Lucky has dreamed of an old-fashioned Christmas with Bo for years. Unfortunately, something always got in the way. This year is looking unusually promising, though, if they can keep well-intentioned family and work from spoiling the magic of the season. Their first Christmas together will set the bar for years to come, which means blending their favorite traditions and taking the best of both.
Last minute shopping? Bo’s list. Holiday junk food? Lucky’s. Nostalgic Christmas songs? Bo’s. Hiding to avoid the dreaded office Christmas party? Not Bo’s. And while Lucky is up for compromise, he’s got something extra special planned for his partner, something a little bit naughty and whole lot nice.
You will know Eden Winters by her distinctive white plumage and exuberant cry of “Hey, y’all!” in a Southern US drawl so thick it renders even the simplest of words unrecognizable. Watch out, she hugs!
Driven by insatiable curiosity, she possibly holds the world’s record for curriculum changes to the point that she’s never quite earned a degree but is a force to be reckoned with at Trivial Pursuit.
She’s trudged down hallways with police detectives, learned to disarm knife-wielding bad guys, and witnessed the correct way to blow doors off buildings. Her e-mail contains various snippets of forensic wisdom, such as “What would a dead body left in a Mexican drug tunnel look like after six months?” In the process of her adventures, she has written over thirty gay romance novels, lost count of novellas and short stories, has won Rainbow Awards, was a Lambda Awards Finalist, and lives in terror of authorities showing up at her door to question her Internet searches.
When not putting characters in dangerous situations she’s cosplaying for children's charities or hanging out at the farm being a mother, grandmother, and vegetarian.
Her natural habitats are hardware stores and on the backs of motorcycles.
I agree with Lucky... Die Hard should be considered a traditional Christmas movie!
Dear Author,
Thank you for including both 7.1 and 7.2 short stories in the book 7 audiobook. Your consideration for audiobook addicts like myself is much appreciated!
Absolutely unbelievable - Lucky goes all romantic in the cutest possible way, and darn what else is there to do than swoon and sigh happily? Not that he would appreciate the label if you threw it at him, but it is what it is, and it's simply adorable. I loved every word of it.
Also loved the theme of creating new traditions on their first Christmas together and chuckled at the vision of Lucky in a busy supermarket just before Christmas.
It's just so gratifying and heart-warming to see these two guys enjoying their HEA. Truly a perfect Christmas for Lucky and Bo!
Their first Christmas together after 4 years as a couple. Lucky being all sappy and romantic was great! It was short and fluffy, great addition to the series because readers need action breaks too :)
It’s Christmas, and miracle of all miracles, Bo and Lucky are in the same place and with no plans to go anywhere. The only covers they are planning to get under are the ones lying in their bed. It’s their first and possibly only Christmas they spend together only the two of them.
This was a beautiful novella about how Bo and Lucky took their favourite traditions and created something new, something wonderful for them both. This story had both the naughty and nice, the cheer, love and happiness that is (or should be) synonymous with the Christmas holidays. I love these guys so much and it was nice to see them so happy, so excited, and a little bit scared, about the future.
A copy of this book was generously provided by the author in exchange for an honest review
Bo and Lucky finally manage to spend Christmas together - their first in the 3 years they've been together, as something has invariably come up to ruin it. Lucky pulls out all the stops to make it Bo's best Christmas ever while privately wondering if his most recent name change is to "Sap".
A lovely vignette superbly narrated by Darcy Stark.
Lucky and Bo's first Christmas together was so sweet especially with Lucky pulling out all the stops to make it romantic as heck. I love all the warm and fuzzy comfort feelings that come out in books set during the holiday season and this one kept a smile on my face the whole time.
I have never read anything in this series. I don't know who these characters are, and I don't really know what's happening. I read this purely for a challenge.
It was still a cute little christmas story about two gay dudes enjoying the holidays and getting ready to have a baby.
A second! holiday novella - how lucky are we! Here we get the boys trying to set up their own Christmas traditions amidst the expected family pressures/drama associated with this time of the year. Seeing Lucky try his narky best with special holiday gestures and events is a delight. I can't wait for the promised next volume in this great long-standing series.
Short and sweet holiday interlude in the Diversion series. Christmas is coming and Bo and Lucky finally have an opportunity 3 years into their relationship to spend a holiday together in a meaningful way. It's time to think about building their family and establishing the holiday traditions that will be meaningful and representative of their life together moving forward.
It’s was great to see Lucky and Bo finally have their Christmas together. They were jinxed so many times in past holidays. Christmas shopping with Lucky was just hilarious. And what Lucky did for Bo’s special Christmas was such a joy. Love these guys.
Great short addition to Bo and Lucky's story. Making up for all the Christmas's they missed together, now with an extended family. Can't get enough of these two.
Another gorgeous holiday short about this adorable pair! After missing previous Christmasses together due to clashing work schedules, undercover ops and Mexican drug barons, this year, our duo are determined to start a tradition of a Christmas as a couple.
Lucky's pull out the stops effort to make things special for Bo brought a tear to my eye. This was funny, very hot, sweet and perfectly seasonal.
I love Lucky! He always makes me laugh and Bo and Lucky together melt my heart. *sigh* Such a sweet holiday short! More please.
