Thea is destroyed. Cam's actions cut her deeper than she thought possible and makes her question everything.
When she is sucked into a trap that could threaten her very soul, Cam has one final chance to show Thea the depths of his love for her.
He embraces it with a fierce determination that he will not fail, even if it means returning to brutality.
Second edition (Nov.2019)
AWAKENED BY POWER is the third book in the Empire of Angels series, a paranormal alpha angel romance. For fans of alpha heroes, powerful heroines, paranormal worlds, and destined mates. HEA included. For ages 18+
Zoey Ellis is a Dark Romance author who unites Omegaverse and Epic Fantasy into intensely primal romances. With her signature blend of high steam, dark angst, and magical worlds, her work satisfies a thriving international community of bold-hearted, antihero lovers.
She lives in London, England, and spends most of her free time with family, collecting pretty fountain pen inks, and wrangling her TBR pile.
Again like book one we have an awesome cover for this book. Great representation of the story (obviously.) Fantastic composition. Nice typography with an eye-catching title. The light blue on the B&W background really makes it POP. It's also similar to book one and two so good unity within the series.
Although I enjoyed this final book it turned out to be my least favorite of the trio. I enjoyed the plot, and the writing and pace continued to both be excellent. Unfortunately, the romance aspect was lacking. In fact, if I am honest, I felt zero connection between Cam and Thea in this one right until the very end which had the effect of making the ending seem incredibly rushed.
By the third book in a series (all featuring the same couple) their connection should feel solid to the reader. Of course, I expect it to be tested and things to happen, but behind that, there should be a solid base that has been forming over the course of all three books. That was missing in this one. This couple lost their spark. It kind of made me wish Cam would move on and find a better mate. I could not stand Thea which isn't a total surprise since I struggled with her through the previous two books. Yes, there are reasons she was behaving the way she was, but they didn't help me to feel differently towards her at all. All those feelings were exuberated by the fact that they were separated for two years. That was just WAY too long in my opinion, and I struggled to understand the necessity of having them apart for that length of time.
So yea, this one missed the mark a little for me but the series overall was really rather enjoyable, and I am looking forward to Zak and Amer's book!
Just an FYI - I wonder if she is going to ever finish this series.... While Cam and Thea got their HEA in this third book she sets it up for Zak and Amber to have their story. But so far the series remains uncompleted after almost two years. That annoys me enough to take away a star.
*** Just looked at her website and it says she is aiming for an 2019 release. We shall see...
This was a spectacular series finale, and it hurt so much to admit it because it cements the fact that I will not be seeing these amazing characters again. I truly fell in love with Cam and the whole natural mates concept. This book starts out where the last one left off- Cam is being held in detention for attacking Thea. As a result Thea is very ill and for a while unconscious. Things have taken a turn for the worse and Thea has no idea what has happened to Cam or Zak. Her once very supportive commander and lover are nowhere to be seen. To make matters worse, no one wants to tell her exactly what is going on. The attack has left Thea very vulnerable and she is scared of Cam, but when she finds out why Cam has been absent she feels heartbroken. Things do not look good for Cam and his punishment may be the end of his days in the angel realm. However angel leadership needs Thea to complete her mission, as her mother has now become a person of interest. Cam is allowed to accompany Thea on her mission but that is when everything gets unexpectedly twisted. There is an ultimate show down between forces of good and evil where one brave angel leader inspires angels to assemble into the Avengers of the angel realm. It was a fantastic book and I did not want it to end. I will miss these angels so very much! I received an advanced reader's copy of this book and this is my honest review
This book was everything I dreamed for in a finale of the story of Thea and Cam. It was beautiful and surprising! I love how different this series has been, it's paranormal, but nothing like I had read before. I think that is part of its draw. There's so much to learn about their lives, culture, jobs, leaders, it's all so different! Also the love between Thea and Cam is different, it's carnal to their core. They can't help but love each other at one point, and it makes them so much stronger!
These two are so strong, they fight for everything. Saying that, there was the BIGGEST TWIST EVER in the middle of this book! There were so many things that I didn't expect out of this, I was SO excited when Thea was finally able to leave her confinement and get some answers. I was mad about so many people not telling Thea all of the answers. I was frustrated during the beginning half of this story and it really fueled me to keep reading. I was frustrated for all of our favorite characters! Zak in this story was my absolutely favorite!!! He surprised me so much in this book and I loved him so much for it! I was so happy with how everything ended and my frustration was rewarded! I can't see who Zoey gives us next!
*Happy Sigh* Perfect ending to Cam and Thea's story. I was once again blown away by the world that Zoey Ellis took me through and the feelings that she envoked in me with her writing. <3 This is book 3 in the EoA series, it cannot be read as a standalone so if you haven't read the first two then I would recommend that you do so before picking this up. Mild Spoilers Well done, Zoey Ellis!
You will flip the page on your kindle frantically as you move to get to the end of the story. I am not an emotional reader, it takes a lot to get a tear or watery eye out of me. That said, I became very invested in the characters and some parts had me all squishy with feels. No tears but definite strong feelings. Cam faces the battle of a lifetime. Not only does he have to save himself, but he has to save Thea. The angels aren't the only ones that are attacking. Demons are coming to take what Cam treasures the most. I was rooting for Thea, Cam, Thea and Cam, and so many others as I read. I really don't want to spoil this post, but the battle isn't only externally but internally as well. I knew who the big bad was going to be but way to pull your heart out Zoey. Couldn't even imagine what was going to happen in some parts. Although I guessed who the big bad shadow was very early on. While some parts are explained over again, I didn't find it repetitive. It was more a reminder of how the hierarchy works in the Angel Realm. Zoey describes it in such depth and detail that I feel like I could read it again and catch a nuance I missed the first time. Dani became a favorite secondary character for me. I really like how her relationship with Thea from book 2 grew and evolved here in book three. She became a character I want more of. Zak and Amber are back as well. It was heart breaking for me the relationship of Amber and Thea. Anyway, overall this entire trilogy has been phenomenal. I feel blessed that Zoey reached out to me when she published the first in this series. It is a paranormal romance story unlike anything I have read to date. She has a flow and way with words that will have you captured from the moment you begin.
ARC review I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Thea is recovering from the attack while cam is on trail and both are not aware of what's happening . Till a deal is made to deal with her mother. Awesome story

YOU MUST READ THE FIRST TWO BOOKS BEFORE READING Awakened by Power!
Fly into the third installment of the Empire of Angels series Awakened By Power (Cam and Thea's last book). My first feeling when I started reading this book was different than a lot of books I read. It was a comfort being with characters I knew and a story I expected. It was a nice feeling as I thought I would get a good story with characters I enjoyed. BOY WAS I WRONG - Awakened By Power is a continuation of Cam and Thea's story and it is far from keeping our couple (or readers) comfortable as the story stays on the edge pretty quickly and stays there until the end. We knew things were left on a cliffhanger and not looking good for our romantic heroes. It was a build on the characters as we have known them, but the story took a much more exciting turn than I expected. I won't give it away, as the changes in Thea are unexpected and prove a delightful end to a great series.
I love the world Zoey Ellis has created. Her character development is really exciting and keeps me guessing even though I think I know how it is going to be. Cam, of course, is still hot and brooding! Zak, Dani, and Asteroth are helpful and kind. Amber's life is moving a long at a much faster pace than Thea's. There is much more introspection by both Cam and Thea, that is a little different than the other books. With that said, there is a LOT of ACTION in this installment.
I am thrilled there will be more books as the story continues with a different focus. Finish up your summer with this Angel Warrior series - you won't be disappointed!
This novel was well written and edited, with few if any typos and well constructed sentences. This was the final installment of this paranormal romance trilogy and ended on a Happy Ever After ending. This novel had both high stakes (external conflict) and high angst (internal conflict), which I thoroughly enjoyed as the chosen structure of the novel. The world building in this novel was excellent, with glimpses of the Angel Realm, human realm, and for the first time in the trilogy the Demon Realm. The characterization in this novel was also excellent, with both the hero, heroine and some of the side characters being vibrant well drawn individuals. The only think that irritated me in this novel was how the heroine was unwilling to communicate and ask for help with the nightmares and mood swings that she was experiencing. It was obvious to this reader that there was something unnatural about her nightmares, and you would think she would wonder if there was something supernatural at work considering she was living in an alternate reality populated by angels when she was experiencing these very strange nightmares and mood swings. That was irritating, because I lost respect for the heroine's intelligence. I deducted one star from this novel's rating because of that authorial choice. The heat level of this novel was three flames, with steamy descriptive sex scenes between the hero and heroine in this novel without the use of any toys or kink play. The ending of this novel was a satisfying HEA for the whole trilogy. All around an enjoyable read on a Sunday afternoon. I would recommend this to readers who enjoy paranormal romances and like trilogies with cliffhangers.

“Ruined by Power” is the third and final act of Zoey Ellis’s three book “Empire of Angels” series. Books follow a single couple/ story line through the publishing of three novels and some 700 (give or take 100) pages. Books one, and two both and on cliffhangers I highly recommend that you plan to read all three back-to-back.
Cam is a Dominion or Power Angel. The special forces/ rock stars of the celestial heavens. He’s been tasked with training Thea a half-angel, not an assignment usually considered a good use of a powers time. Not surprisingly our grumpy hero isn’t thrilled.
However it isn’t long before odd things start occurring and it becomes very obvious that Thea is no run of the mill 1/2 angel. It doesn’t help that spark never fail when these two are in a room together. Cam initially fights his attraction. Fails miserably and then just as he’s finally resigned to accept the gift of love the universe has sent his way now needs to fight to protect from allowing circumstances from pulling them apart.
I really enjoyed the series having two of my fav ingredients. 1) a strong female lead in Thea. Our leading lady is not going to stand on the sidelines and hope that the world sorts itself out. She’s going to wade right in and fight along side her power angel. And 2) a strong protective leading man. One who knows the distinction between support and smother.
Book 1: Claimed by Power - 4⭐️ Book 2: Ruined by Power - 3.5 ⭐️ Book 3: Awakened by Power - 4⭐️
I was once again blown away by the world that Zoey Ellis took me through and the feelings that she evoked in me with her writing
Thea isn't doing so well as she heals from the accident.
Alone and plagued with constant headaches, she has no idea what has come of her mate or their commander. All she knows is that she feels abandoned and confused.
Cam faces the battle of a lifetime. Not only does he have to save himself, but he has to save Thea. He just hopes he can gain Thea's forgiveness first and that his absence won't negatively affect her due to their bond.
The angels aren't the only ones that are attacking. Demons are coming to take what Cam treasures the most.
In this instalment, we get to see the repercussions of Cam's behaviour.
Spending so much time away from Thea only made it worse and his only hope was to finally connect to the stream and hope the Creator would be forgiving after what he had done.
This book was everything I could dream for in a finale of the story of Thea and Cam.
ONE EXPLOSIVE EXPERIENCE!!! Adrenaline rush! Zoey blows through like a thief in the night, zipping 'em up and battening 'em down, racing full throttle, throwing caution to the wind for one mind blowing, prize winning culmination. Disbursing incredibly, well rounded scenario's, revving up the excitement and adrenaline, with such intensity and precision, blazing this gem to life brilliantly. Trudging through the trials and tribulations, along with thrilling twists and sleek turns, testing our characters in ways they could never have anticipated. Forging ahead, struggling with the drama, intrigue, uncertainty, danger and suspense while tension spirals thrusting this gem into the eye of the storm, breaking it down, blasting it into a tailspin with staggering results. The chemistry sizzles as each layer is peeled back exposing a soul deep bond and amplifying affections that leave you breathless, craving more. The personalities are well matched and balanced with enough flaws for diversity. The scenes are strikingly sharp with such colorful descriptions it gives you a full understanding and realism that flow smoothly. Awesome job Zoey, thanks for sharing this incredible jewel with us.
This was the final, boo for me, book in this wonderful three part series. Expect solid writing and a story filled with fated mates and high heat. There is actually story and you care about these characters. The whole series had you wondering just how can this end? The side characters are doing some rather interesting things...maybe more angels down the line? One can hope!
He devastated her, can he truly have her back?
Oh, my and geez. This girl kicks butt! I love that aspect. I was on the edge of my seat wondering (if they'll be more stories please!) what would go on in this world? I felt so bad for them and then woah. Expect some twists and turns because this one was fitting for their love and their story. I loved this and thought it was done well. More angels would actually be amazing. And these covers. My goodness. I need to build more bookshelves because they are so nice to own, even without the awesome covers. I can't imagine what will be be next. But I know it will be worth waiting for!
I loved the ending to this one. I have to admit I didn't think it would end quite the way it did, but it was a really great way to end the series!
Thea expects to see Cam. But he and Zak have yet to come and talk to her, and her healing is going very slowly. She isn't sure how to feel about anything and the promise she made to Amber, she is now unable to keep.
When she finally heals she gets some information that will change everything again. And the angels want her to do something she doesn't think she will be able to do.
At the same time Cam is still imprisoned and yet he now is also healing himself. But his fate still hangs in the balance. He still loves and wants to protect Thea. But he doesn't think Thea will ever forgive him for what he did.
I love how you finally find out what happened to Thea's mom. But I am a bit sad at what happens to Amber by the end of the book. I definitely hope there is more story to be told in this world.
*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author*
4.5 - 5 star rating. This was an intense, dramatic ride for me with Cam and Thea struggling to have a relationship and not let the angel and demon world get in the way. This ending to a great trilogy was sad for me because I didn't want it to end, but it did, and it did so pretty well. The whole thing was kinda intense action wise. Thea goes through a lot, and I'm glad she did, because her hesitation with Cam after he scared her- while understandable -was still hard to take whenever the story took on Cam's depressed POV. I loved the things explained in the previous books, loved the way it all turned out. An overall entertaining read. I'll miss Cam and Thea, and hope to see them in Zak and Amber's story.
The ultimate battle: which realm will be victorious – angels or demons?
Cam’s current predicament creates a void that allows Thea’s insecurities to run rampant and makes her susceptible to outside influences – with potentially devastating results for humans and angels alike. With yet another challenge looming, can Cam convince Thea that their love is still worth fighting for? There were a few surprises I’d not anticipated and some revelations that resulted in a few ah-ha moments. There’s also some anguish, action & adventure, conflict, and violence, along with several very steamy encounters in this well written installment. I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
*spoilers* I love this series so much. The main characters Thea and Camael are so great. In this book so much happens. Thea is messed up from Cam attacking her. This book is probably the first time the main guy does something horrible and I didn’t push for the main chick to punish his butt. Since she’s down mentally, emotionally and physically she gets possessed by a demon. All the while Cam is in angel jail, Zak is held up by the Thrones, Dani doesn’t know anything and Aseroth is not able to say exactly what she needs to know. So she’s basically alone to deal with all her issues on her own. It’s all such a good story. I would definitely tell anyone to read it.

I really wanted to love this last installment. It just went on and on. Took me forever to finish. The entire Angel Realm played the blame game over and over. The blame for Thea’s “problem” went from Cam to the Dominion League to the Thrones. So many twists and turns came into play that it got confusing. One angel would know a twist about demons that no one else knew about, but had failed to share it. Another angel knew a twist about the Creator, but had failed to share. It just went on and on, like a bunch of kids. It did have a good ending, but took way too long to get there.

This is the third and final book in Thea and Cam's story. You must read all of these books and in order to get the complete story. While I enjoyed this series and truly liked some aspects of it (the overall story idea and the level of drama, tension and suspense), others I struggled with (the likability of the characters and this couple in general). I'll admit that Cam had his moments but Thea I actually actively disliked. She may have had her reasons but I thought she was a grade-A witch. As for as a couple, I could never overcome the feeling that two such frustrating and very childish people could sustain a lasting relationship. This is my candid, voluntary review.
Character development ✔️ Chemistry between Cam & Thea ✔️ Relationship with supporting characters ✔️ Imagery ✔️ Language ✔️ The juxtaposition of the Angel Realm and the Demon Realm✔️ Family elements✔️ Friendships✔️ This clear idea that even with best intentions sometimes things just go absolutely pear shaped!✔️
I feel like this series is just beginning, what about Zak & Amber?! Elyon? The lil virtue angel (I forgot her name lol)?
Come on Zoey!
Minor typos but it did not take away from what was really a fabu series!
I was a little unsure about the authors writing style when reading the first book in this series, but by the time this one ended, I have added every book she's written to my tbr list! I read this book in one night, I couldn't put it down. It was an emotional roller coaster through a well developed story that brings you to tears and then leaves smiling with a feeling of hope.
The book seemed like it was setting up to have a spin-off series focusing more on Zac, which I would have loved to read. Especially as it would have provided glimpses into Thea and Cam's continued relationship, but from what I can see, it never came to be. It makes me sad to have to say goodbye to these characters.
I received this book as an ARC and am giving an honest review.
This final book in the series was definitely a shocker in the beginning. Thea and Cam were hit at every angle by forces that were beyond their control. Struggling to get answers that were always just out of reach. The first half of this book makes you want to jump in and shake the characters to try to help Thea and Cam. Zak plays a much bigger role in this 3rd book also and warms his way into your heart. Then suddenly the story twists and turns racing toward a great ending. This entire series is so worth reading!
This is book 3 of the Empire of Angels and what an amazing conclusion to this series. Cam’s and Thea’s love for each other have had so many ups and downs but it’s mainly been downs but Cam is determined to make things right with Thea. Wow this story is so emotional and I can’t wait to see what this brilliant author brings out next but you do need to start from book 1 Claimed by Power which is free right now on Amazon so there’s no excuse, this is a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Awakened by Power is the third book in the Empire of Angels series and it's fantastic! I absolutely love Cam and Thea and this book is a wonderful ending to their story. Thea and Cam's relationship has many struggles and isn't an easy one. This book held a few surprises I didn't expect, it had action, violence, and some steamy encounters. Overall, a excellent read and I can't wait to read more from this author.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Love the story you want action drama and love you got everything on it but what’s next coming soon
Wow talk about totally different the series was so much drama action knowing different type of angels demons I couldn’t put the book down it was also sad to certain parts but I understood you have to read the first book to understand this whole entire story but now you left me hanging with the next series that’s coming out soon I want it now must read it very good
What a fantastic follow up in the Empire of Angels trilogy! You feel so much for Cam and Thea and the problems they face, both in their relationship and also with the Thrones and Dominion angels. What l did not foresee was the complete turn the story took! This book was gripping from the start, full of action and heartbreaking to read in parts. An amazing story, l loved it and cannot recommend it highly enough ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the third and final installment in the series and you have to read all books in order to get the full story. That said, "Awakened by Power" was a rollercoaster of an emotional read for me, with plenty of angst and drama before the HEA. I hope the author expands the world she has created and provide us with a spin-off of the series!
