolerable to my tastes since it was a little too close to real life, and I prefer more fantastical worlds for my reading. The apocalyptic setting was basically a twist on the current pandemic, especially when it talked about the NBA bubble and Florida and Georgia being the worst of the spread. The relationships were rather insta-lust, and the smut scenes honestly were a bit crude and immature. I couldn't take the FMC seriously when she kept calling her parts Miss Mary. The story ended on a cliffhanger, and I'm not curious to look for any further sequels.
---
Witching Hour: The Stroke of Three by A.J. Mullican and Elle Ryan
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Tags: sci-fi, reverse-harem, thieves, telepaths, m-m-romance, dystopia, animal-sidekicks

This story followed the FMC telepath Kylie with her team as they stole a stasis pod and tried to disable its self-destruct sequence before it exploded. It seemed like I was missing a lot of backstory since the harem relationship with her men was already established. The plot and smut were rather dry and methodical, although I did enjoy the cute twist at the end. However, I am not interested in reading the rest of the world based on this sample.

A Weekend to Remember by Eden Rose
Rating: ★★☆☆☆
Tags: vampires, f-f-romance

This was a really weird story for me as it was about a newly turned vampire couple Jill and Joe Baxter who decided to join the vampire swinger community to "spice up" their six-year married relationship that had originally started in middle school. Jill and Joe ended up setting up a vacation with the FMC's boss Brandon and his wife Whitney, both vampires and bisexual, to try it out.

I thought Joe was an asshole and hated how Jill just catered to all his immature wants. I thought Jill was way too insecure about herself, and it got tiring to read about it every chapter. Additionally, the way that Jill and Joe interacted with the other couple was pretty awkward, and the narration was incredibly dry. The world of vampires was not described well, and all I got from them was that vampires bit each other in passion. How they mated or married or integrated in a world of humans was not explained at all.

The smut was not good either, and I'm not sure I want to read anything else by this author in the future.
---
Bloody Halloween by Anna Santos
Rating: ★★☆☆☆
Tags: vampires, reverse-harem, shifters, f-f-romance, mercenaries, hunters, magic, reincarnation

This story followed the Vampire Queen Emily as she was setting up a Halloween party while trying to hook up her female witch lover Susana with her own harem. This story would be enjoyed better as part of the full series as there were a lot of characters introduced without much context.

I found the smut to be rather unappealing - there was some kink in there and a lot of the action happened in the most random locations with unexpected timing. The plot and characters were very simple without much depth or intrigue. In the span of three pages, a potential love interest for Susana went from . The vampires' torturing was basically just ... I was not impressed by the writing and am inclined to avoid this author's works in the future.

Alpha Magic by Amelia Shaw
Rating: ★★★☆☆

This story was republished as Alpha Magic. Full review at book link.
---
Her Protectors by Faith Summers
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Tags: magic, clairvoyants, shifters, telepaths, time-travel, reverse-harem

This story followed the witch FMC Laila as she discovered her secret parentage, her foreseen future, and her mates in another realm. The setting and world-building were interesting, but the smut and how the plot tied up were a bit simple and boring. The character development was surface-level and cursory, and I think the story would have been better if it was expanded into a full-length novel and more details were added.
---
Roots and Gerunds by Edeline Wrigh
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Tags: magic, clairvoyants, ghosts, reverse-harem

This story followed the with FMC Cassandra, the owner of a magic shop, as she was entangled in a quest to find the recipe for a philosopher's stone for some visitors to her shop. I was not a fan of the twist at the end of the story, and it made the rest of the read kind of a waste of time IMO.

I purchased this RH anthology specifically for Grace McGinty's story Lost and the Hunted. I may be biased but I say go right to this story on page 1817 and read it first. Then come back for the rest of the anthology.

This is Book 1 in the Eden Academy Prequel and comes in a 110 pages. It is a paranormal reverse harem story revolving around Snow Leopard Celeste and her love interests Reese, Lincoln, and Vincent. Although Celeste is a shifter the story reads as more of a contemporary reverse harem in the human world.

Elements of a greater world are alluded to but we don't get to experience a lot of it in this story. Instead more time is spent introducing us to the main characters. We delve into their backgrounds and learn how the trio of men came to be friends many years ago. We learn what makes them a family.

In true Grace fashion there is no holding back with the steamy sex scenes including mmf and mm scenes. Sharing isn't a problem for this group.
"Snow Leopards are not monogamous, Reese. We don't do well in one on one relationships. Even now, my snow leopard wants to climb all over your roommates."

"Okay. I can share you with my roommates if that's what you want...Hell, it's the perfect solution. I want you, and I love them. They love each other."
Reese's reaction to Celeste's confession is swoon worthy.

This story ends with Grace's note: "That cliffhanger was brutal, right?" Thankfully enough time has passed and and the Lost and the Hunted - Book 2 has released. This is a good thing because you will definitely want to immediately begin reading the next book.

If you haven't read anything by this author, I highly recommend any of her published works. Her writing is phenomenal. She will make you laugh with her blunt nature and realism. Her character's don't hold back. My personal suggestions would be the RH's Eight Seconds to Fly and Hell's Redemption.

I’ve only read Tricked and Resting Witch Face so far. But if all the books are as good and hot as this one then I will definitely want to read them too.

Tricked
Tonight is her 18th birthday. She’s at a Halloween party and not really having any fun. But when the clock strikes midnight her whole world will change starting with lots of pain. The story has quite a few surprises as she learns who she is and why three pairs of beautiful shoes appear each week in her shoe shop.

Resting Witch Face is part of a series that is getting pretty hot. Astra and her men are a very interesting and dangerous group. Each has their own special abilities. This story brings the group closer to danger but also brings them together. Things get deadly and then there is a finally to make you sweat. Love this group and love the series.

I Will be Voluntarily Reviewing a Story Within this Wicked Souls Boxset.
There will be No Spoilers From Me.

Current Overall Star Rating: 4/5

*As of Right Now: I Received an ARC of Idol Threats by Ji Soo Lee
**Which is BOOK >4< in the H3RO K-Pop Series

Book: Idol Threats by Ji Soo Lee
Rating: 4-4.5/5, listing as 4.
Cliffhanger(?): Can I say that I Hope it is one?!🤞
Drama: 4.5/5
Suspense: 3.5/5
Heat: 4/5
Romance: 4-4.5/5
Dark(?): No.
Relationship Type: Reverse Harem

No Spoilers.

Great Story! I’ve been waiting for this story for so long, I won’t spoil anything in this story.
But, Oh my goodness(!!!)...that ending..Duuuude! I need to know what’s going to happen!

Can I just say that when I opened this book, and keep in mind it’s been a long time since I’ve read Holly’s books, that when I opened this book and started reading it was like you walked into your favorite Universe and everyone is there to welcome you back.
I thought I had forgotten what their names were and who was who, and that I’d have to start from Book 1 again, but I immediately remembered everyone again.
That was so refreshing, I was able to fully immerse myself right back into the series, like I’ve never left.
That shows you right there, how to write a good series.

Review for one story in this set:
The DragonShadow Princess: A DragonShadow Chronicles Prequel

This starts out with a deliciously unapologetic sequence that introduces the world and characters well, without being overly expositional. I gobbled this story up incredibly quickly, and I think people who love the genre will really enjoy this narrative. There were a few grammatical errors, but editing is my day job and I'm a bit particular in that regard. The errors didn't take away from the story, which was fantastical, emotional and intriguing! I was honestly drawn in by the mystery they immediately established.

Such a fabulous collection of stories! When I got this book I started it right away and I just couldn’t put it down until the end. Each author puts their own unique story into this collection. All the stories in this anthology are amazing and just absolutely fabulous!! Highly recommended! 💜🖤

A stand out for me were Reaper’s Last Homecoming by Bee Murray with the Angel/Demon/Ghost mix that brought a lot of spice into the mix. Kyrie is such a badass FMC that has to adjust to her new job earlier then expected but has her angel, demon and ghost to guide, protect and satisfy her needs.

Also, I got to read Skylar Andra’s Resting witch face early. Fabulous story! I love Astra and her men. They have plenty of ups and downs that challenge them but they always end up on top in the end.

I enjoy reading anthologies because not only do you get to see what a writer is like in their writing style but you also get to see either existing series or the prequels of new series to come.

I read Skyler Andreas Resting Witch Face. Which is from the Guild of Guardians series. I enjoy Skylers writing style with a fast paced feel. Yes, even though these are short stories you can still get a good feel from the speed and style. Which as usual for a Skyler book are pretty spot on.

If you are looking for a spooky good time, I would suggest checking out this collection, and most definitely Skyler Andrea's story Resting Witch Face.

Wicked Souls

First off I have to say how much I love books like this. You get to see so many different authors in one place and try new ones, or find a new series of an old favorite.
This is a review for Skyler Andra and her novella Resting Witch Face in which we get to see just how much trouble Astra and the guys have gotten themselves into... and well you know them, right? It's a fun, fast read that you don't want to miss.
I can't wait to read all the other stories in here either

I'm reviewing Resting witch face by Skyler Andra.

This fun and exciting novella is a fantastic read. It gives you a snippet into her guild of guardians series if you haven't read it, I highly recommend you do. These characters have a fantastic dynamic, creating an energetic story with laughs and meaningful moments. The writing is beautifully done, the story is fast paced but has depth and the characters are perfect. Loved this novella and will be excited to see what Skyler doesn't next for these characters!

I only read To Creepy With Love by one of my favorite authors, Morgan Jane Mitchell, but I will go back to read the others too. Morgan always manages to pull me straight into her world and hold my attention until the very last word. I loved everything about this. It has all the things and ticked all my boxes, mystery, action, suspense, zombies, hot alphas, and a damn good storyline that I can't wait to read more of.

I read Skyler Andra's Resting Witch Face. I loved getting more of her characters from her Guild of Guardians series. This novella feels pretty necessary to the overall plot of the series because the relationships between the character changes dramatically. Not only do they become closer as a team and start to deal with some issues from the past, but the MMCs are finally all starting to warm up to the FMC. It's a great, short read, chock full of steam. If you are reading the Guild of Guardians series, make sure you don't miss this novella.

I love this early glimpse into Halloween that this anthology provides. I particularly love the chapter by Skyler Andra since it gave me a new story with Astra and crew and I am desperately needing my fix of them. I also love the story by May Dawson and Lacey Carter Andersen and hope to see more from those characters. This is a great anthology and I look forward to more from these authors.

I havent read the whole book yet but i will

My review for Reapers Last Homecoming by Bee Murray

Kyrie (FMC) has an unusual family being that her aunt and uncle are Persephone and Hades. So it should come as no surprise that shes destined to become a Reaper of Souls. Except the job comes with its own complications. Namely 3 hot guys - An Angel Santos, A Hellhound Dmitri & A ghost Thane. Funny in parts as well as plenty of sexy scenarios. Great characters, great story and a great read too. Hoping they get a full book? Id definitely read it

My review for Resting Witch Face by Skyler Andra

Wow now this was one action packed and hot as hell novella. I loved Astra (FMC) and the guys -Knoxe, Tor, Pascal and Raze in the Guild of Guardians series so this was a treat to read. So good

I am still reading through all of the stories in this anthology, but what I have read so far is spookingly fantastic!

Review for Resting Witch Face by Skyler Andra:
What a fantastic read! Astra is such a fun heroine to follow, and I enjoyed the moments between her and her men. There are some dark aspects of this story, but everything comes together nicely. Lots of mystery and intrigue, this is a great read for the Halloween season!

I've only read one of the stories in the anthology so my review is for Reaper's Last Homecoming by Bee Murray.

This is the first novella I've read from the Underworld Hijinks series and I loved it. It's my second book by this author and won't be my last, I'm off to buy the others in this series now. I wasn't sure what to expect but once again I wasn't disappointed. Fun and interesting characters, an engaging and well written story. It was so good I just wanted it to be longer! If you like supernatural romance with a kick (and some steam) then you can't go wrong with this.

I’m reviewing Skyler Andra’s “Resting Witch Face”

This is a spin-off with recurring characters from her Guild of Guardians series. I am a huge fan of her series and would recommend them all day, so I was pleased to see they made an appearance in this anthology.

Obviously being a novella it was fast-paced action, and never a dull moment. The chemistry of the group was very clear from the get-go, as it was established in a previous series. The character building and world-building are top-notch and you feel like you’re on the mission with the team.

A great quick read that will leave you burning for more! A definite “recommend to read”

Fantastic Anthology, definitely worth the read for all these short stories! There reviews i am leaving are for two of my favourite reads in the anthology:

Grace McGinty: Lost and Hunted:
Celeste is always on the run, always hiding who she truly is, She finds Reese her saviour for the night, but knowing her past she leaves, Unfortunately she accidentally takes something with her, something she must give back.
This is a brilliant story, although Grace is an Wicked person for that cliff hanger thank god Book 2 is nearly releasing!

Skyler Andra: Resting Witch face:
Love this little side story to the Guild of Guardians series.
These books are a must read. I love that they are inclusive with characters with Aspergers and Autism. This short story gives you a tease into these books and leaves you wanting so much more that you will be downloading the first book in the series before you read the last word of this story .
