What an emotional, angsty, and swoony conclusion to the series! Readers have been left hanging at the end of the previous books, but this time everyone comes clean. Questions are answered and truths are revealed. It's a difficult journey, but completely worth it in the end! Clean Break is book 3 in the A Little Like Destiny series and is not a stand alone. It should only be read after reading the previous 2 books.

I loved seeing everyone's true colors in this book. The good, the bad, and the inevitable ugly. Clean Break picks up right where book 2 left off and to say it starts off with a bang is the understatement of the year!
description

Things get flipped inside and out and you are left reeling from the revelations. There is plenty of pain and drama left in the wake of everything that is exposed, but have faith that true love will eventually prevail. Nothing worthwhile in life is ever easy, but this only makes the destination that much sweeter. Mix in some sinfully sexy times (better than bacon!) and an epilogue that brings everything full circle, and you've got one amazing conclusion to the series!

This conclusion is EXPLOSIVE!! I was IMpatiently waiting to see what would happen between Mark, Brian and Reese. Lisa definitely DID NOT disappoint me, I may.....in the past due to "feels" over load threatened to kick Lisa in the shins but it was because I was so passionate about this series and what would happen to these characters!

Emotions were ALL the way high if you remember what happened in book two. How things were left, how people were revealed to be absolutely terrible! I had my jaw on the ground.

Reese needed to do Reese and decide what wanted in her life. She has a lot to think about. Is true love worth it? Is it enough? Do you forgive and forget or do you start a new chapter on your own.

There's nothing more important than family but sometimes we CHOOSE are own family and come out on the other end stronger and wiser.

I went through every emotion with this book and you will too, one of my favorite series EVER!

What a perfect ending to a series that gave me cliffhangers that had me speculating on the outcome and waiting impatiently for the new book to come out to give me the answer I needed to know. This book was filled with deception, heartbreak, regret and most of all a love that conquered all.

The true Mark and Brian came out in this book and left me shocked and appalled for the revelations that were made on that roof top and showed me that two brothers couldn’t be more different. As brothers Mark and Brian were complete opposites with one being very calculating and the other being on a self-destruct path that put his life on the line. Reese was the common factor in both of these men’s lives and she was in turmoil when it came to these two. You will have to read this series to find out who was the better man and who eventually gave Reese her happily ever after.

This series is the kind of series that sticks with you and even though it has come to an end you still want more.

I received this book as an ARC for a freely given and honest review.

So I start reading this book and I want to yell “stop acting like a damn airhead doormat!”
To say Reese is dumb as two planks is a gross understatement. If she doesn’t grow a backbone soon I’m throwing my Kindle across the room and I hope it doesn’t kill the dog! This book just depressed the hell out of me. I was literally having chest pain, I wanted to cry right along with Reese and I wanted to punch Brian in the nose.
So I’ve suffered enough and I’ve finally started seeing light at the end of the tunnel. This story just got better and better and I’m not going to sleep tonight until I finish this book. The happy ending is fabulous and I really love both Mark and Brian, I’m kind of sappy like that. I highly recommend this book and I give this book and series five starts.

"How do you move on from the only one who has ever spoken to your soul?"

When I heard the title of book 3 was 'Clean Break', I sorta freaked out a little. Pair that with the ending to book #2, and I was super anxious before I even started reading this one.

This picks up right where 'Only Ever You' ends. Reese is left with a very difficult decision as her heart is torn between the two Ashton brothers. Once she pulls back the layers, she realizes that there is really only one choice... a clean break from all of it. That is until a phone call changes everything...

In my mind, there's only one choice for Reese. The problem is that nothing is ever simple with matters of the heart. I'm trying to keep this review as spoil-free as possible. But I will say that Clean Break has everything you're looking for in a great romance. It'll break your heart before it pieces it back together.

Lisa Suzanne brings out every feeling in this book. I even found myself crying at certain parts (the girls in Lisa's book group assured me that I'm not the only one who got emotional). Ever finish a book and want to go back to the beginning and feel it again, for the first time? That's how I felt with this series. I'm sad that it's over, but happy that it happened and I got to experience it.

{I received this as an ARC in exchange for an Honest Review}

“Clean Break” was so freaking good! Lisa is such an AMAZING writer! She just brings this story to life. You are feeling what Reese feels all the hurt and heart-break, all the anger and happiness you can feel everything. This book was so heartbreaking but so fulfilling at the same time. A love triangle for the ages. The twist at the end of “Only Ever You” and the beginning of this book I didn’t see coming! I was so shocked!  You finally get to see everyone’s true colors. It was shocking but oh so good. This book broke my heart but put it back together again.  It was so emotional. It was the perfect end to this amazing series. I will forever love Reese and Mark. They are truly perfect for each other. This whole series was full of surprises and twist and “Clean Break”didn’t disappoint. I am so in Love with this series. What an amazing book!

P.S. One of My Favorite Parts in this series is the songs Mark writes and sings for Reese! They are so perfect and always bring tears to my eyes and the ones in this book were just as amazing and wonderful as the other ones! Oh my goodness they were so good I wish Mark was real so I could hear him sing these songs!! #teamvailtail

P.P.S. I really want books about Jill, Tess, and Reese’s Sister, plus The other members of Vail!! I don’t know if it will happen but I can always dream!

5 "Bacon-Moan" stars!!!

"The Summer of Sin wasn’t as fun as I thought it would be. It was more like the Summer of Heartbreak."

'Clean Break' takes you on an emotional journey as we pick up right where 'Only Ever You' ended. This book is not only an emotional rollercoaster of a page turner but you may also want to hit Reece and Mark across the head with it at one point.(Softly lol) These two love others more than themselves, so much so, that they lose out on their own happiness. And man do I want them to be happy!

Their love is so fierce and magnetic...

But is love enough?

This is a must read for anyone who read the first two books. 'Clean Break' is an epic conclusion to a beautiful love story. I was shouting, laughing, singing and dancing throughout this book!

“Good pitches, no hitches, no forgets.” and “No regrets!” 🍻

“How do you move on from the only one who has ever spoken to your soul?”

Holy cow!!! Lisa Suzanne certainly ended the series PERFECTLY!!!! As with the other books, it only took me mere hours to devour this one. I was waiting for this book on pins and needles, especially with how things ended in book 2.

It begins exactly where book 2 left off. I didn’t think Suzanne could surprise again, but she certainly did with the beginning of this one! I learned very quickly that people aren’t always what they seem to be. Unfortunately for Reese, she finds this out the hard way. To say she is shattered would be a grave understatement. However, she uses this opportunity to begin with a “clean slate.” Her heart is nowhere nearly healed, but she finally invests in herself and not the Fox brothers. At times through the other books, I would get annoyed with her because of what I perceived as weakness. But, with this book, I really got to see what she was made of, and I have to say, I really liked her!

As the synopsis says, she may be dragged back into the Fox drama, and I hoped it wouldn’t stop her new-found strength and determination. If you were on the fence about one brother or the other, I think it’s safe to say you will be 100 percent either in Brian or Mark’s corner very quickly. I wasn’t sure how I would like it when I began the very first book knowing it was about a woman torn between two brothers. But in Lisa Suzanne’s capable hands, she not only made me like it but LOVE it. She handled a tricky, and sometimes painful story into books I loved and couldn’t put down.

I am being vague of the plot because I do not want to spoil a thing about this awesome series!!!! If you are looking for a quick read full of angst, drama, spice, and especially romance, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES! I do want to add something though, Lisa, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that maybe Ethan will get his own book!

4.5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Everything I had hoped for; Clean Break was a great ending to the deliciously addictive A Little Like Destiny series.

Reese was trying to carry on after that night on the rooftop, when secrets and lies were exposed. What was revealed was shocking, and I hadn’t expected that the result would be Reese returning home, alone.

But true love never dies and the love of Reese’s life was never far from her mind. One call had her returning to the family she felt she tore apart and never thought she’d see again. There was plenty of hurt and a need for healing, but I saw the light at the end of the tunnel for Reese and the man she chose, and it was bright and beautiful!

If there was one thing I would have liked to see from Reese, it would have been her being a bit more apologetic or remorseful for past actions. She was unfaithful and deceitful throughout her relationship. I felt that she should have owned her indiscretions and mistakes/choices at some point, but she didn’t. She placed the blame upon one person and I found that rather unfair.

Aside from that, I loved how Reese found her way back to the one she was meant for. It wasn’t easy, and it wasn’t without moments of heart-ache and bumps along the way, but it was worth it.

I really enjoyed this book and the series. It was angsty, dramatic, fun and totally sexy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to lovers of Rockstar and love-triangle romance!

Whenever I would read this series, It made me so happy & so giddy! Best feeling ever! From the very first book, I was hooked & completely consumed to the point I couldn't put it down! This series is my happy place & warms my heart! Clean Break is definitely my favorite book in the series! So many emotions & all the feels throughout this book & series! Mark Ashton tops all other book boyfriends! I have never been so consumed with a book or series, like I have with this! I'm sad it's over, but I am hoping for more with these amazing characters! The ending was perfect & this series will forever be in my heart! This is my absolute favorite series of 2017! Once again, Lisa has sucked me into these amazing worlds she has created & made me fall in love with her characters, their world, her words, & fall in love with a new book boyfriend! #CleanBreak #MarkAshton #ALittleLikeDestinySeries #OnlyEverYou

The perfect ending for a wonderful series. Mark loves Reese but let's her go. Brian never really loved Reese he was just trying to get back at Mark. And while Reese thought she loved them both, it is only when she walks away from any relationship does she realize who she really was meant to be with. But is it too late, can she get the man back that she chooses? Or will she end up alone and both men suffer? This story had me on the edge of my seat from the opening pages, but it is the honest, true characters that kept me reading. The reader could literally feel their pain, their angst and their hopelessness. I need to go back and re-read the series from the beginning as I cannot get enough of these books. A job well done. 5 stars are not enough.

This is the third and final book of the A Little Like Destiny series. We learn about what happens to Reese, Mark, and Brian. It's everyone's fantasy to just meet their rock star idol, forget about dating them! I really liked this book. It was an interesting read and I was invested in the characters to want to know what happened to them in the end. Would Reese truly be able to leave Mark behind? Would she move on with an ex? But what happens when she goes to see Vail in concert? Do Mark and Reese realize what they are missing out on? This book answers those questions and more! Don't miss out on this...live vicariously through Reese as she fulfills every woman's fantasy!

Clean Break is GUT WRENCHING! I have no other way to tell describe it as a whole. The angst in this story was taken to a whole other level of torture and heartbreak! I picked it up and couldn't put it down!

"My broken heart is in his hands despite everything. I need to talk to him, I just don't know how. He's as unattainable to me now as he was before I even met him."

Reese asks for thing and one thing only... a Clean Break. But can you truly have a clean break when you were so entrenched in two men's lives as deep as she was? Reese attempts to throw herself into work and friends when she isn't sitting around wallowing trying to get these men out of her head.

"And the biggest lesson I've learned is that no one ... can come between a man and the woman he's destined to be with."

The conclusion to this story is EPIC! Mind blowing and people are vindicated and loved and happy and I NEED MORE FROM THIS WORLD!

Loved this! First, I just have to say that I'm glad we didn't have such long wait times between books. I was so adamant about who I wanted Reese to pick and I am so happy with how things ended. The conclusion was perfect! Lisa took us on a very emotional and anxious ride with this series, but it was all worth it in the end! If you guys haven't picked this series up and you like the angst, love triangle and rockstar romance, go start A Little Like Destiny. Now that all 3 books are out you guys can binge read the series.
Thank you Suzanne for the arc! I am so excited for what's to come!

This was such an amazing conclusion to this series. Reese fell for one brother and then the other. Then heartache when she lost them both. How will Reese move on from this? In the end who will win her heart? How this story ends was exactly as I had hoped. This is a love story filled with lots of steamy chemistry and a story I could not put down. Looking forward to hopefully seeing more of these characters in other books.

Clean Break is Book three in the A Little Like Destiny series. It gives us a perfect ending to this amazing and angsty story.

“This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do,” he whispers. I look up at him through watery eyes.
“Then why are you doing it?” I ask. I want to know why our love isn’t enough—why I’m not enough.”

I loved this very emotional series with forbidden aspects, a bit of a twisted love triangle.

Wow oh Wow. Reese is done, she's lost her love and came between family what's left? When Reese witnesses Brian and Mark fighting and words exchanged she knows that any feelings between her and Mark are done , but her heart isn't ready for that. Mark knows he's pushed her away, but it's for the best or is it. Can these two move on and move toward each other and give their love a chance?

It is no secret that I am passionate about Lisa Suzanne's Rock Star series and enamored with this love triangle. I have included the ENTIRE SERIES in my TOP READS for 2017. Lisa's writing just comes to life and I laughed, cried, and swooned throughout this book and series for that matter.

I started this book at midnight just wanting to see what my friend was talking about Chapter 1 being intense... I could not put this book down until 3am and I was already on Chapter 20! This book is THE PERFECT ending to THE PERFECT series!

"Are you the one who dated both brothers?"
I duck my head in some combination of shame and mortification. "Yeah."
"Julie, stop it!" Lizzie's voice interrupts us.
I'm just saying she's a lucky girl to land both. How many other people can say they've done that?"

After reading Only Ever You, my heart shattered for Mark Ashton and with the cover of Clean Break I had so many questions of what was going to go down in this final book. Will it be Mark Ashton's Point of View? Will Reese just start over? How can she even go back to dating either of the brothers? Well you really need to carve out some time for this book because WARNING once you start you CANNOT stop! And maybe Lisa Suzanne should enter into the world of writing song lyrics because the songs in these books are GOOD!!!!

If you have read the first two books in the series then you know you just need to read this book ASAP and have no choice not to ignore this final book in Mark, Brian, and Reese's lives. I can only allude that CLEAN BREAK gives you the final closure that you crave throughout the series...

Everything comes to a head in this book! The whole series has been a roller coaster ride and this book was no different. I don't like triangles but this trilogy has kept me gripped until the very end. Emotions are turned up to 11 in this instalment. I was glad that things ended the way they did, even if the characters all frustrated me! A good read.

After the roll coaster of emotions of the first two books I was happy Mark & Reese could finally be together although I was surprised in the beginning how Mark let Reese go so easily & didn’t make any attempt to get her back until Brian stepped in. My suspicions about Brian ended up being accurate so I wished Mark would have chased after Reese once the dust had settled. But that drama is what kept me reading until I knew the end.

I was given an ARC for an honest review
An amazing conclusion, to a phenomenal trilogy.
The way ‘Only Ever You’ ended, I needed ‘Clean Break’, as soon as I got it, I stopped everything to read it.
I never wanted to pick a team but by the end of book 2 I was willing to admit I had. Both brothers are great, or so I thought. Book 3 starts where book 2 ends, within that first chapter I loved one brother and wanted to kick the other in the b@lls. No spoilers you’ll just have to read it to find out.
Clean Break was full of emotions; I was full of emotions when reading it. All questions get answers. Once I was done reading I wanted to read it all over again.

If you like a good love triangle full of emotion, disaster, heartbreak, frustration, sex and a HEA you gotta check this trilogy out!

Clean Break is the 3rd and final book in the romantic saga A Little Like Destiny between Las Vegas high school English teacher Reese Brady and rock superstar Mark “Fucking” Ashton. If you don’t get my slight joke with the F-bomb in the male lead’s name it means you haven’t read the first two books in the series, so stop reading my review and read those two books first. Because the first two books detail the start of a romance between Reese, Mark and his younger brother Brian. Neither of the first two books are meant to be read as standalones. Without reading them Clean Break won’t mean a whole lot. If you’re offended by my F-bomb I’d also suggest you don’t read this series because the author uses a lot of them as well as a lot of explicit sex in her stories. Her heroines spend a lot of time dealing with the throbbing ache between their thighs. Okay, assuming you’ve read books one and two please continue reading. But be warned again that my review contains plenty of spoilers and is intended for people who have already read the story.
This book starts where book two left off with Mark after heavily pursuing and finally winning the heart of our heroine Reese and swearing his eternal love, tells her she should be with his younger brother Brian. Reese is completely shocked that the man who called to her on a cellular level and swore he loved her suddenly pushes her towards his brother. Now one of the things that bugged me about Reese (besides banging Mark in his brother’s bed hours after he’d left it in book 2) is that she’s even considering getting back with Brian after being convinced that Mark is her soulmate. I mean WTF? But then a drunken Brian reveals what a true snake he really is. So you’d think, knowing what Brian did Mark would be all over getting back with Reese since hurting Brian is no longer a concern. But no. He still pushes her away despite her tearful entreaties. But not of course until they’ve tearfully made love one last time. So they make love and then Reese tells Mark that if he doesn’t want to be with her she needs a clean break from him and his family. Hence the title, sort of.
Much of the next section of the book is Reese dealing with her broken heart, Jill, her roommate/life-long BFF announcing she’s moving in with her boyfriend which forces her to find a new place to live as well as not having the daily presence of her BFF in her life when she needs her to lean on most. She moves in temporarily with her other friend and fellow school teacher Tess (whom I’m really not sure why she’s even in this series?) who thinks sex on first dates is a no-brainer and can’t commit to one guy. She reconnects with her ex Justin (also a teacher) who dumped her and broke her heart eight months ago after years of being together. He’s with somebody else but still thinks of her as a friend and since he’s not the last guy to break her heart now, she’s okay with it. I wouldn’t be but that’s just me. She even becomes friends with Alex his new love. But she’s avoiding Jill because she’s sort of pissed that Jill is forcing her to leave the apartment they shared and loved because she can’t afford it on her own. And its hard for her to be with Jill (or anyone in a happy relationship) because she’s in a relationship with Brian’s buddy. All of this while she’s preparing to start the new school year and accepts a promotion as a team leader for the English department which means more work to try and forget Mark. If that’s not enough Mark’s brother and sister and even her friends are telling her she was wrong for leaving Mark in Chicago and should have stayed and fought for him. He breaks up with her. Tells her she should be with his brother and then buys her a plane ticket to get out of town and she should be the one to try and reconnect? Huh? Reese spends the next four weeks just sort of going through the motions trying to hold it together. Then comes a fateful call from Brian that changes everything.
I was a bit shocked that the last third of this book is sort of devoted to Reese and Mark’s happily ever after. Not that I’m complaining because I love the happily ever after and can’t get enough of it. Just that it doesn’t normally happen until at least the last twenty percent of the story. When Mark O.D.s Reese rushes to Chicago (with the help of Brian) to be by his side in the hospital. Her presence pulls him out of his depression. He’s barely out of the hospital before he’s asking her to move in with him. Conveniently pictures of Reese getting out of Mark’s S.U.V. when they arrive home from the hospital hit the internet and her school administrators decide it would be a good idea if Reese took a long unpaid leave from her teaching position because her relationship with the bad boy rocker was too disruptive to the learning process. This after Mark had generously offered a private performance by him as an item to be auctioned off for the school’s fund raiser. Got to agree with Reese here, F-them! The final thing that bugged me about Reese in this story is as much as she kept declaring her undying love for Mark. As much as she kept telling us and him she was there for him always, she seemed to require a lot of reassurance from him to make commitments like moving in with him or going on tour with him. While I loved Reese I also think that in her anger with Brian she forgets that he told her that while he originally intended to use her to get back at his brother, he also fell in love with her and knowing she was cheating on him with his brother was part of the reason he said the terrible things he did that night while drunk. Not to mention he apologized to her several times, encouraged her to get back with Mark and gave her two-thousand dollars worth of poker chips she’d won at the casino using his money to gamble with and donated a new truck to her school’s raffle. She also forgets he not only told her about Mark being in the hospital and that he needed her, but made it possible for her to get to him including air fare from Vegas, a limo to get her to the hospital and security access to Mark’s hospital room. I’d be pissed at him but it seems like she could have given him a little more slack than she did after all of that. His statement that he fell in love with her just seems to totally get lost even though he had nothing to gain by lying about it. And I get why she didn’t like Brian’s secretary who was a bitch to her and I loved the scene at the wedding but I don’t get her righteous anger about Brian sleeping with his secretary while he was with her when she was sleeping with his brother while she was supposed to be with Brian? She really didn’t have any higher moral ground to stand on. In spite of all that I really enjoyed this story from the time Reese arrives at Mark’s bedside and they find their way back to each other. Wrongs are righted, new friendships are formed, nearly everyone kisses Reese’s ass for saving Mark and they all live happily after. How can you not be happy with that ending? And didn’t you just love Tess’s and Rachel’s reaction to seeing her with Mark?
Bonus info. Before reading the author’s A Little Like Destiny series I had read a series that was connected to this series. In that series Mark and the band are a bit older, settled and have their own record label. The book focuses on a pop/rock band MFB (My Favorite Band) that Mark’s label is helping get started and the romances between the lead singer Dax and the band’s manager Kylie in the first book Take My Heart and his drummer best friend Brody’s little sister Emily and the lead guitarist Adam as well as Dax’s younger sister and the bands bassist Rascal in Waking Up Married and then Brody’s romance with Ethan Fuller’s little sister Zoey who makes a brief appearance in this story. If you’ve read A Little Like Destiny you might find the difference between the brooding, wild man Ethan Fuller in this series and the older, settled big brother Ethan Fuller in The Benefit of Bad Decisions which is his little sister and Brody’s story surprising. And let me tell you Zoey starts out every bit as wild and self-absorbed in that book as she appeared in her brief appearance in this story. Of course before you go there you might want to read Ethan’s story in the two-book Unbreakable Thread series to see how he makes the transition.

The ending I have been waiting for!!! There was never any doubt in my mind as to how this would all end but I needed to read it for myself.

We are back to where we left off in Only Ever You, a confusing love triangle that is rapidly ending. But there is the twist that you didn’t see coming, yup…one of the brother’s lays a HUGE surprise out there for us. I couldn’t believe it.

Reese gets her clean break from the Fox brothers and attempts to start life over again…doesn’t work though. He (which he??) is always in the back of her mind, she barely makes it through her day to day. Everything is changing, her job her home her friends….it’s all so much.

My heart is stuck on a rooftop in Chicago.

All it takes is one unexpected phone call for things to begin to right themselves. I can’t tell you who called or what it was about…I’m not giving any of that away. Reese has so many decisions to make, she wants people to understand her feelings and why she is making the choices that she does.

Clean Break was the perfect ending to this trilogy and I can’ wait for you to grab it and see why!!

5 WONDERFUL stars! This is the epic conclusion for Reese, Mark and Brian’s story. I can't imagine a greater bookish pleasure!

Sweet sweetness! This book left my with a BIG book hangover. It was everything and more. Clean Break is pure PERFECTION. Lisa Suzanne has delivered an epic masterpiece! I can't imagine a greater bookish pleasure. It is painfully beautiful, powerful, angsty, deeply compelling.

The plot is addictive. It was a pleasure to see the evolution of the characters through all the three books of the series. This is so far my favourite book in the series. It left me a sweet taste which I want to keep forever. I cried, I laughed, I hated and I loved. Reading this book was a raw roll coaster of emotions. Every page took me into an emotionally journey.

Clean Break is the final instalment of the A Little Like Destiny Series. Each good series has to come to an end. Lisa Suzanne has given us one of the best series of 2017. She never disappoints her readers. You can feel her soul through her writing. She gifts us a piece of herself on each book she writes.

It’s hard to say goodbye to the wonderful characters she created. Reese, Mark and Brian will always have a special place in my heart. Their triangle love was intense and bittersweet.

“You don’t want to be with someone like me, and I don’t deserve to be with someone like you.”

Since I read the second book of the series I proclaimed myself a Team Mark because I suspected that Brian was hiding something (you will discover it). I could feel Reese’s pain in my skin. She was trapped between two brothers. Deep inside her she knew that her heart loves only one but her hesitancy caused her heartache. She though she needed a Clean Break only to discover she was wrong.

...
“I may not be a regular guy. Our relationship may never be ordinary. But I’ve never know what normal was until you showed m. That’s what you are for me.”

While reading this book I wanted to hug Mark. His life has been focused on being a rock star. Vail is his life. He didn’t know he was missing something until he meets Reese. She changed radically his life. It was a painful torture to see her with his brother. Mark has a beautiful soul because his beloved ones are always in first place no matter if his brother is an asshole.

“I want you naked in my bedroom... I want to show you what you mean to me, and I want to do it this time knowing it’s not to say goodbye.”

Brian is another story. He is the opposite of Mark. He is selfish. I hate him. Envy rots his soul (I wonder if he has a soul after all). He represents stability to Reese but for me he is a butthead.

Things will be cleared out. Real love triumphs after all.

“I never knew I could love someone this hard, this much, this strongly.”

I really enjoy the possessiveness in Mark. He is the rock star every woman dream of. His charm is his flirty smile and talent. He is a wet dream in flesh.

“You allowed me the clean break I didn’t know I needed, and now I can look toward the future with you we both deserve.”

A Little Like Destiny captivated me, Only Ever You broke my heart and Clean Brake put the pieces of my heart back together.

Whew! Clean Break didn’t break our hearts fully only at certain times in the story. This is book 3 in the A Little Like Destiny series and must be read in order. You must read book 1 and 2 to enjoy this story. This picks up right where book 2 left off and we were on the edge of seats waiting to see how explosive this bomb was going to be. Secrets are revealed and hearts are going to crack.
With the end of Summer comes the end of Reese’s Summer of Sin. She didn’t get either of the Fox men after all. She is looking for a Clean Break and trying her best to move on by focusing on a new school year and a few other things that you will see in the book. She rekindles a friendship with a co-worker she dated prior to the Fox men. I love where that went and the whole arm on the shoulder scene allows you to laugh now, but not while reading. Oh, I bet you wish you knew what I was speaking of, wouldn’t you? Seriously, I am not going to give away spoilers so you just need to grab these three books and binge read them back to back. Clear that schedule to read all in one weekend! At least you won’t have to endure the torture we did waiting for the next book to release as each cliffy left us trying to fast forward the release date.
Brian oh Brian, I have always said you were hiding something and holy smack us silly, we feel for you just like Reese did. I don’t think if she didn’t hear it with her own ears would she have believed it. That was a twist I did not expect. I will say you did redeem yourself though to a point with that one phone call. Though that one phone calls leaves Reese back to square one. The lies and deception have torn this family apart and Reese is left trying to decide if her actions are going to help or backfire.
There’s quite a few times it seems like Reese will never catch a break. It starts going good for her and then bam, she is given a downer. Those Fox men have a lot of decisions to make as well. I so want to say so much more, but those darn spoilers will release so all I can say is Tis the season for Pumpkins! You must read the book to get the clue.
After much torture, tears and laughter the ending was EPIC and made Reese’s Summer of Sin a #1 hit. Maybe Vail could release a song with this title. Haha While it is the end of the love triangle for the “safe” Brian (business mogul) and for “rocking your heart palpitations” Mark (Vail Rocker) maybe we will see one of them down the road. While the ending leaves us satisfied we know they aren’t done telling their story so keep speaking to Lisa so we get more in the future (even if it’s as secondary characters). Does Reese get the Clean Break she needs to heal? The only way to find out is to grab this trio pronto and get hooked on this forbidden romance with so much emotions that play with your heart. May Faith prevail True Love cause loving isn’t easy or it wouldn’t be worth the fight.

Swoon worthy

I just have to say this series has alot of angst. Ups and down. I really did love how they author showed all the feeling made feel them too. But in this last one I felt alot of things to be honest. It was so so wrong for what Brian did to Mark but not only that pretended to be in love with her dating her. But let's be honest for a min. And no im not taking Brian's side. But when she found out that Brain was Mark's brother she could of broke it off. That's if she loved him enough like she said and explained things. But she did fall for Brian. Even if he didn't feel the same she didn't know that. But then secretly had feeling for his brother behind his back. Even had an affair behind his back. So technically Mark did Brian dirty 2x. Because Mark slept with Brian's gf in the 1st place that started all that. So Mark's playboy Rock Star life started all this before she came into the picture. But really I just found it stupid they were all mad at Brian making everything his fault when it was all of theirs and they should of sat down like adults and not children. She could be hurt all she wanted but in the end she was still a cheater. Brian tried to do right and apologize fix things and even called her when he didn't have too. But he did and they still treated him like shit. And 1 last thing why did she care who he brought to the wedding she was with Mark. Who cares if she thought he cheated on her with his date bottom line she is there with Mark who cheated on Brian as well. Black call Kettle please. I thought her attitude was crap through the hole 3 book. Didn't care for her much. But see that's the thing with writing the authors get you in your feels. The good bad the ugly. You can laught puff out of anger or feel the angst. Even with my little neg above it's only my opinion and how I see it. I'm sure others are more deep them me on the love department lol. I did wish we got to the wedding and maybe a baby. Neither are getting younger. Don't get me wrong I loved every bit of this book. I love how it made me feel and can't wait to read Ethan and Brian's story's too.

This definitely was a conclusion worth waiting for <3

I was very conflicted when I came to an end with reading Only Ever You because how do you choose from two brothers that you have come to fall in love with? I know that Reese harbored stronger feelings for Mark than she did for Brian but either way, she still loved them both and she honestly thought that she wouldn't get anywhere with the hot rock star and with the reputation he had, it was hard to determine if he was serious about her or not. But when I was done reading this 2nd book, I was like WTF seriously!! And then Brian went on my sh*t list because what he did was totally uncalled for once I started reading Clean Break and found out his reasons for being such a jerk and doing what he did.

But in the end, she didn't end up with anyone once we jumped into Clean Break and it broke my heart that she was left pretty much right where she started and it wasn't fair what Brian did to her, that was a d*ck move on his part. I understand he was still hung up on what Mark did to him in the past, but seriously dude! Get over it already!! Mark had some thinking to do and he needed to figure out if being with the love of his life was the right thing to do or if he should figure out a way to forget her and move on (easier said than done)!

This series was a highly anticipated one for me and I loved absolutely every minute of every second as I read this story.

Lisa Suzanne has a spot on my favorite's list of authors and now every time she comes out with a new release, I jump at it because I have fallen in love with her writing, her words just stick to me.

A Little Like Destiny is definitely a MUST READ!!

5 CLEAN STARS!!

4.5 stars for me.
The final book on this series and it’s all about repercussions....honesty....love.....and destiny.....

Two brothers vying for Reese; a high school teacher. One brother pushing her away because everybody comes first except his heart. One brother destroying all in his path for avenging his past. And one women torn up for loving them both but loving one more then the other but not getting to choose that one.

Following Reese’s heart struggle, indecision, choices taken away and so much emotion.

I gotta tell you I was freaked out how this was gonna go down. So glad with the ending.

Let’s start with: wtf Brian.... I knew he had a mean side to him but never not once thought he could be such a villain- he needs to grow up, stop being a grade A prick and learn honesty. So what if he was living in his brothers shadows, He’s a grown man with a successful business he should no longer be crying poor me. And should never trample on peoples hearts. That makes Reese double life a better pill to swallow knowing the darkness in Brian. I hope he finds the light.

Mark- wow he really is a good guy, hides his emotions, puts everyone else first, protects, and cares for those he loves and doesn’t let fame/fortune get to his head- Lizzie really knows her brothers. But one self destructive night, one phone call unexpectedly and a trip thankfully made things right in the world again.

Reese is finally where she wants to be. Decisions were taken out of the equation but actually made things better for her.

I hope there are lots of babies coming for Reese.

And I hope Ethan gets his shit together and finds his one and only.
