Betrayed by a fellow soldier in Afghanistan, Bryson “Ghost” Steele watched every member of his unit suffer torture and death. He barely got out alive with the help of a young Afghan girl he refused to leave behind.
His boots barely touch Montana soil before he and his brother Noah rescue an unconscious woman trapped in a wrecked truck. A truck whose brakes were clearly tampered with. Though still wounded himself, his instincts scream to keep her safe until they find out who wants her dead.
A heart she dares not trust…her own.
All Lynn remembers from the accident is a pair of crystal-blue eyes she never thought to see again. Until those eyes show up a few days later, attached to a tall, sandy-haired cowboy who takes all of five minutes to get under her skin.
He wants her to stay put? She just got away from a dangerous cult. No one tells her what to do or where she can and can’t go. Especially not a sexy ex-Marine with a rescue complex. But when more near-misses leave her shaken, she has no choice but to surrender to Bryce’s protection…and try like hell not to surrender her heart.
Linzi Baxter hails from Bismarck, North Dakota, but currently lives in Orlando, Florida. She received her bachelor’s degree in information technology from the University of Central Florida and is currently in the process of earning her MBA from the same university.
Baxter works as an IT Manager for the local government and spends her free time playing with her basset hound, watching college sports, traveling to Europe’s great cities, and reading romance. It was that last passion that inspired her to write her debut novella, Hacker Exposed.

This story begins with the Prologue where the main character Bryson is in an ISIS cell in Afghanistan. He and his team were, I was going to say deceived (which they were), however the word used in the blurb is more appropriate I think. He and his team were betrayed by another member of their group! So as I was saying, Bryson is in a cell, he’s heard all of the other teammates that were betrayed being tortured and then some. There’s a little girl that sneaks in every evening to give him water, and he finally convinces her to help him escape. Her payment? Freedom in the United States.
So the little girl’s name is Azadeh. She’s a young Afghani child whose uncle is about to sell her in one of those child marriages most people are horrified by. Azadeh manages to save his life several times while he manages to bring her safely to the US. Now, the team member that betrayed him and his team was Ricky, and he’s bitter that Bryson escaped. Bryson and Azadeh’s escape from Afghanistan is filled with what can only be described as action and adventure. I almost felt like Azadeh was the important character here. Bryson manages to get the two of them to Montana where they’ll be staying with his middle brother Noah on the Montana Gold ranch. Yes, Ricky and Azadeh’s uncle are hoping to make the two of them pay.
This is the third story in the Montana Gold series from Linzi Baxter. You don’t have to read the first two stories I guess, but I do recommend it. That way you can learn about Bryson’s older brothers, the women in their lives and the various other military friends they have. As I said earlier, I almost felt like Azadeh was the important character here and frankly, I loved her! I enjoyed that all of Bryson’s family and extended family loved her too. Ok, I changed my mind. You really should read Grayson's Angel (Montana Gold Book 1) and Noah's Love (Montana Gold Book 2) first. The three books are excellent and more than worth the read!
Bryson “Ghost” Steele used his memories of time spent on the Lazy S Ranch with his brothers, Grayson and Noah, just to get himself through the day. One of his unit brothers had betrayed the team -- Ricky Cavous – who was using the convoy for drug running blocks of heroin. When he woke up, each of his 5 unit brothers was chained to the ceiling in their separate cells. They got just enough water poured down their throats to keep them alive. Two Taliban men would come in each day and drag one of his team members out of their cell to be tortured.
When a 10-year-old girl, Azadeh, brought him dirty water to drink, he asked her to help him escape, with the promise he would take her with him. He borrowed a phone from a man who owed him a favor, and he called his brother, Noah, in the CIA to get them out of there. Then a rocket launcher brought down the building on top of him!
Bryson is rescued with Azadeh’s help and returns to the states, absolutely thrilled to be heading back to his family’s Lazy S Ranch. He wasn’t expecting to come upon an accident involving a crumpled truck and an unconscious young woman, Lynn. She has a secret but it’s obvious she needs help and protection. Barely healed himself, Bryson can’t turn his back on her, even if she doesn’t want his help.
This is an exciting, suspenseful, fast-moving book with an excellent story line that pulls the reader in from the start and never slows down. Grab your copy and see the fate of each of the characters you’ll meet along with way. Betrayal, deception, and tons of excitement are waiting for you!

3.5 stars
I haven't read the other books either in the Montana Gold series or in the wider Brotherhood Protectors World. Although this book held up as a stand-alone, I think it would have been better if I had read the other Montana Gold books.
Although I did like the story, I almost felt like there was too much going on for the plot to flow correctly. Bryson's team was betrayed by one of their own. As the only surviving member, he wants revenge, but he needs to focus on saving the 10-year-old girl responsible for saving him from his prison. Lynn has survived being part of a cult for the last three years, finally back in the real world she is determined to find her place in the world again. Bryson has a price on his head and young girl to look after, but with someone coming after Lynn he'd drawn to protect her too.
I adored Azadeh, the young girl that rescued Bryson. She was a spitfire, but we still saw enough vulnerability in her interactions with both Bryson and Lynn. Bryson and Lynn worked well together, but I did feel like things moved a little quick between them. The secondary characters were okay, and if I had more of their backstory (by actually reading their stories in some cases) I think I would have felt more of a connection there. I did think that either plot points were too easily dealt with (getting Azadeh to the US and getting her paperwork straight) or so many overlapping issues, that the story just didn't balance well for me.
This book is in two series that I absolutely love my favourite series is Linzi's Montana Gold who doesn't love a ex military man with a heart of gold that also happens to be a tough Montana cowboy throw in the fact that you get to meet a few of the guys that have starred in The Brotherhood Protector series and it is a win win. This is the third book in the series we have already had Grayson and Noah's story and now we get Bryson the youngest brothers story
We open with Bryson"Ghost" Steele hung in a prison after been betrayed by a member of his team Ricky was using the military convoys to transport Heroin but Bryson noticed now he and five of his team mates are prisoners Each member of the team is dragged away to be tortured until only Bryson is left alive. The only reason he is surviving is that a young girl Azadeh is sneaking water to him each day. He asks for her help to escape and she steals a key With the help of the Ross brothers not only his he repatriated back home but he brings Azedah with him As he and Azedah make the final leg of the journey back to the ranch he comes across a crumpled car wreck it is Lynn. Danger is threatening her He can't walk away and soon he is protecting her as well Is the danger from her past in a cult or is it actually from his or is it a combination of the two You will have to read to see if he can keep her safe and if they can become a family
Bryson escaped a prison camp with the aide of a young girl, Azadeh who he takes with him as they escape evil forces that would be fatal for both of them. His brother manages to obtain travel to the US for him with the understanding that young Afghan girl must be admitted with him. On their way to the brother's ranch, they rescue a young woman who was escaping from human trafficking cult. The brother, Noah and his fiance, assist Lynn, Azadeh and Bryson to begin to experience normal life experiences. The evil forces from the cult and from Afghanistan threaten the lives of everyone on the ranch. This story is a page turner with danger at every turn. Lynn and Bryson found meaning in a new life and include Azadeh as their new family. The characters are realistic and the fear and danger are gripping. I would recommend this book to anyone familiar with the Brotherhood Protectors as well as anyone interested in fast paced story.
What happens when a lost woman, recently rescued from a cult run by a rogue ex CIA nut meets a guy who was recently saved from torture while serving his country overseas? The start of an exciting, suspense and action filled book. Bryson is finally back in the states for the first time in years. Having just been rescued from torture at the hands of a traitor, he's thrilled to be going back to the family ranch. The LAST thing he expected on the route home was to encounter a crumpled truck at the scene of an accident. Something very wrong had happened here, and he was determined to help the young lady trapped within the wreckage. Adrenaline, deception, adventure and more coming from many angles in this exciting yet heartwarming story! You'll be instantly hooked!
Be prepared to be grabbed and thrown into the maelstrom of another exciting book! Feels like we got to miss a prologue and a few beginning chapters and started where the action is. Not always a bad thing.... Lynn is recovering from being imprisoned for three years with a human trafficking cult on a ranch for veterans. Bryson has escaped and is rescued by some friends in Afghanistan. He is bringing along a young girl who helped him looking to flee from her abusive uncle. He and Lynn have one of those instant attraction things going on. They can’t act on it because someone is trying to kill Lynn, he and the girl have bounties on them. Well written and suspenseful! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
This was an enjoyable read. It features the youngest brother Bryson. He has been betrayed by a drug and arms dealing team member and turned over to enemy forces in Afghanistan and watched his team be tortured. A beautiful smart little girl saves him twice and AA Security gets him and the little girl back to the States with the help of the president. They are in hiding because the dealer has not been captured. Bryson saves a woman, Lynn, whose brake lines have been cut and finds she has just been freed from 3 years in the cult. He and his brother set out to find who wants her dead. This is action packed, suspenseful, sweet, steamy and a great addition to the series.
4 stars I received a free copy of the short book Bryson’s Treasure: Montana Gold book 3: Brotherhood Protectors World by Linzi Baxter and this review was given freely. A clean instant attraction romance and a suspenseful and action packed conclusion to the series. Betrayed and sacrificed to the Taliban by his traitorous drug and gun running unit brother Ricky,Prisoner of War, Marine Tech/Hacker Bryson "Ghost" Steele escapes with the help of local ten year old Azadeh, his CIA brother Noah, and Antonio Ross. Unfortunately before Bryson and his family reach the Lazy S Ranch, Bryson must rescue Lynn which leads to danger for the couple as well as love.
This was an awesome book that I really enjoyed. The story and characters grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn't stop reading. I loved the characters and watching them grow together, they were well written and went well together. I found this book amazing with great word building making me feel apart of the story and watching it unfold in front of me. A definite must read for any fan and I can't wait to read more from this author!!!

Another excellent read where death and violence are happening. Bryson (Ghost) was betrayed by a fellow soldier and held hostage by the enemy and tortured while he watched them torture and kill his fellow team mates. He only made it out alive by a young girl who freed him if he would take her with him. Lynn had problems of her own and couldn't even explain to herself. Bryson and Azadeh hadn't been home one day when they found her in the ditch unconsious from the truck wreck. There is lots of action, funny parts, getting to know each other. HEA
Bryson is in a cell chained. He has heard his teammates being tortured. A young girl helps free him after he promises to take her with him. He finally is able to call his brother for help. Lynn has been staying at Brighter Days after being freed from the cult. She is instantly attracted to Bryson and Azedeh won her heart immediately. Someone is after her. The only person she can think of is her ex. After that situation is taken care of, someone else is after her now. Will Bryson find her? Will Bryson get his family?
Book three in the Brotherhood Protectors World/Montana Gold series a well written story with a very good storyline and the story flowed smoothly from page to page. I want to read more of this series. Azadeh and Bryson's story of betrayal, suspense, drama, danger, twists, turns, romance, and I found myself smiling at some parts as I read.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Lynn is still trying to put behind her the three years she spent inside a cult. When an attempt is made in her life, it is Bryson who comes to her rescue. Bryson has his own demons to slay when he discovers one of his teammates is siding with the enemy. After he escapes the middle East and returns to Montana, will be and Lynn find their happily ever after or will trouble find them first?
Bryson's Treasure is part of the Brotherhood Protectors World and the third book in the Montana Gold series.
This story has well developed characters with heart and intelligence, especially 10-year-old Azadeh. The storyline is well written and engaging, with danger, suspense, intrigue, and a chance for romance.
I absolutely liked this story, this is book three in Baxter's Brotherhood Protectors Series. This is about the third Steele brother Bryson. It's a fast pace story with strong female lead. I would recommend Reading Noah's Love and Grayson's Angel first before jumping into Bryson's Treasure. Happy Reading!!
I can understand why other people liked this, but unfortunately it just didn’t really work for me. Bryson was okay but I really, really didn’t like Lynn. The story also wasn’t my favourite, and I feel like it got a bit rushed considering the rather short length.
I’m not disappointed that I read this, I just wish I liked it more than I did.
This was a fantastic suspense filled book! I loved how it played out and I could not put it down! I really enjoyed the book and would recommend it to others!

This story has a little of everything, sweet romance, sexy overbearing and frustrating alpha males and a beautiful woman who has the right heart and spirit. Thoroughly enjoying and entertaining.

This series was a little depressing... all of the elements were there... men you could admire... women who were ( relatively ) strong and good plots. But... instead of sizzling with excitement it was more like it had been left in tepid water. Not awful... just not a good read.
Another wonderful story. I love all the Montana Gold books. This was no exception. Finding out not just one person was after them, but two very dangerous people was a great story of decent and pay back.
