Clean: quick-one shot between D&E as they strategize over how to avoid a compromise plot against Mr. Darcy. It was in dialogue format and a quick repartee style. Wade has used this style before. He mentions them in a paragraph at the beginning of the story. Like the other stories, I always get lost when another character enters the scene. There are no verbal clues as to their identity. That leaves it wide open to half of Meryton. However, I still found it cute.
1st Read: 12-4-19
2nd Read: 2-15-23 still confusing at the end.

“The Optimal Plan” features a superb plot … but it took me a minute to figure out the cast.
Miss Bennet approaches Mr. Darcy with a warning: she has overheard people speaking about his upcoming compromise; that very night, in fact.
She suggests a variety of plans to counter the compromise plot. Each has a flaw … until she calls on her sister with the Optimal Plan. But which Miss Bennet … and which sister?

A fun short story. My expectations had to be recalibrated a couple of times.

This short story contains a conversation between Miss Bennet and Mr Darcy during the Netherfield Ball. The style features all dialogue and is very well scripted. I love how this author provides a beautiful reveal at the end!
