Wonderfully written. Pharo was definitely the man for Des. He was such a lovable character with a witty sense of humor. I'm glad Des told him what she experienced during her younger years for his sincerity was heartfelt. Des' dads were also a great addition the story. The ending left me smiling and I truly enjoyed this read

Des x Pharo
I didn't expect to love this so much. Pharo was amazing. My mans was so chill and laid back. Such a kind and gentle soul. Des was just as gentle and sweet. Though her past was tragic, she did not let it defy her. I loved how she wasn’t afraid of her feelings for Pharo. Same goes for Pharo. He did not once shy away from his feelings for her. They had so much in common and where destined to meet. I loved loved loved them. I'd pay to see Des' bus. A+ plus for this one.

Des and Pharo met through their mutual friends and when they first meet, it didnt go so well. When they met again, they talked a lot more and saw that they really had a lot on common and wanted to know more about the other. I LOVED everything about this story. From their back stories to who are they are now as adults. I loved how they just clicked and you knew they would make the perfect couple. This was cute and straight to the point and I couldn't stop reading. If you dont read anything this year, make sure you read this story!!!!

Des and Pharo
I really enjoyed this story of just taking a chance on love. Pharo was super cute and knew that he waited Des from the 1st meeting however Des needed more convening. I love Des’s parents they were super cute and added to the story. 5 stars

Absolutely loved this story of two lost souls who had so much in common and turned out being perfect for one another. Pharo and Des went from first meeting twice on the same day to delving into what they realized was being one another's saving grace.
Once again this author will take you on a journey that is funny, heartwarming and altogether loving and turn you on your head as she draws you in using people and images that are flawed but relatable. Growing up Pharo and Des both had different experiences that affected them to a degree, but also made them to view life with a totally different outlook. They controlled their happiness and were determined to live life on their own terms.
The chemistry between them was off the charts but most of all their mutual respect for one another was SO real. From their initial encounter and all through the book, Pharo and Des stayed with the cute banter back and forth while keeping their feelings for one another on constant escalation. There was no fighting this relationship at all. They were simply too cute not to last.
The family and friends of Pharo and Des were hilarious and supportive, and that is something we could all use during the Christmas holiday - family, love and laughter.

Always well written
Ive read quite a few of this author’s books and I think she is a great writer and her books are always so well written. But I do wish that she could find some type of drama for the characters to go through to enhance her plot. Because all it seems like we get is a woman who has some internal issues and because of that has such a bad attitude with the man until she releases those internal issues and then the man is there. It just gets kinda annoying sometimes cause everyone has issues but you can’t walk around being an itch cause your daddy didn’t love you and your momma didn’t hug you. I just would like more relatable female characters.

The Unexpected happened between Desdemona and Pharo.... Pharo’s name speake volumes... it’s masculine, rich, and commands your attention... Desdemona names speaks .... you ain’t for this ish lol 😂!
You can never judge a book by its cover.... we all have layers that needs to be peeled back... hopefully by that deserving one ☝️! Where opposites attract and Love’s journey will definitely take you there and around the corner...

Des and Pharo
Des was an interesting woman. From her humble beginnings to her unorthodox living arrangements, she definitely had a story to tell. Her parents were hilarious. Pharo's initial meeting with Des was eventful to say that least. What made these two intriguing was their individual issues coming together to create an undeniable chemistry that needed to be explored, and explore they did. Interesting characters, intriguing backgrounds and hilarious moments describe this really good story.

Open This Closet!💝
This was a fun read! That Des is something else! And I really wish I could see this bus of hers. Their first meeting was very strange, but in a goofy way. Des and Pharo really balance each other out. And they've both had some difficult childhoods, especially Des. But they bring out a light in each other. It's beautiful to see! Also, I just loved the Dads, they were EVERYTHING! LOL!!! This was a great holiday story!

Pharo is book bae, for real for real! So smooth, but sensitive with a caring heart. I felt for Desdemona, and what she endured in her early life. So, glad she found pops and dad. Whew..they are a whole mess. 😃. The relationship between Des and Pharo was swoonworthy. He made her drop all of her defenses, because her knew what he wanted. Her! Thoroughly enjoyed this story! 👍👍👍

Sooo, this is my first read by this author
....and yes, I’m impressed. The ladies in my chat groups have been recommending her for awhile now. I figured I’d start off with a novella and see. Welp, I was not disappointed. At. All. I will be going through her list and reading some more of her works. As always, I’m disappointed that the novella ended. I’m looking for more. And yes, I’m greedy! 🙃

Desdemona’s Closet is definitely a great holiday read. Pharo is hilarious, he had me laughing hysterically. Des was not your average female but I somehow found her so relatable. I loved their back stories the most and the fact that through it all they still came out on the other side stronger. Another great one by Mrs Scales!

That onion scene with Kevin and Jalisa was too funny. I hope to see more of these couples.

I believe that everyone has a soulmate, and when the time came for these two to connect-there was no stopping fate. The holidays gifted them with love even though their painful pasts left wounds. I loved Des’ parents😉! Beautiful uplifting story, and I highly recommend this to add some joy to your holiday reading.

I must say I enjoyed this book tremendously. This book was so well written absolutely love the couples in it and all the characters what a great read. Pharo and Desdemona are perfect together I just thought they were great. I actually hope that their besties get their own story wonderful book.

Cute story. I liked the whole Youtuber approaches a random person in Mickey D's and makes a funny video for content. I loved Pharo & Desdemona's first meeting. I loved that she lived on a bus. I also liked how she was a foster kid that didn't have a perfect experience in the system. Most of the families she got placed with were triflin'! I hated the name Desdemona.

Super cute Christmas story of love at first sight or not? Lol
Scales' story is unconventional and light-hearted. Des and Pharo's meeting is kismet and their connection deeper than either one of them could've imagined but both ultimately needed. Add Chris and Larry for comedic relief and a peek into Jalisa and Kevin's lives for a wonderful holiday short that you'll want to revisit.

I don’t know what made this story different but I really really enjoyed it. I love how Des was not with Pharo’s foolery when they first met. I love how they connected and opened up with each other. Loved that Pharo was willing to risk his heart, also willing to run behind Des. Usually the girl runs behind the man. Des dads were a hoot

Pharo is that dude!
I instantly liked Pharo. Sexy and funny is a winning combination. Des had to grow on me, but learning about her past definitely endeared her to me. The author did an amazing job of covering so many bases with these characters in such a short time frame. It was refreshing and sweet and sexy. Also, I LOVED the parents.

Absolutely amazing!!!
Wow, such an eclectic, nontraditional, yet typical at its core love story. Des and Pharo are just my kinda people. Two broken hearts gravitating towards their inevitable happiness. Sabrina your pen is genius. Another amazing 5 star story. 😍❤😍❤😍

This author has a way of making you fall in love with her characters on the first page. You want to know more about them and in the span of a book you root for them like they’re family. Excellent short story!

Good Book
I like how Pharo and Desdemona met. She didn't give him the time of day. Funny seeing them meet for a second time not knowing their best friends are together. Happy they got together. Enjoyed reading this book.

I love different!
This was a funny, sweet, unique novella. It also had some heat thrown into the mix! The closet concept, and the unknown twist that connected the two leads before they even met was beautiful. And their backstory's made them even more loveable!

Funny and entertaining, this book had all of my favorite things for a romance book. Pharo and Des were perfect for each other and I loved the interaction between their friends and Des’s parents.
