What Happened in Vegas
Only a best friend for life would agree to this fake dating scheme…

Sweet story about Luke & his best friend-roommate instagrammer, Jesse.
They have been secretly in love with each other for years, but do not act on it until Jesse asked Luke to be his fake-boyfriend.

A quick, but complete MM romance in about 100 pages. I enjoyed this book better than Give Me a Hand by the same author. This story flowed better, had waaay less angst, and less (but still copious) detail and descriptions.
I don’t prefer a lot of description between dialogue statements, as it makes the conversation hard for me to follow. Rich descriptions are good, then the dialogue can drive the story along. Other readers may prefer this author’s style of paragraphs of description between many of the dialogue lines. Many readers love every contextual detail spelled out.
The characters were kind and sweet to each other. I didn’t need as much insertion of Sheila, Jesse’s ex fiancé, in the plot, but I understand the author chose to have Sheila as a thread of continuity throughout the book, and it works ok.
A funny premise and a good balance between character dialogue, relationship action, and side story. I think if the author had a longer format and really unfolded the story of Jesse’s long-standing crush on Jude, that could have been a great love story full of feelings and a five-star read.
What we do get is a story that moves along and delivers the action many readers expect and want in a MM romance, wrapped in a tender (but not toooo tender) package., good enough and interesting enough that the descriptive sex could have been fade to black and it would still be a good love story (acknowledging many readers crave explicit passages, and you get some of that here, though in a fairly brief format).
I find it interesting how female authors choose to describe MM relationships and MM sex differently, particularly when the main reading audience is (assumed) female. My list of male authors of MM romance is small, but I enjoy witnessing the contrasts between all the authors and digesting each story as the author’s elucidation of a MM romantic relationship. Four stars for this BookDaddy.

This story is such a fun ride that features Instagram influencer culture, sexy leather jackets, lots of humor, and the hilarity of fake boyfriends-turned-accidental husbands! What more can you ask for than an oops I married my fake boyfriend in Vegas story? It's like my birthday and Christmas rolled into one!
Jesse and Luke have incredible chemistry and I loved seeing this story play out from both of their viewpoints, laced with heartfelt pining for each other. The dialogue sizzles on the page and I loved the humor infused into these characters. Gwen has a talent for scorching tension radiating from subtle casual touches that lights your e-reader on fire. Getting to see these two friends figure out that things run deeper for them than a fake relationship arrangement was so enjoyable. This was such a great read and I recommend it to any romance lover!

An enjoyable, well-paced contemporary m/m romance novella with excellent banter and great chemistry between the two main characters. The writing is good (albeit in need of some polishing: I caught several typos) and the side characters are vivid and interesting.
My one gripe is that the conflict () seems exaggerated to me. I can't see why the big deal, why Luke was so hesitant to let the other know, and why Jesse was so angry as to call it a "betrayal". This dissonance between how I viewed the issue and how they did threw me out of the story a little.
Overall, it's a fast, smart romance with heat and with fun dialogue and a great relationship between the two characters.

Cute. Besties to fake boyfriends then to lovers.
These two were cute. Been friends for ever. Basically the ride and die kind. Luke would do anything for Jesse. Because he has a secret crush on him. Jesse was invited to his ex-fiance wedding as a U tube cover shot. Jesse needed a date to take with him and couldn't find anyone to fit the bill. So he broke down and asked his best friend to be his plus one. But as a boyfriend. Keep in mind that Jesse and his ex broke up due to her accusing him of being in love with Luke. so here is where the drama gets to start. Getting drunk. Going to the Vegas chapel and posting on Instagram they are married that kinds of over throws the ex wedding off. You just have to read the rest to find out what happens next.

but then they kiss and jesse knew right then that what her ex told him was true.
add a few booze, a chapel and a back in the normal live...
luke though he mess up is chance in vegas, he mess his friendship with jesse,
will they resolve their problem and confess their love for eachother?
read it. beautiful story full of emotions, indecision and love!

Jesse and Luke fool around (no penetration just oral and frottage). There is a tad bit of relationship drama when Jesse learns what DIDN’T happen. Overall, it was a quick and enjoyable read.

Jesse and Luke have been BFF’s all their lives, when Jesse’s ex-fiancé invites him to her wedding in Vegas he convinces Luke to go as his date. They’re both already into each other but neither can admit it, complete with a ‘fake’ marriage this is a cute read.

A quick but great story. Best friends to lovers are some of my favorite books and this one didn't disappoint. I absolutely adored Luke and Jesse and I didn't want their story to end. Loved it!
