In this eagerly awaited sequel to the critically acclaimed Wolf Pack, Lone Wolf, and Cry Wolf, author Edo van Belkom once again takes the reader to the mysterious world of wolves and werewolves. A near fight-to-the-death between Argus and a wild wolf might have saved a little girl’s life, but it has also created something new and very, very deadly. Fully recovered, the wild wolf now returns in Wolf Man as a savage werewolf bent on terrorizing the town of Redstone and taking what it needs to feed itself and its hungry pack. When a mountain man’s pet dog and livestock are viciously murdered, he convinces the town to take up arms to defend themselves against a pack of killer wolves. But along with guns comes trouble, and although Ranger Brock forbids the pack from running through the forest, it isn’t long before someone is shot.
Now it is up to the ranger and members of the wolf pack to save a dying wolf and restore calm before any more blood is spilled or someone ends up dead. Will they succeed?

Unlike the other books, this one seemed to consist of multiple small plots to create larger plot rather than a single big-picture plot. The ending was slightly underwhelming, but did address key questions. Some of the development made the characters a bit less personable/likeable, but it makes sense as a coming-of-age book to see how the characters change.
I've very much enjoyed reading the entire Wolf Pack series / Edo Van Belkom. Now, I'm wondering whether or not the Wolf Pack TV series will continue with season 2. Season 1 was excellent, and is available on Paramount+ ...
Great book on responsible actions and why we should expect people to have the best intentions. The struggles that Argus has is sometimes hard to take as we all are like him sometimes wanting to go beyond

A sequel to the novels, Wolf Pack, Lone Wolf and Cry Wolf, this story has the right amount of tension and intrigue. A pack of teenage werewolves secretly lives with the town ranger, a conscientious conservationist, Ranger Brock. The Pack are simultaneously accessible as normal teenagers - struggling in math and trying out for school teams - and mysterious as werewolves. The small wilderness town in Canada, filled with loggers and vigilantes seem likely to disobey Ranger Brock’s order not to shoot wolves that are terrorizing the town’s people. The leader of the wolves encroaching upon the town is the Wolf Man created earlier in the series – a wolf bitten by one of the Pack’s werewolves. Wolf Man is reaching out to the ranger because his mate is in danger. Can Ranger Brock keep his strange family safe, help Wolf Man and appease the angered town? This book is wonderful for drawing upon themes of trapping and conservation and tying them into the mythology of werewolves. An exiting story recommended for any youth library section.
I was fortunate enough to win a copy of this book through Library Thing. It is a very quick read geared towards young adult readers aged 9-12. The setting is British Columbia and the main character is a Park Ranger named Garrett Brock and his 4 adopted lycanthropes: Noble, Argus, Harlan, and Tora. If you missed the other books in the series, no need to worry; this one is a standalone & fills in the gaps in case the reader, like me did not read the ones in the middle. This book follows the kids still trying to fit in the human world when they try to get a handle on shape shifting into wolves. A local mountain man’s beloved pet dog and his rabbits are killed by wolves; Ernie Ilson tries to bring together the town into a lynch mob to go after these wolves. The Ranger is torn between his duties as a Ranger and his fraternal instincts as a father to protect his pack at home. In the end, the kids and Ranger learn from this experience and the kids are accepted more into their school crowd & not so much as outcasts. With only 151 pages, this book is a very quick read and younger children would love this book. I was impressed that this book is Canadian and also made with recycled material & is printed on acid free paper. I really enjoyed this series.
I received this book from LibraryThing, and it is a fast but fun read. It is book 4 of the wolf Pack series, so please start from the first book, and "Wolf Man" would make better sense. This is a great series about werewolves.
I enjoyed reading this series, even though it was short and a little young for me. I enjoyed that the siblings were all werewolves and that even though they were werewolves the ranger and his wife stillbloved them like their own.
