Indie authors use sales copy. It’s key to making writing dreams a business reality in the world of self-publishing. But most of what you’ve been told about it is … bunkum.
A bold statement. But a true one. Authors are hungry for how-to information so they can make their way in a business world. But the standard advice comes from other authors with no professional background in copywriting. Sadly, it’s out of date, often wrong and holding you back.
It’s time to explore modern copywriting that taps into the latest neuroscience. It’s time to discover real sales copy, and to dive deep where only a professional can take you. It’s time to unleash its potential to drive your career.
This book takes you on that journey.
How experts leverage front and backmatterWhich part of the brain makes decisions, and how to speak to itThe art of using neuroscience to persuadeWhy old marketing tactics are dyingHow, and where, to use cutting-edge sales copy that works in the digital ageThis book will surprise you, and bust the bubble of hack tactics dragging down your sales.
You’ll never look at sales copy the same way again. Are you ready to unleash professional copywriting skills?
What writers think about this series…
“This is, by far, the best indie how-to guide I have read.”
“Best advice I’ve seen yet.”
“Brilliant!”
“This author's expertise is truly awesome, as is his flair for communicating complex concepts painlessly.”
To be fair, this volume is full of great insight on neuroscience and buyer behaviour. All very captivating stuff to be sure. But, after being totally blown away by his book on AMS ads, this one did feel a bit of a let down.
I was hoping for more concrete examples in regards to marketing strategies. I was disappointed in that much of this information was already in some of his other books I had just got done reading.
I like the actual information in the book, but found it hard to wade through all the “ONLY I CAN TELL YOU WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!!!!!!!” hyperbole. Ugh.
Maybe he shouldn’t have written THE ACTUAL BOOK in sales copy.
This is the second book I have read of Robert J Ryan's and he has some great information, and explains things so well. The only downfall with this book is he constantly refers to the previous three books he has written in the series, so you have to have read them first - I have only read Book 2 in his series. He also keeps telling you to google things he talks about if you want more information, rather giving more explaination in the book. They are marketing concepts, and really I thought that was the point of this book. So although this is packed with information for self published authors there are parts that could be better. It's like he has become a little cocky at this stage - or bored with writing these books.
Sales copy unleashed is a solid book that provides you some useful direction to research. The author offers his perspective, but also encourages you to dig deep. What I like is that he's really teaching you the critical skills you need to have if you want to be successful in this business. I appreciate that and the points for consideration that he provides that can help you improve your writing business with that necessary slight edge we all need.
This is a book that will have you question not only how you write your books, but also how you write. Period. I am not going to waste your time writing a review of a book any serious author should read.
I’ll just shut up and point you to the purchase button. You will be doing yourself a favour by clicking on it.
A concise guide on what sales copy is and what it isn’t. The author challenges the old ways of doing sales copy and presents new ways of looking at how you present your front matter, back matter, about the author etc. and presents a case for asking for reviews directly. If you want to try fresh sales copy ideas this book is for you.
This was a quick read, yet I know I will go back and be studying the different chapters as I need to. Once again, we’ll written, engaging and helpful. I’m excited to test out this stuff and find what works best for me and my books.
I wish I had read this book years ago! It makes so much sense and is well written. The author's writing style makes it engaging even tho it's a topic that's new to me. After reading this book I need to seriously give my backlist a makeover. I'm incredibly grateful that Robert took the time to write this book. Thank you!
I’ve read two of the author’s books today, so I guess I’ve enjoyed them. Seriously, this book is wonderful and filled with useful data. Grab it, you’ll be thankful that you did.
Not a quick flick-through and have the wonders of the world revealed to you - but what it does explain it much deeper and more valuable than most similar offerings
Full of great advice the science behind it. I love how it’s not just ‘This is what to do because this is the way it’s done.’ There’s an explanation behind it all.
Love Robert Ryan's book marketing books. They're written with integrity, vision and clarity. The guy knows his stuff. His books are a beacon of hope in the storm of indie guru guff
I read this with my Kindle Unlimited subscription and I'm glad I did. It's well written and I got some new ideas to try (already updated my author page! ).
This book gives you many ways to understand hooks that work. If you give them a try and stay consistent you will see growth and improvements that work for you.
This is the fourth book I buy from Robert Ryan... the experience he has is crystal clear... and this book is another source of valuable information with pearl of wisdom about sales copy that can change your % of conversion.... the tips he delivers are precise for books so even if you’re an expert copywriter, you can find tons of valuable insights on it... if you’re a total beginner on the contrary, you can still find the perfect source to start without being overwhelmed from all the basics about copywriting... Super choice!
I literally was just about to publish my two nonfiction books when I had a chance to read this detailed informative book. It truly may have made the difference in several key aspects of my books! I couldn’t be more happier that I found it, And I’m very grateful.
