This book got such a good review that it made me curious. I decided to try and found that this book is such a disappointment.
1. The plot is so cliche that you know almost immediately how things would go and end.
2. The bonding which the two main characters had are purely based on lust. The writer mostly mentioned their sex life and how attractive they look. I could not see how this relationship was going to last. It is so extremely shallow.
3. There are some scenes that I think are critical and worth spending time telling the detail so that it would be even more dramatic. For example, the confrontation scene between the female leading character and her father. That scene is a good material for dramas, but it ended in just a few sentences I could not help but be disappointed. That scene is one of the sources of the conflict in the relationship between the leading characters, and it is also showing the conflict the main female character had with her family. Yet, it was so short that it made me sad.
4. The detail of the story does not make sense, which shows that the writer did not do the research properly. I lost count of how many times I begged the writer to please, make the story makes sense. I know that the writer wants the female leading character to be such an angel and have a happy ending, but you should be realistic about what could be and what could not. Tons of these details are so unbelievable that they ended up funny sometimes. If this story is in the fantasy genre, I would not complain, but it is not.
After reading this book, part of me thought that it is understandable how this book is one of the best sellers. It is so dreamy and people might think that it is such a hopelessly romantic love story. However, the other part of me could not help but wonder how this book made its way to the best seller's shelf. The writer tried to make the story romantic which ultimately resulted in the book having so many unrealistic details that I could not enjoy. I often ended up thinking about how that thing was difficult to happen in real life. Some of the things in the book even infuriated me. Therefore, 1.5 stars should be enough in my opinion.
