So, I should have read this one when it was first released during the holiday season of 2019, but life and other books got in the way, and it ended up waiting an entire year for me to tackle it during this Christmas season.

IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH THE WAIT! 💗

Set during Trent and Drew’s first Christmas as husbands and new fathers (about half a year after the life-threatening events that took place in #Fate), this festive and heartfelt novella followed these two wonderful men through some heart-melting moments.

Their sole focus here was making Christmas a magical experience for their two adoptive children, especially little Travis, who has some serious hang-ups to overcome after spending his short years in a troubling and unloving home situation.

But you just know, with it being Trent and Drew Mask, that these kids are in for a lifetime of love and support now they have their new daddies on the case. And, unsurprisingly, this little story was absolutely filled to the brim with swoon-worthy moments and emotional little gems that brought a tear to my eyes a time or ten over the heartbreaking things Travis said or the monumentally perfect acts of love displayed—not only by Trent and Drew, but by their larger family from across the #Hashtag and #GearShark series.

And lord do I love all the characters across these interconnected series! Made-family has never been quite like this in all my years of reading. I adore Trent and Drew to the heavens and back, but every single family member and friend in their orbit remain dear character favourites to me, even years on.

With that in mind, this holiday novella couldn’t have worked better for me if it tried. It made me laugh and cry and swoon, and it had me SERIOUSLY considering dropping all other reading plans to dive back into an epic 16 book re-read marathon... and I have a feeling I’d enjoy them all just as much or possibly even more a second time around! Just sayin’!

Honestly, I couldn’t happily read about the everyday happenings in the lives of Trent and Drew forever, and I’d be juuuuuussst fine. 🥰

Here we go again, with Cambria Hebert sneaking another book in on us! Just when I had my heart resigned to the fact that #Fate was the final book in the #GearShark series, she goes and gives us #HEA and I couldn't have been happier!
This was such a perfect little Christmas story, it gave me all kinds of feels. I was grinning so hard at times, and then sweet little Travis brought on the tears.
I just loved this world Ms. Hebert created. While I would happily continue reading about these characters, endlessly if I'm being honest, I think this was a wonderful send-off for them- the most wonderful Christmas present!

Oh my heart. This was such a cute, heartwarming novella. After #Fate which was such a bloody emotional book, I'm glad Cambria give us this novella, where we got to see Trent and Drew happy as can be and rocking being parents.
They are amazing with the kids and gosh getting to see the whole gang being so extra for Christmas was so fun. I love them all so much and the love and support they show each other always hits me right in the feels.

Best Christmas Present Ever! Thank you Cambria!

"Football, frat houses, street racers, and pro drivers collided, and now here we were, dressed in ugly sweaters, eating cookies, and being a family formed by loyalty and love."

What to say about this book... Well I definitely read it with a smile on my face, sometimes a few years. This characters are too sweet, too amazing and I'm so happy I found them. Don't remember when or how, I'm just happy I got to read them.

HEA is a perfect short story about Christmas with our favorite family. The entire group gets together to give a beautiful Christmas to a couple of kids who didn't know better.

Prepare to laugh, cry and swoon on this one. Cambria you never disappoint. I'm sad is the last one but I'm happy. I can always go back and re-read them all ❤️.

This was sickening sweet. Absolutely perfect.

This novela focus on Trent and Drew and their kids. But the entire gang is heavily featured. It was nice seeing everyone together for the holiday. Travis is one special little boy and the #hashtag #gearshark gang come together to make his first Christmas a special one. I got choked up a few times and was grinning like a fool at other times.

Trent and Drew are such a heartwarming couple. The way they look at each other and love each other. Trent being such a natural daddy to Travis and Andi. ❤️

I'm going to miss these guys so much. #Trew

I finished the rest of the series years ago and fell in love with all of this cast. I finally took the time to read #HEA. It was cute and great to catch up with the GearShark and Hashtag gang. I love their family dynamics and all the kiddos.

Best Novella Ever!!

This is by far the best novella I’ve ever read. All of our favorite characters being their awesome selves. I love how one sentence spoken by a little boy can turn a holiday even crazier than it normally is because that boys family knows he deserves love and his first amazing Christmas

I have read this series and #Nerd back to back like inhaling it.

I marked every single book still marked as currently reading since I didn't even want to stop one and write a review.

Now I have a dozen books that I have to dig into my memory to write a review which isn't ideal at all, but I started with the last and going backwards.

This book was so nice, I had a hard time to even start a new book. I was thinking about Trent, Drew, Arrow, Hopper.... even before I sleep I felt that they are real people. It's hard to disconnect from them, and just thinking that they were imagined in Cambria's head and then now feel so real to me, is by itself incredible.

After I was done with this sweet reunion I couldn't even start a new book, even though I did a lot of research on what might be next. Even started a book but couldn't even feel the characters. Reading these books back to back I felt that I am not making an effort with understanding the characters, learning about new people, moods, and settings. I couldn't fathom the energy to even be dragged into a new world.

The change in Drew was fascinating being the 'wife', clingy and suddenly very dependent on Trent was very touching. The whole shift in their relationship even physically was endearing.

I liked it that they have now a big family with 9 kids, half a dozen pets and the two worlds merged.

How Arrow quit racing was a shock, same with Joey, I didn't expect that so quick but seems like the right thing to do to the book since it can't be all of them being racers and winners and podium smashers. It felt realistic and less fiction.

I kept hoping that Hopper and Arrow might decide to have a baby somehow but seems the only thing Arrow is getting is a dog for the time being.

It felt like a nice wrap to the series all ending well with Drew's reindeer food.

What Romeo did to please Travis and pretend he is Santa Claus was so touching even though I kept fearing he will fall and break something. It was risky for a professional quarterback to do that.

I liked how Bradean was still picked on, how Ivy was still styling everyone the ugly sweaters was really amazing addition. Esp how Lorhaven was being difficult and how his daughter simply owns him and whatever she says is done, so sweet.

Nice wrap.

I am not sure I want to start reading the other series I might dive into them but really one thing that REALLY REALLY pisses me off is how Cambria writes her blurps... they are useless and if I don't read the detailed reviews of readers who go into trouble of summarizing the books, I would sometimes not know who is the main character.

I seriously don't like her blurp style....

4.5 stars — You know what I love about the way Ms. Hebert writes even just Christmas novellas for these serieses? They’re not just fluff…they’re never fluff. You continue to see more growth in both the characters and in their relationships. That’s what makes me love these series and these characters so much — they feel very real in their emotions and connections with one another. Yeah, some parts are a bit idealistic (like them all being rich as sin and able to use their celebrity for things us plebes never could), but that’s all just like background massaging. The meat is how they interact with one another.

I expected a lot of the story to surround Travis and their first Christmas as a family. But it wasn’t just that. There was still a lot of growth happening for #Trew. I’d previously read the short story The Prank that was included at the beginning, and I loved the way bits from that story permeated #HEA as well. I loved that Drew wanting to make traditions and give Trent what he didn’t have as a child became something Trent could understand with Travis.

Yeah, there were a lot of fluffy happy parts with all our favourite characters…but it was mixed with a lot of heart and heartache (Drew still recovering mentally). It was a great balance, and it was exactly what I didn’t know I wanted.

>Book Review - #HEA
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is a holiday novella, #7 in the Gearshark series and ends in an HEA. Trent and Drew are series favorites and this book highlights their first Christmas as a married couple and as parents. For the first time, they feel free to show PDA and Braeden’s reaction to it is really funny. I loved how the little boy, Travis is not the perfect child. He came from an abusive home and was terribly neglected, so expecting him to have perfect behavior is unrealistic. The whole gang pulls together to give him the perfect Christmas. Parenting mistakes are made, such as promising too much. Romeo really comes through with an actual reindeer, unlike at my house, where we just made reindeer tracks!
>The ugly sweater party and cookie making mess was so fun to read about. I wished there was a scene with the kids making gifts for each other or their parents! The love everyone has for each other is so awesome. The recipes and interview at the end of the book are also a treat. This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this novella 5 stars.

Oh My Heart! ❤️🎄 #HEA was book 7 in Cambria’s GearShark series. It was the last book of the series and they must be read in order. I was so excited to read this, I have loved the entire Hashtag and GearShark series. It was very bittersweet; the book was absolutely amazing but it made me sad knowing we have come to the end. I know it sounds crazy, but these characters are like family!! Who likes to say goodbye to their best friends and family?? (Well...unless it’s crazy Aunt Martha 😂) Honestly, Cambria brought these two series together in an amazing Christmas novella with lots of laughs and good memories!! What a way to end an iconic series!!

Trent and Drew come together with the entire family to show one little boy who tried to say Santa was fake what Christmas was really about!!

I would read about these guys forever!! I truly hope we get to see everyone make appearances In the future, I just can’t imagine a world without them ❤️ Thank you Cambria for giving us such loveable, amazing and memorable characters!

The perfect little holiday novella starring the #Hashtag and GearShark crew!

I absolutely loved the lengths that the families went for their children, ensuring they had a memorable holiday! Little Travis never experienced the joys of Christmas and his Daddies were determined to correct that right away. Nothing’s more swoon-worthy than protective Dads pulling out all the stops for Christmas!

The compound was absolutely bustling with cheer. Lorhaven, Joey, their kids, Arrow and Hopper all popped in to spread the holiday cheer which just added so much more chaos and love to the story.

Could Trent and Drew be any more amazing, as husbands and fathers? Queue the heart eyes and drool!

Holiday Happiness

This book was unexpected but soo good. We all know kids who never had much of a Christmas therefore don’t believe in Santa. This is how Travis has spent his Christmas’. He tells his Aunts, Uncles and cousins that he is not real which starts a shouting match amongst the kids and surprised looks among the adults. When Trent and Drew learn how their son has spent his past Christmas’ they vow to make him believe and make this the best Christmas he has ever had. They get help from Romeo, Rimmel, B and Ivey and what they do just warms your heart and really puts you in the holiday spirit.

I loved seeing the short story "Prank" included at the beginning of the paperback novella.

Oh my god this was a Novella I didn't even know I needed to have in my life. I loved seeing the entire #Family and #GearSharkFamily for the Christmas season trying to make sure that sweet little Travis got the Christmas that little boy actually deserved. Everyone coming together to make sure that Travis believes in Christmas and Santa melted my heart.

Such a sweet ending to this series and couple. It was so sweet to see them with Travis and trying to make his first christmas with them the best he’s ever had (I think they succeded). Travis is such a sweet boy and I’m really happy he ended up with Drew and Trent as parents. Same with Andi. These kids will get the best life, filled with lots of love, happiness and laughter.

This was also a really good ending to a fantastic series. It was lighthearted and funny, with a few heavy emotions mixed in. But it was really good to see the whole family together and interacting whitout the whole accident hanging over them.

All the Christmas feels ❤🎄

I loved this book so much, but I'm sad to see the series end. #Junkie was the first M/M book I'd read, and those boys will always hold a special place in my heart. This was the perfect Christmas themed, feel good addition to the story. The guys as dads are adorable. The love they have for their kids is so strong it's portrayed in every line of the book. I'm sad to see the series end, but it ended on a great note. I hope Cambria considers writing more M/M books in the future, because she is amazing at it. I see many re-reads in my future!!

Great end to a great series!

What a wonderful surprise to get only a month after #Fate came out and thinking Fate was the last book. This was a perfect ending to a simply wonderful series. The entire gang was here and they all joined into the Christmas spirit as one big, happy family. This is a ideal place to end this marvelous series. Knocking off 1 star because, believe it or not, I thought it had just a little bit too much sweetness, bordering on corny at times. Everyone who loves this series won't regret reading this holiday surprise!

This was a really great slice of life addition to the hashtag series. There’s something special about this found family Cambria has created, and more so about Trent and Drew. Their journey to happiness has been hard won and just when they thought they settled into a routine, life throws them another obstacle in the form of their newly adopted son not believing in Santa. This story was heartwarming and truly showcased the author’s writing skill, particularly family dynamics. Overall, I’d highly recommend this read for fans of the series as you won’t be disappointed.

This was precious and perfect and wonderful! Thank you for letting us have just a few more moments with this family that’s become so dear to my heart!!!

I’d totally be ok with a story about Emily even just to be able to visit with them all again! I won’t beg, just know I love Trent, Drew and the ragtag family they’ve made in everything you’ll give us, long or short. A perfect holiday read! ❤️

This will melt your ❤️

This book/novella puts a nice bow on the beloved #gearshark series and is the final installment. So grab tissues because this will melt your holiday heart but also because it's the end of one my all-time favorite series. This book really just makes me feel at peace, like I'm in front of a holiday fire, eating Rim's cookies and sipping on Apple Cider while I wait for Santa and his Reindeer.

Christmas dreams!!!!

It’s no secret I love my #Hashtag & #GearShark families. I never knew I needed a book. Atleast until Cambria surprised us with this! I loved all of it. I felt for Trent and Travis and was so happy Drew was able to give them an amazing Christmas. Especially Travis, that baby broke my heart.
Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love family time with my babies and this book gave me more ideas on how to do that!

Best #Christmas wishes and #HEA!!!!!!

The perfect holiday novella, the perfect character update, the perfect ending to a perfect series. Trent and Drew and their new family dynamic showing the children the meaning of christmas. This couple I just cannot get enough of them. Trent with his silent strength and Drew with his cocky demeanor allows himself to let down his guard only with his husband. Love these #hashtag and #gearshark families. #trewlove forever. Not sure 5 stars is enough.
