The next romance on the high seas has arrived! Read for FREE with Kindle Unlimited!

As Master of The Prodigal’s Return, he savors the freedom and defies the dangers of his perilous occupation. Though women are more than willing to share his bed, not one has ever found a way into his untamed heart.

Red’s only true love is the sea.

Curiosity gets the better of him when he receives a mysterious summons from an old acquaintance, and he decides to answer the call. Trouble is, the acquaintance is one of the notorious Porteurs d’Eau, the dangerous French pirate faction. The location? A seedy bar in a northern French port. What could possibly go wrong?

Plenty.

After a narrow escape from the French authorities, Red finds himself stranded in a foreign land. Shackled and injured, he’s in desperate need of a place to hide and recover. Help comes in the form of a beautiful young French woman named Aurélie “Lila” Gavreau, who risks everything for the wild Irish pirate who shows up at her door.

Though drawn to the lass, Red refuses to submit to whatever it is that stirs in his heart. Determined, he eventually makes his way safely back to Ireland, only to discover that the consequences for Lila have been disastrous.

Now it’s his turn to rescue her from the dangers of the streets, and he doesn’t hesitate in setting out on his quest. Time, however, is short, and there’s a wee bit of a problem.

He has no idea where she is.

💋💋

Excellent mayhem with a band of Irish Pirates.
Tense and beautiful , written as only Avril can , wonderful story, wonderful author .

I loved the characters of Red and Lila , right from the start their chemistry was glaring you in the face .
Beautiful in every way, and the tension at times had me biting my nails, I really thought at one point that maybe they wouldn’t find their way back to each other and maybe Avril would do a second book.
But the HEA was perfect.

Great to see the older characters, and some fantastic new ones , so much scope to carry on here.
More please Avril?

Seeing Red

This story is about Captain Red “Cutlass” Conall and Aurélie (Lila )Gavreau.
Red is the Captain of a ship called the The Prodigal’s Return.
Lila takes in things to mend and laundry.
Red ends up in her house due to a saber cut and trying to run from the
Maréchausée who is considered the local police.
When Red is well enough he heads out to sea again but he continuously thinks about Lila.
Other things happen and I would recommend this book.

What’s better than a band of Irish pirates? An adventure that had me enchanted with Red and Lila on their treacherous journey to a HEA!
An attraction off the charts when these two unexpectedly come together when Red gets injured he ends up in the care of Lila. But he is running from danger and goes back to sea as thoughts of the beautiful Lila consume his mind. A wonderful story that Avril is famous for as she draws you into the world of pirates and their ladies!! Cannot wait for more!!

Avril surprised me with this pirate adventure. Not quite the pirate story I expected, but she hooked me by the fifth chapter. I enjoyed the characters and the setting. Excellent descriptions that allowed me to feel I was watching the action up close. It had fight scenes, dreadful wounds, a lovely damsel in distress that required rescue, and a satisfying ending. The promise of more books in this series has me clapping my hands in anticipation. Keep writing to us Avril.

Great historical romance

I enjoyed this book. I only wish you added a epilogue. I love sailor stories because if my husband lived in those days he would have been one.

Surprising Love Story

Such a unique love story. Full of twists and turns. Hard to guess what will happen next. Very much everything a good pirate story should be.
